My walking stick was attacked and had all but two of his middle arms left.
I kept him alive in hope of after shedding his skin he would regrow the legs
Now i got home and cought him in the middle of shedding

The problem is, he seems to be struggling with the whole process and I wonder if i can help anyhow or should i let him be and hope for the best?

Hi, I have a new friend at home. This in my new hamster and it's the first time a have one. What type of cares do I need to take into account? Does it need any vaccine? Help me I'm novice with hamsters.

Why would you get a pet you don't even know the basic care for?
>>
Flush it down a toilet or shove it up your ass.

You've already expressed how fucked the animal is with all those poor questions.
>>
You are really stupid, your hamster is not a plush toy. Buy a book about hamsters and ask to the pet shop staff.

I got bit by a cat. Wat do?

Do I need antibiotics?

>>
>>2276856
Cat bites are nasty. Keep the wound clean and keep and eye out for signs of infection.
>>
>>2276863
So I don't necessarily need antibiotics as a preventative thing? Just wait to see if it actually gets infected?

You're about to turn into a cat

rippinpiss

Ok, this might be a dumb question but... How often do cats need to use the litter box?

I have a 13 years old female cat (not spayed). I left her 2 years at my parents' place because former roommate was allergic, and now that he left I took her home yesterday morning (it's 3PM right now where I live).

After the initial shock of moving, she seems to be doing fine now. She ate (she's not a big eater though, and has never been), now she's moving around exploring the place and sometimes coming back for some cuddles. I even saw her grooming herself earlier today. She actually seems to be a bit in a playful mind, climbing around etc. She still gets startled when a weird noise happens and runs to my bedroom, but quickly comes back out.

I showed her the litter box several times, but so far hasn't used it. I checked everywhere, she hasn't peed or pooped in any random place. How long before I should be worried?

Pic related, it's the little fucker checking around her new place.

It probably has a kidney stone. Soak its food in 1 cup of antifreeze to dissolve the kidney stone and cure it.
>>
>>2276824
i mean ive gone 7 days not pooping because of travelers constipation, she probably just needs time to adjust
>>
Mostly sure it's the same for cats--my dog refused to poop for two days when we moved apartments, and it took a long while to get him to pee, too. Spent a lot of time being paranoid he'd shit in the house so he returned to "puppy rules" for a while (crated whenever he wasn't supervised, bathroom breaks every two hours, etc). Chalk it up to moving stress. The animal doesn't understand moving.

If you're really worried, take it to the vet. I'd personally wait until two or three days had passed before I worried.

Are animals comscious?

They live, right? They have a "soul" unlike an object, right?

What about an insect or a small fish, are they conscious?

I think they are, mammals at least. As conscious as we are. They have complex relations and life, with complex problems they need to solve.

This
>>> ""ted talk"""
Video seems to say that animals are very conscious https://youtu.be/y9KeyKVuLHU
>>
Hell, rocks are conscious. Sure it's not as easy to understand their personality quirks and such but be nice to them and you might be surprised how it changes their erosion rate
>>
I compare dogs to infant children. I do believe most animals, especially dogs and cats, to be fully capable of awareness like an infant or young child. Self-aware? Probably not so much. And cats are just autistic babies.

I do care a lot about animals' happiness and do what I can with them to make them happy, which is usually just giving them something to do. I wish all conscious things well, but I don't believe it matters below a certain level of intelligence (I'd draw that line at... anything below a rat).

Does anyone have any experience with these? My gf wants an aquarium for christmas and likes the look of these, but all the reviews are pretty contradictory. Some say the 15L version is only good for shrimp and fish will die, while other reviews say that whoever says that is some sort of purist and they've had fish in them no problem.

Anyone have any thoughts?

If you pick a hardy species of fish, it might live a couple months. Maybe you could get a couple years out of a betta if you live in a warm climate.
But yeah, they are shit for keeping fish in. Especially if you want those fish to be healthy and live their full lifespan.

It probably be better for her to pick out the creatures she'd like to see in a tank, then find a tank appropriately sized to the needs of whatever she thinks is pretty.

Thanks, I really appreciate the reply. That's a shame, but I know she wouldn't want to be torturing and then replacing them every few months.

How do I give my cat a bath without him biting me? My cat slept in his litter box last night and now he smells really bad. Are there any alternatives to bathing my cat like some kind of disposable cat cleaning wipe? Last time we tried to bathe my cat it lead to a trip to the hospital.
