ITT: we compare the most popular full size 9mm pistols on the market. Here are the rules
>must be chambered in 9mm
>must be a semi-auto pistol
>still in production today
>main purpose is not competition
>full size
>can be either striker fired or hammer
>polymer or metal
I will post a list of 9mm pistols at the end of this thread and if I forgot one, refer to these rules.
Now the main part, the review. You must follow the following template in order to keep it standardized. You will give a score ranging from * (absolutely horrible the worst) to ***** ( the best, amazing). You can add a few key words to complement you review but keep it short (ex: Reliability *** Some failures to feed, not cheap ammo friendly). If you have many pistols, rank it from best to worst. Here is the template:
Pistol name
>Reliability
>Durability
>Quality (QC, fitting, finish...)
>Trigger
>Ergonomics (try to be objective)
>Accessories
>Magazine quality/durability
>Notable feature (you can add 2 sentences)
Because we are reviewing the general quality of the pistol, price is not a factor unless it's really noteworthy, add it in >Notable features
Here's the initial list

Sig 226

HK VP9
HK P30

I've got a P30. It's cool. Also, I didn't read any of that shit.
bump. I hope this thread ends up being interesting and not a shitshow

You failed before you started.
With all the talk of multinational strike groups, I have to ask:
How well do other nations typically integrate into the battle plan and information sharing of a CSG?
For example, if a USN DDG-51 type ship joins a RN formation, is it going to be relatively modular in that it's capabilities are just blended into the group, or will it be the odd man out so to speak? Do the big three in NATO (US, UK, France) have good CEC with one another?
>>34795940
Bump for interest. I'd assume they're pretty good at integration considering they don't join exercises all the damn time. For example Japan is a huge part of America's ASW force in the Pacific.
>>34795940
What the devil is a Reuben James?
>>34795960
Learn some history faggot.
I was wanting to know if I should get a sw 22 victory or a browning buckmark as my first 22 target pistol and if so what model? I was also wondering if their are any old target pistols I could get a good deal on at my local pawn shop.
>>34795685
do internet search for
22 target pistols
>>34795685
SW 22 is hella ugly man
Go for a Buck Mark or have a look at the new Ruger MK4
>>34795685
Get a Ruger Target 22 of any flavor, it'll do you well. If you feel like hunting down some pretty antiques, look at Colt Woodsmen and some of the knockoffs of that design.
Why are competent terrorists such a unicorn /k/?
Pic related, a fucking unicorn
All it takes for someone to pull off a terrorist attack and get away with it is basic weapons knowledge, knowledge to make simple bombs and a basic knowledge of criminology, and guess what, all this knowledge happens to be on the internet and easily acquirable
Needless to say that the law enforcement and intelligence system is incompetent, Mcveigh would've made it out if he didn't get randomly pulled over by a cop, if he did more preparation and didn't act retarded he wouldn't have been caught.
>>34795561
most crime isn't done by intelligent people because most crimes have costs that outweigh the benefits
as a result the people who do most of the crimes don't do them well.
>>34795561
>A competent Patriot
Fixed that for you.
Because guns make everyone equal, dumbass whitie can compete with god tier Allah Akbarian IED usage.
Get rid of guns and you will see the French clinch it all again.
lets all agree this gun looks fucking awesome
>>34795424
what the heck is this combo of M1 carbine and MP40?
This thread is about WW2 Hungarian aesthetics.
Or at least, now it is.
hey /k/ i think this is my first time posting on this board so sorry if im missing some sort of /k/ guide but..
ive been going to a local gun range recently and am wanting to purchase a gun for home defense. was thinking a shotgun of some sort was the best bet considering i live in a 1k square foot, 1 floor house with only a few rooms.
are there any recommended guns you would recommend to me, or would i be better off with a pistol for my intended purposes?
thanks in advance for any info
>>34795372
Welcome to /k/. If you have no intention of carrying a firearm outside of your home, I'd recommend an AR15 chambered in 5.56. A rifle is much easier to use than either a pistol or a shotgun, and is much more lethal to a would-be attacker than a handgun. Make sure that you get a weapon light for whatever gun that you choose.
>>34795372
Welcome
First thing you gotta know
I'm the boss of this gym
>>34795399
i appreciate your input and i will definitely look into that. i dont intend to leave my house with it, save for going to a range. i dont have to go through any crazy regulations to obtain one correct? my state (nc) allows you to buy shotguns from places like walmart if you wish
also are there larger chains or franchises i suppose that are better to buy from? save for pawn shops (which im not to keen on getting a gun from seeing as how i currently have little knowledge on how to judge its condition) i believe places like bass pro shop are probably the largest shops near me that sell firearms
>>34795409
why dont you take off that jabroni outfit?
>two 5th gen planes in the same decade
If China can do this, how come no one in Europe can? And if the F22 is so good, how come Americans are no longer producing them?
Shitty b8
>>34795096
Why would you produce a stopgap for an extended period of time?
>And if the F22 is so good, how come Americans are no longer producing them?
why would you buy a ptrs-41 when all your targets are squirrels? sure it's fun the first few times, but after a while it gets boring and expensive
Who else keeps track of how much they've shot various guns?
>>34795081
No. And what's with the retarded oddball numbers?
>31
>151
>5 in trooper
>77
Do you just pick ammo up off of the ground at the range and shoot it or something?
Why are all your numbers so low? Don't you ever go shooting?
>>34795084
>what is shooting with other people
I will admit that the 1 in 151 is from a rusty cartridge i found half buried in the dirt
>5 in trooper
The guy loaded it -1 bc muh safety even though we were just at the range
>77
10 rd mags, one only had 5, and the last was 2 rds of gold dots
R8 my service rifle /K/
m8/10
About the best you can hope for if you're dead set on a domestically produced rifle, considering you aggressively killed your local arms industry. Not much to be said about the rifle itself, basically a bodykit for the steyr that adds a free float barrel and low pro toprail.
>censoring the serial number
what's someone gonna do, report the government's own rifles as stolen to the government?
What is /k/s opinion on gloves at the range or while shooting?
My P226 LDC has quite a small triggerguard, and for work I use gloves like pic related. Do you suggest tactical gloves, and which one are the best?
Thx

I use these. They're alright, I wouldn't use them for anything serious though.
Seems like most of the tacticool gloves nowadays are just recolored shitty motorcycle gloves.
I wanna get some of those PIG gloves, they look britty neat.

cheers anon
You're trying to take out a guy defending a house with one of these bad boys.
What do you bring, what do?
Keep in mind this is a 200w portable laser as shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzUoe-9bKa0

A Davy Crockett and mustard gas.
>>34794583
Hard mode, you can only bring a pistol of your choice and as many mags as you want to carry, it's night time. He knows you're coming.
>>34794571

Kek
Assuming restricted to what I can carry. I'll use the trusty Carl Gustav 84mm recoilless rifle, fire some HEDP at his ass.
Together they've never been defeated. Are they truly the greatest alliance?
Because they mostly fight shitty brown races
>>34794520
Like germany?
>Together they've never been defeated.
That would be true if the Americans fought like we did in Vietnam

Dick said in the HBO interview he wasnt a bad man he just got a lot of shit most of it was made up by dicknhimself and othwr
I am thinking dick was a real dick and was gas lighting sobel so he got fucked up I kind of feel sad for him that whole show was just one mans perspective of what happened and Hollywood lies so we don't know what really happened all that show did I was ruin that mans name there were others who complained as well like that Lt from the charge they made him look like an incompetent man in reality he was shot and a war hero
Also don't forget sobel got a rank higher then dick in the end
