Can we get an /an/ documentary/movie thread? I want to get a collection of them to watch, and I was playing with the idea of starting up a rabbit room or Cytube room to stream it if there was enough attention for it. For the documentaries, I am trying to keep my list as unbiased as I can, although I definitely do have quite a few fear mongering ones in there. Also trying to stay away from astrology too, as it's more /sci/ than /an/. I'm debating on whether or not I should steer clear from /x/ related things like big foot.
This is my list of animal and nature documentaries so far. Some I have watched already, some I haven't.
Is the secret life of pets any good? It was advertised to fuck so I'm assuming not. Dog of Flanders is a really good movie, but I wouldn't recommend it for kids. Same goes for Watership Down
The tail of a 99-million-year-old dinosaur, including bones, soft tissue, and even feathers, has been found preserved in amber, according to a report published today in the journal Current Biology.
While individual dinosaur-era feathers have been found in amber, and evidence for feathered dinosaurs is captured in fossil impressions, this is the first time that scientists are able to clearly associate well-preserved feathers with a dinosaur, and in turn gain a better understanding of the evolution and structure of dinosaur feathers.

What is the most A E S T H E T I C animal and why is it the toucan?
don't be a retard, anon
>>2276055
lets see.
toucan represents an immediately identifiable stereotype for a tropical feeling. A place that isn't exactly tropical, like Miami Florida, would want to express the palm-tree-ness of a particular resort or hotel or something, and would use the image of a toucan for this end. 80s films and commercials (on VHS with CRT TV sets) appropriated the beach-babe-sunset-pink feel of the toucan for their own devices, and now your question has been answered, since all of those things are now considered "vaporwave", which is what you're referring to by A E S T H E T I C

This guy punched a kangaroo in the face because the roo had his dog in a chokehold.
Did he do anything wrong?
>>2274871
He didn't punch it again while he had the advantage. That thing was totally confused.

I can do this from memory:
>Needle nosed collies
>Brain hernia spaniels
>roach backed shepherds
>rage cockers
>cancer retrievers dead at age 7 and that's "normal" now
>dysplasiac labs
>hydrophobic poodles
>psychotic dalmatians
>breathless puggs

Is there any functional breed in the world the American Kennel Club is not bent on ruining?
"Here's my Best In Show contender, Unicorn Snowflake Von Cousin/Cousine Doily Lace Lily Wrist, her skillset includes standing still while getting groped, and not audibly hacking up loogies while I strut her back and forth with a death grip on her choke lead to keep her head up. We're champions in the dog world. My other dog is the Blue ribbon field trialer Barron Der Corset Waist Pinkie Drinker. He's racked up more style points than any dog in history, including the low-life ones who actually put birds in the bag."

Hey /an/. After 13 long years, I had to put my cat to sleep due to cancer. How do you guys deal with the lost of a companion?
>>2280348
>cat
>companion
Lol
>>2280348
It's never easy anon, and everyone grieves the loss of a pet in different ways.
But know this, right now you're sad and your heart aches. You miss your pet because you know you'll never again see the little things this animal has done to leave such a mark on your heart. You know your time together is over.
As time passes however, you'll still miss all the little things this animal has done to leave such a mark on your heart, only because you were thinking about one of these specific things.
With a little more time you'll think about one of these many things, but you won't feel as sad because now it's starting to become a fond memory instead of a feeling of loss.
Eventually you'll get to the point where you remember these little things, and happiness will be the emotion you produce instead of sadness, just be aware that it takes time. I hope this helps anon.
Also, don't be surprised if this thread gets hit by trolls fishing for reactions. It's so much easier to come up with a funny insult about a dead cat than all that shit I just typed.
Sorry for your loss.
>>2280348
Get a new cat. Maybe a kitten from an animal shelter.
Mourn not for those that were loved and lived a long and happy life, mourn those who were never loved at all and put down three weeks after being born.
Why does my dog single out certain dogs at the dog park? Theres a pool of about 100 or so dogs we've seen there, but four in particular he goes wild when he sees them. 3 of them he gets super excited and licks at them and rolls on back till they get annoyed and nip at him, to which he goes even more submissive, just snowballing the whole thing. The fourth he barks and lunges at, acting really aggressive. At least one of the four tend to be there when we are, and he will chase them from across the park even with 20 other dogs there. Every other dog and person he socializes with just fine? What is going on, and how do I correct it?
He is 5 months old. Other dogs are mix of ages and genders.
They might not be fixed, or your dog is on a power trip.
your dog should be socialized better with closer, more familiar dogs before going to the dog park
>>2280249
By this do you mean wait till a certain age? Hes been raised with his littermate sister and about 5 other dogs he spends calm 1 on 1 time with. He long of socialization is good before going to the park?
Post your dogs in the snow.
Mods, please permaban anyone posting from below 40°N or above 40°S
I tried to get her to play with a Frisbee but she's just scared of it. She's content with doing laps. At first she wouldn't poop because the snow was taller than her everywhere but then she learned to smash it down so she could poop without it touching her butthole.
