Just talked myself out of trading for a 1911. I love them so, so much, but I can't justify to myself having more than one handgun right now, and the 1911 is just outshone in pretty much every department by newer guns.

Sometimes I feel sad, knowing that my favorite gun isn't the best gun, as much as I'd like it to be. I'm sure I'll pick up a really nice one as a range toy when I can better afford it, but for now... I just think wistfully back to the days when our glorious handgun was everything to everyone. I leave this for you, my friends, so that you can see some beautiful history.

i neex help guys. i have a job interview tomorrow at a popular sporting goods store. the position is the firearms desk obviously. now, my question is, do i talk to them professionally about firearms and hunting and safety and lame stuff like that? or should i sperg out and reveal my power level? like, immediatley start telling them there fudd guns are worthless and they need to stock pile only obscure eastern european weaponry?

Well boys, I graduated a couple months ago and I got a job offer. Came with a nice sign on bonus, as well as a relocation bonus. Only problem is that I have to go to Detroit.
I've been to Michigan before and I loved it, but I haven't been to Detroit yet. That being said, I did spend the first 11 years of my life living in New Orleans so I am sort of used to the constant cultural enrichment gifted to us by our black community members.

Since I am a yuppie faggot, I got a 12 month lease on an edgy loft in a building that a coworker said is really nice, but the google earth of the surrounding area looks like shit. Good thing I got my gats.

Any fellow /k/ommandos in Detroit? If so, do you recommend any good places to shoot? Places to avoid? Any gun stores in the area that have decent selections?

I like my latest AR build but imho it could really use some wood.

I have lots of scraps of wood laying about let's see what we can do here. Here is a piece of walnut. It looks lighter than what you might think to be walnut, but that's only because there's no finish.
