"Minor" upgrade edition.
So you're the senior tank architect in charge of updating your current countries tank stock. No financial limit.
What do /k/?
Can't find the pic but Israel is said to be developing a medium tracked vehicle with an autoloader (the turret in pic) and 2 crew.
35 tons, integrated APS, and its called the carmel tank, or something.

Embezel infinite money and don't stop til I get to infinity.
>>34806856
So far the Israeli MoD only released the concept art for the project. Looks a bit silly to be honest
say what you want about the jews they sure can upgrade tanks
>>34806708
Replace all that copper wiring with Optical fibre
Lengthen Penetrator By 100mm
Retrofit gearbox To up the governed torque
Retrofit 1500Hp engine to 1600HP in increase govern
> basically the programme that they're doing right now.
>>34807049
is that a chally 2?
t. a bong
>>34807265
Yeh with streetfighter 2 kit
>>34806957
They sure do love their machine guns
>>34806942
Not even a concept art, just a "tech characterization demo". Basically means that they're planing future/not-there-yet tech, and this photos are to show tech that it's gonna hold, not planned looks and design.
>>34806957
Needs more dakka.
>>34807049
>basically the programme that they're doing right now.
Except not.
>>34808106
CLEP intends to shave 10Tonnes of the tank through newer technology.
Its amazing just how much hardened copper wiring weighs
>>34806942
Looks like the HISS tank Cobra used in GI Joe
>>34808132
You might want to stick to real things being proposed.

Rheinmetall:
2-axis stabilized sensor head with 3rd gen thermal sights
high resolution cameras with 360° coverage
a new rangefinder
a new fire control system
a new battlefield management system with C4I capability
a new laser warning system
BAE:
New thermal imaging systems
New commander sight with 360°
New gun control system.
New electronic architecture
New fire control system
BAE has pretty much won, they've managed to reduce weight rather thank add it, Do most of the work in the UK, OEM it and do it for cheaper.
Rheinmetall Keeps banging on about the 55 smoothbore but provides no advantages over the L30A1E4 other than marginally better ammo, and barely managed to dodge being blacklisted following the original 8x8 trialls
>>34806957
Sends little Mahkmout out with rocks to fight Zionist tank. Mahkmout scores direct hit, reactive armor goes off. Little Mahkmout now a martyr.
whats this i hear about a new gun on the Leclerc?
>>34808403
>barely managed to dodge being blacklisted following the original 8x8 trialls
Lets not forget the CLIP
I love the fuck that they fucked up so Bad the MoD goes to any lengths to avoid using them again.
They only avoided being blacklisted as the MOD was halfway through the delivery of 8000 MAN Trucks.
Piranha won out last time didn't it?
>>34808438
Thats the problem with a Hard kill APS, when i was a kid we used to throw rocks in front of speed cameras to set them off when nobody was there, rumour is you can can do with CIWS, CRAM and some Hard APS systems

140mm "terminator gun" looks a beast

>140mm "terminator gun" looks a beast
Old news, wasn't taken up.
>>34808517
>>34808578
>>34808597
Its actually an older gun used in the first prototype (T4) but never went through, really they just bought the turret out of storage and went "look at siz!"
>>34808597
Only came back out in may... Hasn't even finished evaluation..
>>34808597
>Only came back out in may... Hasn't even finished evaluation..
The article even states it's just an old demonstrator, not even a prototype, that was never taken up or into serious consideration.
It's fucking clickbait m8, rehashing an old thing as though it's new to draw people in. Ya got baited.
>>34808656
If you look closely at the turret you will notice some distinct differences between the terminator and T4
Pic related naked leclerc prototype

My country has no tanks. But I would come up with some genius idea how to "upgrade" our fleet of PzH 2000 and M113 to get some monies into my own pocket :)
>>34808796
Netherlands?
Why you do this?

I got inside an al-hussein and Falcon.
Some good ideas in there.
But there are limitations in doctrine when i spoke to the jordanians that used them
Falcon was only decent in defensive and fire support, but freed up Al-husseins to flank
>>34808757
Thats what I mean.
They showed it off.
But there's absolutely no news on it ever being a thing. The program died decades ago. The French have no plans to ever use it, are not planning to use it, and have already put a program in place to not use it.
Never undestrood why they would use Hellfires. Seems a bit over kill.
>>34808942
>fiber optic wiring
>new FCS
>best sights and optics
>Turret armor like the A7(raise the gunners' sight to the roof)
>Additional armor on the hull, with cage armor on the back(Like the Leopard 2SG)
>Newest and best ammo for the L44
>electric turret drive
>Hard and soft kill APS
>new gearbox
and that's it, I think.
>>34809106
Why not upgrade to the L55? provides 60mm extra pen.
>>34809147
it is almost 1,5 meters longer, and a bit heavier. The longer barrell makes it more difficult to maneuver in the forest
>>34806708
Start a lead development program for a replacement, sell half the current inventory (they're all in storage and not going to be used for decades if ever).
Look into acquiring some kind of modular APS, maybe hold a competition to buy one off the shelf.
Otherwise, keep abreast of new ammo developments and give the money to the Navy who actually need it.
Actually it turns out there's a soft kill aps in the works at the moment.
So basically nothing.
>>34809331
>Look into acquiring some kind of modular APS, maybe hold a competition to buy one off the shelf.
MEDUSA (based of MUSS) is currently undergoing trials on CR2 under a separate program
>>34808403
>BAE has pretty much won
This explains why you think BAE made the tank 10 tons lighter.
>>34808631
>C'est grande! Oo lala c'est grande
>>34807315
>They sure do love their machine guns
What kikes actually love is money. .50 cal on top of main gun was originally to work as simulator for main gun, reduced load .50 can be loaded to be match of 105mm when it comes to ballistics. Handloaded .50 might be expensive for small arms munitions, but when compared to 105mm it is cheap as fuck. In addition to being training aid, that .50 MG has it's other uses.
>>34809508
They did.
RM is not liked by the MoD for repeated failed contracts, failed QC, corruption and bribery. They only ever won one contract and thats when the MoD were forced to use them for MAN trucks
BAE on the other hand and its partners General Dynamics UK, Qinetiq, were subcontractors on the origional contract, and win most of the MoDs contracts
M830A1 is 80mm.
>>34806708
>No financial limit
Create a tank with "avionics" and sensors on par with fighter aircraft so that only one person is enough to control it. With only one crew, we can shrink the tank to a sedan sized vehicle with half the weight. That means we can airdrop it and park it in home garages.
>>34806792
>if a leopard2a7-husbandu and a m60-waifu would have a child
>>34812851
>M60 is the waifu
Do you know how big that thing is?
>>34808578
> rumour is you can can do with CIWS, CRAM and some Hard APS systems
It's 2017, there is ample computing power to distinguish between a real threat and a rock
>>34806708
Be the US
Buy the fucking Namer already.
Retrofit American powered PAC.
Add 4 remote turrets, each must mount a Javelin.
Go into cities full of insurgents with RPGs and just wreck shit.
>>34808850
>Killdozer Mk. 2
I invest the limitless amount of cash I have into paying off all the world's governments to never go to war again.
Problem solved
I'd start by buying one
