I thought this story was going to end in bestiality, I was disappointed.
Here's my apbt Odie. He is a year and a half Jeep bloodline. Rescued him from a shitty meth dealer who thought it would be a good idea to try to start a fighting ring. He had six dogs on his yard. All papered with semi decent bloodlines. All chained with no shelter. He fed them ol Roy when he remembered to. Anyway he went to prison and asked his chicken head girlfriend to take care of the dogs while he was in there. She maybe fed them once a week with that shitty ol Roy. Well I had enough of watching these things suffer. Traded her an 8ball of dope for all the dogs and their papers. Chained them in my back yard. And for the next three months I fed them grain free 30/20 food, paid to neuter most of them, and rehabilitated them into good condition dogs. Then sold all but Odie for $300 a piece with papers. Which barely covered the costs of getting them vaccinated and fixed.
Now my boy is 47 pounds of muscle. We walk for between three and five miles a day. 30 minutes of flirt pole every other day, and drag chains around the park near me every other day. He has bad separation anxiety and the exercise helps it a lot. I take him everywhere with me. He would rather stay in the car and sleep than be stuck at home. I don't mind his company, and he keeps people from breaking into my car. He is very protective of me and won't let any adults near me unless I tell him to stay. But when it comes to kids, he is a loving goofball to any kid that comes near. I still see a few of the other pups I rescued. I'll try and snag a few photos of them.
