Looks weird. Why is his face so bright and greasy?

Neat idea for a thread though. Maybe try posting some good photos of nice statues so people can work from the same one.

Why is it so much easier to browse the Internet, rather than draw, or do any other productive hobby?

You're putting off your long term reward (Being great at drawing and having the ability to communicate your thoughts onto media) for the short term reward of putting off the pain of how bad/hard *you think* the task is gonna be.

You need to either just start, or make some pre-decisions to help you flow over all this

The answer to your question is "Why?" which is kind of a rabbinic answer but bear with me for a minute.

Why are you browsing internet right now?
If you answer sincerely this question... and no, "I'm browsing /ic/ to finally find THAT book above all other books and become gud fast" isn't a sincere answer... if you answer sincerely, you can easily see if you're wasting your time or if it just happens that right now you're too tired to do the things you should better be doing right now.

You're cheating the man in the glass, Anon.

There is no save point though. It's just a one run game in which I managed to miss all the secret loot and can't go back because it's blocked off. So now I have to somehow find the new secret loot.

>or how to get the most range in your work

The three main "styles" are

1.Abstract
-In which intention is clear, but the end result suggests an idea without fully replicating that which is found in reality.
-More about feeling, the anime eye in particular captures a feeling of "moe". Rarely is an anime artist not a fan of anime, he communicates this abstract feeling in the art.

2.Realism
-in which intention is clear, and the end result is replication of reality.
-Talented youngsters are often declared as such if they are able to draw realistically, whereas abstraction tends to come at a more mature age.

3.Symbol
-in which intention is unclear, and the end result is a cliche, however simple! If I were to ask you to compose a music piece, you would go for something simple and to the point, rather than something complex and nuanced like a musician. People who can't draw often draw like this.
-Artists who cant finish pieces could learn from this, simplicity, and those who cannot draw, can offer advice to you no matter how good you are (the outsiders perspective)

CENTER

4. In Zen Buddhism, an ensō (円相 , "circle"?) is a circle that is hand-drawn in one or two uninhibited brushstrokes to express a moment when the mind is free to let the body create.

The ensō symbolizes absolute enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe, and mu (the void). It is characterised by a minimalism born of Japanese aesthetics.

Fart - F = art
>>
>>2922411

The truth way to approach art, to seek the internal relationship between both phenomenon. In truth, there's no different between each, but the different set of languages we have to understand them.

Maybe, on a deeper level, they both hold the same truth of the place we exist in.
>>
being knowledgeable about math is helpful in art the same way being knowledgeable about the structure of the human anatomy is. in that it is helpful but not necessary, and being knowledgeable about those things in an academic sense doesn't mean you'll have an easier time making art.

It's almost the same as Photoshop, you can even use the same shortcuts. The only thing different is the brush engine and the layer system.

I have basically no other choice (Linux fag), it's a good software, I'd only wish it was lighter.

If you are 89 IQ idiot with no taste or imagination, but who is willing to work like a mule and has good hand-to-eye coordination.

Porn is vulgar and there's no mystery or narrative there. You don't have to think, only reference doujinshi and porn films. Really, you can even get away with pausing HD porn videos and redrawing stills from them with some small changes, like instead of negress doing male actor in cowgirl style you get the orc female warrior (add tusks from lips, change color of the skin) fucking with human paladin, slap some warcraft item here and there and you have your own super cool porn piece.

Well I suppose there's a difference between cancerous fetish DA porn and I guess hentai (being the best example for ""normal"" porn cartoons there is)
With DA autism you can draw anything that resembles tits and an iconic cartoon character and you've already got the job done. If you haven't seen Mister Metokur's video series on the subject matter then you can either escape the 10 minutes of hell or strive to learn about the shit that exists in these communities. For example there's that inflation porn, which literally consists of drawing circles with heads, people make abaslute dolla off of this garbage. It's maddening.
So my answer is I suppose that you don't need skill for fetish porn, you need a tiny ounce of skill to draw people fucking, or you don't draw porn at all and just focus on life drawing which is better because it's not mindless and degrading.

Okay so I wanted to know if anyone here can replicate China IL's art style for a request for 50$? It's a fairly simple art style and I presume it's made in Adobe Flash as hinted in the behind the scenes video. I'll come clean and say I want a double sided weeb pillow drawn of a character in the show which i'll provide refs for. If this kind of thread doesn't belong here then it'd be nice if you redirect me where it does because i'm new to /ic/, i've read the rules and it only said that requests were not to be asked for free. I only know there are actually decent artists on here.

>Double sided weeb pillow
Actualy interested in getting myself a few custom pillows... where would you get them from?

/ic/ talks about how you can get good in a year or 2 if you draw 16 hours a day. Yet, i've never actually encountered any examples of this. Most good artists I've seen have been drawing their whole lives. Post progress of artists who have gotten good in 1-5 years!

Are you the guy from the other thread who kept denying that anyone could improve in a short anount of time?
Most artists who "draw for their whole lives" are not practicing and improving every day, just drawing random shit. Some 6 year olds have been "drawing for their whole lives"
