Anybody know of card games where our fighting over neutral objectives that might even be cards themselves? They could be planets or quests or locations, etc.

Eclipse Phase. It's a compelling firm Scifi setting that's very well thought out, and makes nazis buttpained.

I like Stars Without Number's standard/default setting.

Enough of a framework to be easy to work with, generic enough that you can use any themes you want to apply to it and the system itself gives the GM his own minigame he can play, but is completely optional, between sessions to help it feel like a living star cluster.

The fact that I'm a sucker for OSR style games also helps, probably.

Don't know much about Shadowrun, sadly, but I live in a small town in Nova Scotia. So I would be in the U.C.A.S. and about a hour drive or so away from a dragon lair. I don't like the sound of that.

Well the Dragons in Shadowrun have about human intelligence, but they're cunning, plotting, and very dangerous. One even got elected president. You'd probably be fine, very few people would fuck with a Dragon or their territory.

Keeping the social justice cancer from gaining its foothold there and letting the plane be its own thing without shoving in Elspeth's bullshit would've improved it quite a bit.
