why do guys care so much about visiting a girls house if their parents dont allow guests?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.

That's like wanting something off limits. You want it even more.

They want to meet your parents.

If they already have, they probably want alone time with you and whatever that entails. Whether it be from deep talking to full on sex.

Let's talk numbers for a moment
We are rapidly approaching 53/47 split on female/male population
That means the out of 53 women 6 will never find a stable relationship wich sounds bad
But if we account for high expectations that means that out of the 47 men only 41 (im being generous) are dateable so it correlates with 6 less women getting into a relationship and either having kids or having kids who have fathers
So if we do the math it's 12/53 wich is 24/106 so it's not exactly one out of four women but it's close
So this being pretty much the state of the world then how does it make sense for women to be so unreasonable about picking a boyfriend or a husband? I see single women either 30 or approaching 30 all the time, is it really worth it to shoot for the stars when you have such a tiny chance of getting a great man let alone a man at all?
We shouldn't keep telling men to man up but women to settle

Solution: more lesbians.

Lesbians are less than 1% of the population so statistically lesbians are the least desirable partners

Hi /sci/

I graduated with an engineering degree from UWaterloo and I'm looking to go back to school to complete a Stats-based masters.

Being from engineering, my prob & stats repertoire is quite weak and I'm looking to improve my knowledge greatly before applying. My ultimate goal is to break into Machine Learning in order to switch my job from development/programming to data science. I also want to go over linear algebra and a little bit of calc (even though calc is my strongest math skill).

If anyone has experience in this field, what would be the best masters degree to pursue (in Canada, I'd like to stay here if possible).

I taught my nephew how to be alpha and now his mom is butthurt about it. He used to shy away from girls and get bullied so over the summer I got him lifting, showed him how to fight, play football, hunt, fish, play chess, and appreciate cars. Me and my own sons showed him how to treat girls (like shit) with exception of his mom.

Now she's calling me saying he's become very arrogant and has girls in and out the house all the time.

I honestly don't think it's bad, and it's not really my fault. What should I say?

Why is it so hard to make friends?

I'm going to college and I work in the evenings. I haven't met anyone I have anything common with in my classes or at work. I've looked at clubs at my college and none of them interest me, but I would still go just to meet people if I had any time. I'm in class or at work all day and whatever free time I have is mostly dedicated to schoolwork. I wish there was a Tinder for making friends.

It's been so long since I've had anyone I could call a friend. I'm so fucking lonely and depressed.

>>
If you're so desperate for friends, you can afford to spend an hour or two a week going to a club. Sports clubs are a good way to make friends, since it's clear those who are regulars at least have that much in common. Boxing was that for me in college.

If you can't find a club you're interested in, that might be why you can't find anyone with common interests.
>>
>>17557606
Like I said in my post, I would still go to these clubs even if I wasn't interested in them. I work in the evenings all week except for the weekends when clubs don't meet.
>>
>>17557621
What are you doing on weekends? If you have part time work, is it possible to schedule to work on a Saturday instead of a weeknight? Any details regarding your schedule would be helpful.

How do you make your peace with not being a high-test alpha?

Seriously. I really want to go back to the gym and become a stacked, alpha dog.

Unfortunately, it's hard to fit in with modern society / workplace culture as an alpha, testosteroned male. Everyone will say you're "sexist" / "misogynistic" etc.

So how do you make your peace with... essentially being pathetic?

>worried about fitting in society or the workplace

I have news for you OP, you were pathetic all along.
>>
There are so many things wrong with your post I don't even know where to begin.

Being stacked is not the same as being alpha.
Being alpha is not the same as being sexist.
NOT being alpha is not the same as being pathetic. Also, since they are different, not being stacked is not the same as being pathetic.
Stacked people are not automatically assumed to be sexist.

I'm a web dev but I want to become alpha

I suppose I could just apply for alpha jobs straight away, something like sales or whatever, but I don't think I would handle it very well, at least until I'm a bit more alpha, bit bigger, whatever

>Being stacked is not the same as being alpha.

Is my hair thinning? I'm only 18 and no one in my family, male or female is bald or balding. Only my grandpa has some receding, but he still has hair and most of it is still dark brown. I've had dry scalp for a while so I tried no poo, and my dry scalp is almost gone, but my hair seems thinner. I've always had fine hair, but not this thin. Please, I need to know how to thicken it or stop it from thinning.

It's unpredictable. This gene is supposedly inherited from the mother's side, but my mother's father didn't start to go bald nearly as early as I did. (My bald spot was really noticeable by the time I was 25 or so).
I honestly don't think there's anything you can do to counter it. Your hair is going to go when it goes.

Hello /adv/,

I need from anyone their perspectives, advice, and opinion of my situation.

I'm currently an E5 in the Navy. I like my job and am good at it but what I want advice on is whether I should stick with the benefits I have and how they compare to civilian careers.

>currently 22 years old
>make 53k a year before taxes
>free health / dental
>30 days paid leave every year
>great 401k plan
>opportunity to retire and receive a pension (at least 29k a year) at 38 years old after 20 years of service

The reason I ask is because I feel sort of tired of the BS the military has. I know every job has BS, but I sort of have an urge to be a civilian again. It's all really vague. To narrow down my question after considering everything I have, should I just suck up the things I don't like and stick it out for another 17 years until I retire?

>>17557480
Any specialization?
>>
>>17557491

Well, to add to that.

I'm planning on converting to be a paralegal. That itself would provide me with an associates in legal studies plus related civilian certs. Also the opportunity for a commission to become an officer, which means more money.

I should also add the educational benefits the military provides. So far I've taken 5 college classes and only paid $100 out of pocket. I'd expect to have a bachelors within the next 4 years with no cost to me.
>>
If it's just a minor annoyance stick with it. You'll find annoyances at your job no matter what you work and being able to retire at 38 is amazing, especially if you can find yourself another small-ish source of income.

If it's genuinely making it unhappy, if you can't stand it quit and look for something else.

Me and my girlfriend have been together for over a year and a half, recently she worked away for 4 months and the relationship has been distant since she got back. She has said that something feels different and needs space. She does still have feelings for me. I have managed to get her to meet me tomorrow to talk things over and see if we can work it out. What is the best way to go about things? So far I have been supportive (told her that her feelings are natural after a term of separation and not to worry about it.) How should I go about our meeting tomorrow. I am worried that I will break down, start acting clingy and not be able to listen to her properly because of this.

>>17557458
She's probably fucked other guys and will be breaking up with you and is just waiting for the opportune moment, which might be tomorrow's meeting. Any time I've had separation from a partner it followed the whole "distance makes the heart grow fonder" thing or however you say it. Basically they were overjoyed to be reunited.
>>
>told her that her feelings are natural after a term of separation

That's complete and utter bullshit. When partners see each other after a long absence they're usually overjoyed and stick to each other like magnets. It's like the honeymoon period all over again. Haven't you ever seen one of those videos where a marine comes home and surprises wife/girlfriend? That's the normal reaction not "I think we should take a break, despite the fact that we pretty much already took a 4M break".
>>
>>17557458

tell us more OP.

>have you guys ever broken up and got back together
>Were you dealing with her exes any point in the relationship
>How often did you talk to her that 4months you were apart.

>DID YOU LIVE TOGETHER BEFORE THE JOB?

Well OP just know women don't just fall out of love at the drop of a hat, so who knows how long she's been doubting the relationship, could of been 5 months, could of been a year. They build themselves up to make them leave.

I've been into S&M for a very long time. Some of my fantasies are extremely dark. Recently I've watched a horror movie and got aroused by a very violent, horrible scene.
