Nikon really needs to fuck right off with their embarrassing body lineup and R&D.
Sigma and Tamron need to start to support E mounts.
Is that a Canon FD 50mm L adapted to Leica M then adapted to Sony FE?

Hey guys, I have a trial at a local nightclub to take photos for the night.
Having never done nightclub photography I was wondering:
1. What equipment will I need, or more specifically, do I NEED flash? as every flash unit seems ridiculously expensive
2. Any other tips and tricks, with flash or night club photography
i would probably bring a camera if i were u
>>3035055
r u sure
>>3035047
Well for starters you'll be in a night club. So you'll be surrounded by lowly degenerates with obnoxious personalities and you probably be high on ecstasy resulting in all of your photos being shit
I wanna do a series of portraits and utilize some catholic imagery. Too cliche?
I think kiddie porn is still illegal.
>>3033812
not necessarily cliche, but "catholic imagery" is a pretty broad area for a series. do you mean to emulate a particular period/style of imagery/posture as in OP? are you portraying different martyrs or biblical scenes? or do you just want to incorporate catholic symbols in your photos in some way?
>>3033825
Anon is right, what does Catholic aesthetics mean to you exactly?

The Hasselblad looks fantastic and I like the integrated viewfinder. The Fuji is getting better reviews though. Unsure which would be the better camera in terms of shooting experience.

I've got an x1d and it's really good in the hands- and constant firmware updates are getting the software up to scratch too. is 100x nicer to use than the GFX, with the big exception of the viewfinder, which isn't great.
>>3033879
They both have the same sensor, but the Fuji is much larger, is limited to 1/125 sync speed, has a basic bayer filter (no xtrans magic here).
Personally I'd stay well away until revision 2 for both, which will have a global electronic shutter. Unless you only intend to buy new, native lenses, in which case the blad makes much more sense.
>>3033879
>Fujifilm GFX 50S
2500 dollars cheaper
same sensor
so if a few features are worth 2500 dollars to you then go for it...
Witness this fucking grey-painted plastic cuckoldry.
Are they not ashamed?
Their company's fabled century-old heritage reduced to a fucking specially coloured gameboy and 3 pleb zooms.

I met Lok in new york recently. Nice guy. Had a super short chat.
I work for a Shot Blasting/Vapour Blasting workshop and am doing up the website, what really sells our services is a good before/after photo.
What would be really nice, is to have a system that is largely automatic, allowing us to take 360 photos of large sometimes heavy objects.
I have looked at some commercial turntables, but they seem to cost about £1300/$1600 which we just can't justify at the moment. Does anyone have experience with DIY turntable/lightbox combos, or have any ideas for a better solution.

Just set up a webcam and stick them up your ass for tips, you'll get a much better return on your investment being a tampon baby boy for rich old men.
Just buy a lazy susan and some white paper background, give the thing a good spin your heavy thing acts as a flywheel, and shoot 4k video. Out of your video pick the full rotation that is the smoothest. Buy Object2VR
>>3034713

So will that take a video rotation and split it into individual images?
So, wanna help a fellow photographer with some ideas?
A pretty nice contest was announced a couple of days ago, which is something that almost never happens in my small city (I live in Romania).
Thing is, though i have the technical knowledge to take good photos, I just can't find any ideas for a photo that fits in the theme of the contest, which is "Reality as a dream".
Do you guys have any ideas? I'd love to try them out.
I happen to live near the railway and there are a couple of abandoned trains there. I have a good idea around those but I need some clothes from the '60s and a beautiful model, both of which i can't find..

Just do some slow exposures of people moving around interesting spaces and convert to BW. Guaranteed winner irrespective of theme, and no models required.
If you don't like my idea why not use a plain model?
>>3034655
i really can't think of one single space interesting enough for this composition, but thanks for the idea, i'll think about it some more
Just shoot black silhouettes of couple doing shit with flare and huge bokeh.
