So Glocks explode, SIGs aren't drop safe, AK's choke on a little bit of mud, AR's are maintenance hogs, M1As have shitty cast receivers, FALs go tits up when hit with some sand, Remington shotguns have shitty quality control, Taurus is flaming garbage...

Are any guns safe? How long until the next firearm is proven to be a worthless shitpile?

What does /k/ think about AR-15s in alternate calibers(5.45x39, 7.62x39)? How's the reliability?

I don't know why anyone would use 5.45 in an AR when .224 OTM bullets exist and tumble just as well. All the 7.62 uppers seem to be shit. Honestly if it doesn't use the same bolt carrier as a standard AR it's a huge pain in the ass in terms of reliability and then it just becomes a toy.

Because it's a big failure on the part of a major corporation that's supposed to be bringing top notch products to the table. Combine that with the fact that they also just won a CONTROVERSIAL contract that involved their product not undergoing complete evaluation and testing, and you're bound to get a response.

drop safe pistols have been a standard for decades

nowadays the only pistols lacking drop safeties are either old or competition guns

I thought everything it pretty average. Definitely not a film I'd watch twice.

>>
>>34802591
You see that half the French cowards were black?

>>34802598
I have to disagree.
Nothing about it was average, for better or worse.
Average means like most other movies.
There is no other movie like this.
This is just 90 minutes of climax of another movie.

The sounds were amazing, but so were the visuals. Like, how can you talk shit about anything about the Bane in Plane scenes?

Can we share AR experiences in these threads as well?
>go to Marine bootcamp
>finally the day we get issued our M16A4 service rifle
>step up to the window at the armory
>Lance Corporal hands me a rifle
>"heh, I'd prefer something with more stopping power, but hey if this is what Uncle Sam wants the boys using, I guess I can deal with it."
>few weeks later we're at the range
>recommend to the Range Instructor that they put better attachments on these things
>chat it up for a minute, talking about how much you could increase aim stability with a foregrip and a comp
>he says he'll be back in a minute
>comes back with a box of parts
>"we really only let the SOCOM guys use these, but you're pretty good. So I'll let you put some of this on your rifle."
>put an AFG, IR sniper scope, and a silencer on my rifle
>score perfect on my shooting qual
needless to say, I was guide and honor graduate and went to Special Ops training right after that. Told them I didn't even want my 10 days of leave, I couldn't look at my family the same way..

Pretty sure this is bait but which branch gives you the most freedom in choosing your loadout? I figure it's Marines because they're better trained but I'm not sure. And also how much freedom do they give you exactly? I know you'll never get to do anything like put a "silencer" on your rifle or anything crazy like that but if I didn't like the stock/handguard/optic they gave me could I request something else or order it myself? Seems retarded to have to lug around a heavy uncomfortable quadrail for example when you could just get something that's superior in every way.

Wow, you are seriously still reminiscing about bootcamp?

>then he picks it up while in the phone and leans on it and slaps it around
>mother fucker is acting like it’s his wife
>after 10 minutes of him on the phone calling them a fucker and an asshole he puts it down
>he doesn’t put it down he’s throws the bitch on the rack
>sigh cause he’s a fucking dumbass
>go look at a budget AR-15 now
>Hear the familiar noise
>some asshole in a marines shirt popped the takedown pin and took the bolt out while trying to impress his friends

> he can’t put it back together
>he’s putting the bolt in the wrong way.
>no bullshit he has the locking lugs coming or the back
> he pulls the locking lugs and the tried to close it but it won’t close
>he slams the lugs down and tries to close the rifle

I am a master gunsmith and a vetted Tier 1 armorer for nearly every branch in the Army.
This is a common problem with 1911's.
100 year old designs can't handle modern ammo (even getting stored with it)
Can g into more detail if you want.

But don't worry about the accidental discharge, it happens to everyone at some point and is a part of gun ownership
>>
>>34800447
Yeah thats pretty common

Hawk and typhoon, although typhoon components are made around Europe.

They also make large sections of every F35.

BAE are probably the world's leading aircraft manufacturer after Lockheed Martin

After studying Germany in WW2 for some time I have come to some conclusions.

1. Germany during WW2 is massively overrated, in actual fact, they were quite technologically undeveloped, their tactics were outdated, and by halfway through the war, they were extremely lacking in industrial might.

2. Germany during ww2 is underrated because they are overrated. Because they're overrated as superpower with advanced technology and equal might, it downplays the fact that they actually did exceedingly well and held on for a long time despite their completely inferior logistics, supplies, industry, and strategy.

In a sense, they were a third rate power who punched well above their weight and held on for a long time, but allied victory was inevitable, not the prevailing view that they were a 1st rate power who lost simply due to inferior numbers and bombing. D-Day is when this was most clearly exposed

I'm not saying you're wrong, but did anyone have 'good' tactics in WW2 if not the Germans?
