where/ how can we found kubeland/kubica/etc
should we:
a] buy an island
b] annex sealand (how hard can it be?)
c] create a fortress
>>34732016
Island is probably the best idea desu
The only problem is funds
>>34732180
indeed
we could see if a kickstarter works
but would anyone care about sealand if it was taken over? they don't seem to have allies of any sort
>buy island
>/k/tards arrive, celebrate for a while
>if they weren't smelly already, they start smelling after 20 minutes
>someone wants to take a shower
>realize there's no fresh water because private island
>meh whatever
>after shitposting in the official "we did it-thread" for another 20 minutes, batteries start dying
>realize there's no electricity because private island
>doritos run out
>realize there isn't a 7-11 on the corner because private island
It would never work.
Why are recon, sabotage, sniper teams and generally unconventional warfare so underused in wars?
just how hard is it for an SF team to sneak inside enemy lines and recce enemy FOBs so they can shoot officers? it would greatly hinder the enemy's ability
>>34732005
>Why are recon, sabotage, sniper teams and generally unconventional warfare so underused in wars?
What makes you think they are? And what wars are you speaking of? If you mean the middle east and syrian conflict; it's completely different from conventional wars between strong first world nations, and even then snipers and recon units are used a lot by all sides, though the term "recon unit" is used lightly.

There are several Australian Army units with this exact purpose

They are not.
How hard would it be for US military to stage a coup and take over the country?
>>34731971
They already run the country.
>>34731971
Currently? Near impossible. People would just bail first before committing possible treason.
What would it take? Shit to get really bad. Like 10 times worse than it is now. Then a charismatic military officer might be able to convince enough troops to do something.
not hard at all, I think the odds are even greater than in Turkey

i need some explanations:
from the image i posted i understand that each bullet "explodes" once it hit something. is it air expanding? does it work the same way on flesh (flesh exploding)? what is "stopping power"?
basically: what's the most damaging bullet?
(was reading a rekt thread on /b then curiosity arose)
Well what that picture does not show you is that a 9mm "slug" as it is called will tend to bounce around inside a person enough to cause a hell of a lot more damage than most other "slugs"
so while a .45acp might tear a bigger hole it is the internal damage that is really what matters, so a 45acp would probably do more intimidate damage so if they could save the person it would be easier but if their insides are all minced up with a 9mm "slug" they will most likely die

why is there a disparity in different countries training lengths?
US infantry 13 weeks?
French and german infantry 18 weeks?
UK infantry 26 Weeks?
USMC rifleman 20 weeks?
Uk marine 32 weeks?
US tanker 15 weeks?
UK tanker 36 Weeks?
Is there something i don't know?

What's the minimum speed needed for a pistol bullet to be effective? I think the old black powder pistols were only about 700 feet per second.

hello newfriend
Goodbye lads. I will never own a firearm so browsing this place just makes me sad.
The time and money that i need to invest to just obtain a license to own a firearm is too much. Not only that the firearm choice is really poor in my country and i would be stuck with expensive hunting rifles or 1000$ pistols.
On top of that the only nearby ranges are all closed and up to 100 meters. And what is the fun of being on the government watch list? Why even own a firearm when i cant use it in self defense? Can i even trust my government to not take away my guns when the next shitty law is passed?
>>34731654
Move faggot.
Oh and i need to do a 10 hour long gun safety training + have my "air weapon" registered which both cost a lot just so i can own a decent air rifle.
I am treated like a criminal if i wish to purchase an air rifle capable of taking down rabbits at 30yards.
Make sure you bin your spoons lad

Is it really that important to learn how to pie-corners and shit like that for a home defence situation, or is just knowing how to shoot good enough?
This is how a real man shoots his firearm

how does it feel to serve oil barons and crony capitalists?
Could Iraq have beaten back the Coalition forces if they were appropriately led? It seems most of Iraq's 1940-France-tier failure hinged on completely useless leadership. Their military was large and relatively well equipped, even if it wasn't the most modern toys.
I've heard that if the equipment was flipped, the Coalition attacking a modern Iraq using old Soviet surplus, the Coalition still would have kicked ass because "lol iraqis"
nope because it was impossible to get air dominance vs such an overwhelming force
there will not be the next vietnam till they invent actually good aa/sams that can shoot down any jet again
I wouldn't go as far as beaten the coalition back, but they definitely could've inflicted casualties. Iraqi C2 was absolutely atrocious and the strikes on command posts made everyone blind and stupid, which lead to mass panic and surrender as the tactical commanders were effectively castrated of their decision making ability by the way the Iraqi army command structure works.
>>34731199
No. Their air force was inferior and almost totally unable to engage BVR targets, so they could never achieve air superiority. They were out ranged, out numbered, and facing pilots with superior training and more flight hours.
On the ground, Iraqi tanks were so monkeyed it's a joke. Soviet T72As and T72Bs had composite armour similar in performance to western Chobham derivatives. T72Ms, the export model, were constructed from homogenous steel and had an inferior gun and FCS, though they looked very similar if not identical. They may as well have been replicas, and they were firing ammo from the 1960s, and some Iraqi made ammo (sometimes concrete).
And it was a conscript army of semi-illiterates who had had the initiative beaten out of them by decades of repression. And being Arabs with all the trappings of Arab armies, like the petty politicking, the stupid honour systems, the competing between officers instead of cooperating with a common goal.
Not just the leadership was awful, the quality of the whole Iraqi armed forces was crap.
How will /k/ cope? Will we hold funeral pyres?

medicine

Do medics call in cas vacs themselves or does a SNCO do it? I mean everyone should learn but who really does it?

Get your paramedic, if you get that then you have a chance to be a combat medic.
