Could mechs have a place in futurist wars or it's just fantasy without any substantial point? Sorry for the pic chosen, I wanted to capture the idea.

There's probably no place for them, maybe some specific circumstances, maybe.
Tires and tracks have way too many advantages for nearly any situation. One major thing is that tires/tracks are FAR less complex and going to have far less fragile failure points under fire.
>>34726554
Probably not.
I'm new to guns, so I don't know TOO much about them, but I have a big question that's been bothering me.
What's the difference between a Sniper Rifle and a Hunting Rifle? I know a lot of people say
>"well a sniper rifle is one used by a trained sniper"
True to SOME extent, but...well, if that's the case, how come sniper rifles look nothing like Hunting Rifles?
In my opinion it looks like there is definitely a difference in construction/materials/specifications.
For instance, why wouldn't a high quality Sako Hunting rifle, which come free floated and have 5 round detachable mags, smooth bolts, and amazing barrels and sub MOA accuracy, be able to be used as a sniper rifle?
I'm not saying it can or can't, just wanted to hear what more experienced people thought. From what it seems to me, a quality hunting rifle could easily double as a tactical/sniper rifle.
Sorry for the semi related /v/ cringe pic
A sniper rifle is a rifle used by a sniper.
A hunting rifle can be a sniper rifle.
>>34721116
How come they're never made of wood?
A hunting rifle can be anything from a singleshot .22 short to a muzzleloader to an AR-15 or .300WSM semi auto. Anything used to hunt game.
A sniper rifle is a rifle used for hunting people, basically. The earliest example I can think of would be a Kentucky long rifle used during the revolutionary war.

Does anybody know where I can get my hands on a 4.5mm folding plum stock, or if there is any paint or dye that I can apply to a black stock to make it look like a plum one?

Anyone have any ideas? I don't have it with me so I can't take more pictures, my grandfather collected a lot of similar things, generally they have something to do with the Navy. Is it for signalling or something? There doesn't appear to be sights of any kind, and it isn't rifled.

As the FPBP said. Berets if you had to choose one.
Beret no doubt
Two days ago I came back home from the military with a nice Sig 550 given by my government.
But it has wear marks in certain spots where the painting is gone. What can I apply on these spots to durably protect my rifle from rust except the military gun fat (I already do that) ? Because I'll have to return on duty in the coming years so the rifle will not stay quietly at home.

>wanting to reverse your hard earned wear marks.
Im honestly jealous that you get issued a rifle that has some genuine wear marks on it. Ill most likely never get to carry my AR enough to put wear marks like a military service rifle has on them. The slight purple tinge that the anodizing takes on once its worn through quite a bit is the most aesthetic thing ever.
I know my answer doesnt help you but my advice would be to just enjoy and savor the honest wear marks on your rifle.
Anyone monitoring what is going down in Venezuela? News says it is a military coup of some sort ongoing. Can someone explain whats the situation?

1. Can afford.
2. Helps complete collection
3. Old man wants a HD rifle that he can more or less spray and pray with using a mounted laser. Likes the ability to open doors, use lights/phone, etc without lowering weapon.
Buying next week one of these two so input would be appreciated.

i never got the "donating to someone makes you a cuck" meme. i've never even done it because I'm just a very frugal jew but if you know exactly who you're donating to and what perks you get I don't see how it makes you dumb or a cuck. preorder a video game for $100 a year ahead of release? that's pretty foolish because you don't even know what you're getting, but I don't get the hate for people donating to youtubers no matter how shitty their 'reward' is, it's their money

No muzzle brake or flash hider, and with the handguard only going out so far. I see these everywhere, why are they a thing?
Why do you care so much what others do with their rifles?
>>34773365
>Why do you care so much what others do with their rifles?
I wanna know if there's something I'm missing, like some sort of advantage to making rifles like this or if it's a product of regulations or something.
Colt Accurized rifles.
>No muzzle brake or flash hider
At 20" or more, flash will be negligible since most of the powder has been burned. Its unnecessary.
>with the handguard only going out so far.
To the gas block, which is as far as it needs to go.
>I see these everywhere, why are they a thing?
Probably to minimize unnecessary/politically divisive features. This was during the height of the AWB, bear in mind.
