Hey /an/,
could somebody help me out identifying a flower for me?
Pic related (1/3), I found them on a cemetary yesterday where somebody threw them away apparently. Since it's october already and they're still in bloom, I think that eliminates a lot of possible candidates.
Location is Germany, so I think they should grow in most temperate climates.
Will post two more pictures and I'd appreciate if somebody could help me out here since I myself have no clue when it comes to flowers.

we tool use now.
>>2237969
meh, cats can do that as well
>>2237969
That's akin to digging, no?
I mean it's not using something unrelated (tool), the the string is keenly related to the item of interest, I don't know how to explain it.
>>2237969
The only tool I see here is you, bugguy
What are some animals you dislike, disgust you or downright hate?
I don't hate any animals. They were all designed by nature over millennia, each filling a unique niche. They're all incredible.
>>2237875
Yet 99% percent of them went extinct.
>>2237875
This kid is a certified faggot
But to answer your question OP, centipedes, any and all centipedes
If I had a button that killed all of them in the most painful way a centipede could die I'd press it
I need to get rid of it.

This dog leaves Constant turds when i go to sleep around 2-5 piles and pisses everywhere. This dog needs to go.
>>2237890
Try training dogs that you adopt. If you can't handle the responsibility of taking care of another living creature, you shouldn't try in the first place.
Take the dog to the pound, it would be better off there.
I'm new here but what are /an/'s thoughts on corgos?
>>2237847
Cute meme dogs that actually have a good temperament unlike Shibas
>>2237849
Thats good to hear. I'm going to get one next fall, a friend of a friend is a breeder who will have a litter in by then.
>>2237849
I think you're confusing temperament with independence.
Really need some help here.
(tl;dr - adopted young GSD puppy with fiancé. Fiancé's advice on raising it conflicting with internet).
Fiancé and I are mid 20s, just adopted a 10 week old German Shepard. I never had pets growing up and didn't understand why she wanted a dog, but holy shit I am really in love with this pup. It's been 3 days and I can't get enough of her. I love carrying her and spending time with her and playing games.
Fiancé's family has dogs. They fancy themselves as dog people (they have 3) but non are really well-behaved and they are older. Fiancé has never had a pup this young and whole family is uneducated so I usually question things they say/do.
Fiance is doing things that I question. When I question things, I google them, and every site is telling me what she is doing is wrong.
For instance, she tries to force the pup down one of our stairs leading to the back door. Advice online says to slowly work up to bigger steps. She wants to crate train overnight for more than 8 hours with no water in the crate and no bathroom break. Advice online says to allow the pup out for bathroom breaks.
Fiance and I have discussed my concerns. There was some yelling and mean words. Her and her mother blow off my concerns as if I'm coddling. But common sense is telling me we are moving too fast. This common sense seems to be backed up by many sites online.
I'm planning on signing up for a puppy training class under the guise of me being new, and bringing fiancé along. I plan to address these issues with the trainer. If she agrees with fiancé, I will drop it. Otherwise, we will be following the trainer's plan.
Has anyone gone through this? Does this sound like we are moving too fast with this pup?
OP here, I just wanted to add a couple points. The pup is pretty well behaved. She sleeps a bunch so I usually carry her to her crate upstairs in the room next to the bedroom. After a couple hours, I go check on her and bring her down to eliminate, then play for a bit. If she seems lethargic, I bring her back upstairs. She usually crawls in her crate on her own. She hasn't pooed in the house since the first day we had her. And she sleeps in her crate on her own.
I'm thinking of keeping my bitch fiancé in the crate and letting the pup in bed. Thoughts on this would be appreciated as well.

Wow. You really fucked up making her your fiancé if that's how you are going to talk about your proposed wife.. To answer question though: You should both consult a dog expert or better yet the breeder you got the dog from and let her or him counsel you both face to face and have her hear what they advise. Then find a relationship counselor for future possible problems you guys might have with arguing.

+1 for putting the fiance in the crate and the pup in the bed
Can a dog survive in a forest?
I'd say a street smart dog might but I don't think that would work either.
>>2237781
Unfortunately not small dogs.

Just get a new one and move on, he's not coming back

Yeah i feed those to my pictus geckos. Good feeder insect, very nutritious for the geckos. I am very jealous of this man and his thousands of free ones. They are not cheap and are sold as "phoenix worms" for about $10/100 worms. $15 at chain pet stores.
>>2237688
They're very easy to breed. Whatever food waste you have will be enough.
Is that casu marzu?
Can anyone identify this spider?

Brown recluse?
>>2237676
i'd suggest not putting your finger a centimeter away from it, kinda looks like it has that signature violin
>>2237685
>Le brown recluse is dangerous meme
Hi, this little faggot just appeared in my house today, he's got some sort of black collar around his neck, bluish tail, and blue belly and under his chin is also blue.
I live in northeast Mexico, do you think it just came from the desert or is it somebody's pet? I know nothing about reptiles ...
I have more pics if anyone can help me
>>2237544
amazing thank you!
I've never named my dogs so I want /an/ to name them.
dubs = first name
trips = last name
quads = nicknames

Does anyone on /an/ actually work with or study animals? If so, what do you do?
No I make glasses
For humans

Animal shelter. Do everything from kennel bitch, to vet tech, to PR. Shit job, shit pay. At least I get a lot of good stories.
I draw the designs for wildlife/forestry projects.
so I basically make sure retards retards won't be able to fuck shit up whenever they're taking a stroll in the forest.
They seem like pretty cool birds. My grandma use to own a budgie and she let me feed it sometimes, I even still have it's old cage lying around. The only problem is I have a 4 month old cocker spaniel and i'm just a bit afraid in case the Harpy might upset him. Also do you think the harpy would mind being taken from the rain forest ?, i'm planning on moving to Finland next year
>>2237288
Hi anon.
Burbs are pretty and interesting. But here are some even prettier burbs: the sassy secretary bird and the mischievous bearded vulture.
Beware of Finns, they're violently autistic.
Take care.
>>2237288
A Harpy won't survive a week in Finland, even inside. Not to mention, these have almost killed people. Your dog would get devoured. If you're really adamant about a bird of prey, get an owl.
>>2237411
>Also do you think the harpy would mind being taken from the rain forest ?
OP isn't going to survive.
I have a 3 month old healthy kitten I got a month ago. He always dips his paws in his water dish before drinking or even just for fun and then the water gets dirty and sometimes gets litter in it and I'm worried he'll make himself sick doing this. Someone recommended getting a circulating fountain because he probably does it to simulate moving water before drinking from it. So I got one but now he just plays with t like a toy and slaps at the fountain and dunks his paws entirely in it and sometimes his whole head and hes always soaked.
Does anyone have a solution of this or dealt with something similar?
>>2237253
>cats are clean!
Some animals just like doing that. My rats dip their paws in their water and I've known dogs that do it too.
>>2237253
Before, he was trying to find out where the surface of the water is before he drinks, so he didn't stick his nose in it.
What kind of bug is this? Cat discovered it right next to me on bed.
Stink bug
I also just found out i have a couple of bed bugs. Likely cause of all these indian neighbors
