/an/ I need your help
Why the fuck does my cat insist on always getting literally right up in my face?
I don't mind giving it attention, but it seems like every time I try to lay down and watch a movie, play my 3DS or use my computer my cat runs up and gets right in my line of sight so that I can't see anything else
I'm not exaggerating either, if I try to look somewhere else she moves, and if I try and get her to lay down on my stomach or beside me she, she won't stay still until she has crawled up to block my vision
How the fuck do I stop this?
Punch it
burn it
taht sound sso cute
Hi /an/, need some advice for my cats. We have three males, a 3 year old, 2 year old, and a 9 month old. The older cats have been together for a little over a year, but the youngest has been home for about 4 months. Normally they get along great. Every now and then though, the 2 year old will start acting really dominate toward the 9 month old. He'll do anything out of the random from forcefully sitting on the little guy to full on tackling him and biting his face. The youngest cat is definitely terrified when this happens, and I'm concerned that he will eventually end up getting seriously hurt. Is there any way we can wean our middle cat from his violent outbursts.
Pic related, it's the feisty little dick himself.
>place too small to keep the coffee maker in the kitchen
>3 cats
how do i know your place reeks, oh pee?
>>2278887
Coffee maker in pic isn't in use. Replaced it w/ a Keurig a few months ago and I was going to give the old one to a friend. Too fucking lazy to remember.

>3 cats
>unused coffee maker in bedroom for months
>keurig
>lazy
all signs still point to stench
Is it against the rules to post pictures of dead or severely injured animals in /an/, even in a veterinarian or wildlife preservation context?
Like, how cool are you guys with nature footage and animals eating each other alive sometimes fully displayed?
>>2278870
We have feelings based moderation. Nothing you mentioned in your post is against any rule, but there is no telling what will or won't get deleted.
i got banned for a month for posting a google dream

Here is a question for dog owners -
How commonly do you see parasites in your pets?
Has anyone in your household ever caught worms or another parasite from your dog?
I've read that dogs will develop worm infestations of multiple species pretty consistently if not dewormed monthly.
It makes sense - they are outside all the time, licking things, eating random crap, playing in puddles.
My dog gets a heartworm prevention pill every month and that also protects from some intestinal worms. I've had to deworm her once since she's on it.
I haven't caught anything from her but I've read that it's a good idea for humans to deworm themselves every six months or so even if they don't have dogs.

>good idea for humans to deworm themselves every six months or so
Using what?

My dog is 5 years old, never done any shit like that and he's perfectly healthy
Heres my kitty
Otto
My friend is convinced that these spiders on his porch in Sarasota, FL are pregnant black widows or some such. I grabbed one and took a shot of it. Does anyone know what spider this is?
Dude, it is just a harmless orb weaver. It looks nothing like a black widow.
Your face is an orb weaver
>>2278474
brown widow maybe. Hard to tell from shitty pic
>Work third shift, wife works 9-5
>She texts me that she made brownies for me before she left for work
>Get home 2 hours later
>My 2 cats have uncovered the brownies and eaten a lot of a large pan
Is there anything I can do? Is it too late?
>cats
>>2278427
Weed brownies?
Don't do anything. The cats will forget that they need to breathe. Problem solved.
>>2278427
If your cats display symptoms of poisoning you should bring them to an emergency vet. If money is tight, just bring them to a vet now. It will only be more expensive if you let them get worse.
>live in NYC
>neighbors dog crying and barking for hours now
>does this every night
What are some good ways to kill a dog with my mind?
>>2278358
Roll some of picrelated in some cheese product. Will make dog too sleepy and stoned to bark.
>>2278358
Just kidnap the dog and make it your own.
>>2278358
Buy a white noise machine
Last time I got one of my three dogs vaccinated, she was in agony, throwing up, couldn't walk and had seizures - all that required an emergency vet visit. The other two were fine except a little spit up from both of them but the three year mark is coming up.
Vet said that it was 'normal' for a dog to feel a little sick afterwards but not being able to walk/seizures was probably because she is an old dog. She was fine a few days later.
I'm not anti-vaccine but what do? What vaccines should she absolutely have, what ones can I skip? Should I have a vet 'spread' them out? Can she be exempt? I moved since then and am worried about being forced to get it all if I bring her in. My state seems to only require a rabies shot and she is 14, and while she is active and healthy now I don't know how long she will last.
>>2278303
1-Old dog or not, a seizure is no light matter and your vet should have asked you if you wanted to do any tests to make sure you knew what caused it, so, knew vet
2-Some specific breeds cannot have certain vaccines. Maybe your dog had one of those specific breeds in them, but more than likely you got a shit vet.
>>2278303
Rabies is needed. As long as they have had their one year shots for everything/anything else (which first time shots usually call for boosters) they will be very effective for the rest of their lives. Not as effective as if they got them yearly, but it would be good enough. They should really have had at least one complete round of distemper shots, I hope that was already done previously so you can skip them this round.
>>2278306
If the vet did that, this post would be "my scumbag Jewish vet made me get all these expensive tests for no reason and didn't even fix my dog!"
hey /an/, i have kinda a weird request. i have a roommate who's really depressed and i want to make him feel better. he likes naked mole-rats a lot and thinks they're adorable. i'm trying to put together a folder full of cute-ish pictures and gifs of naked mole-rats but it's hard just sifting thru images constantly, can i ask you guys to maybe post some naked mole-rats in this thread? i too will post pics, but i can't find a lot of cute pictures.
sorry if this is too much to ask.
can someone tell me that type of arachnid is this?
>>2278198
looks like some kind of spider
>>2278198
Looks like an Argiope sp.
Maybe A. trifasciata?
What do you know about plants and oxygen? Can I realistically purify the air in a roughly 8x10 room with a large enough pot of ivy?
Plants m use up oxygen at night, so you would be fucked when the sun goes down. This is assuming you have enough plant matter to purify the room and it's completely sealed
do the world a small favor and don't buy ivy
>>2278223
It's taking over the back yard so I was going to cut some where its rooting and put it in a hanging planter in here.
I am Kenny Glenn. Eight years ago I did something horrific, but there are many misconceptions about what actually happened and the person I am that I would like to clear up.
what's to clear up? you abused a cat and filmed it like a retard
>>2278161
This obviously is fake, but pic+timestamp faggot.
Nothing was wrong about what Kenny did he just was stupid enough to get caught.
>>2278201
so animal abuse is not wrong? is this bait?
