I want one of these
>>34799518
okay. then buy one.
mods
get the more useless one, its cuter
Currently looking into buying a new gun. Stuck between an AR and AK. Looking for pros and cons of each.
>>34799482
AK
>pros
piston-driven
7.62x39mm is cheap when you can find cheap ammo
wood furniture is pretty good
parts are cheap most of the time
>cons
less customizability
7.62x39 has worse ballistic patterns
AR
>pros
can be had for cheaper than an AK sometimes
good customizability
5.56 shoots much flatter than 7.62 and is smaller and lighter
Direct gas impingement is a good action too, and piston ARs do exist
>cons
the cheaper models tend to have shoddier QC
5.56 is a little more expensive
quality parts are more expensive
>>34799482
Don't know anything about AR but if you go for AK avoid American made (Century-made, IO, etc...) at all costs. If you're a poorfag WASR is best bet and NPAP is fine if you don't mind proprietary furniture.
>>34799482
I think the 7.62x39 is a lot better out of a short barrel like the variant you have pictured.
That's really their only advantage.
I picked this up at a Habitat for humanity a few years back. Friend of mine says it's Air Force. Can someone identify it for me?
>>34799388
that patch on the left sleeve identifies it as Army Air Force
>>34799388
>Habitat for humanity
they have a store?
>>34799406
Cool, what era?
is ian from forgotten weapons a asshole or a cool guy?
>>34799324
I saw Ian McCollum at a gun store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Lugers in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the guns and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each gun and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Post your AR as you bought it
Why don't you use .45? Too big for you?
>>34798627
https://youtu.be/3PAHu-5-aUM
because it's only a handgun round.
Physics.
>>34798627
Personally because I conceal carry and tend to go for smaller guns.
That being said, I'm a big guy and I can barely feel the difference between 9mm and .45, when it comes to .357 mags I'll feel the difference.
Especially Federals for some reason. Shits loaded HOT
Why was its development so fucked that we ended up with the Bradley we did?
One capable of BTFOing soviet armor?
We just don't know.

>lol doesn't count because it was Arabs
You got 1 minute to explain why you don't own the best value in small/mid-sized pistols available on the market today
>CZ, from the Bohemian gun making tradition
>simple and reliable straight blowback operation
>fixed barrel improve accuracy
>polygonal rifling improves velocity and accuracy, and is untraceable by forensics
>medium size suitable for CC (especially with aftermarket thin grips)
>12 round capacity is enough for HD and more than enough for CC
>ambidextrous safety and mag releases for the sinister among us
>C&R eligible
so, why don't you own one?
I live in bongland

I'm sorry for your loss

Its trash for poorfags.
So now that SIG is confirmed for trash along with Glock, CZ and FN, why haven't you accepted HK as your one and true savior?
>>34798423
How well does that comp work? Thing is huge.
>>34798466
It's a weight.

What is the best material to make a sword from?
I think it's diamonds because they're hard.
Diamonds are formed from pressure.
You need something that can handle pressure for a good sword.
steel you numbnuts
This is a good thread, you should be proud of yourself OP.

Pretty hot desu
I want one of these so bad. What do you have for a holster? That's the biggest turn-off for me, lack of options.
Why did a slide become a standard on handguns? Luger and Mauser don't have a slide. I am not an expert on this, but looking at the results of the trials that 1911 won back then in 1900s, does it have something to do with reliability?
Easier to have one big moving part that a lot of little ones
Browning's recoil-operation was simpler and worked better than the other attempts at making a semiauto handgun, so it stuck.
>>34798065
Bumping with Theodore Roosevelt's own FN 1900, first production pistol with a slide.
