>there are people on /g/ RIGHT NOW who don't choose a product based on its technical performance but rather whether or not it has done something vaguely SJW-ish in the past
Given the fact companies that dive in SJWism generally end fucking with the product's performance, you can say it's a predictive measure.
Name a good product that is overtly SJW-ish

Windows phones are at a great price lately and I'm thinking I should get a new one. Sure they might be a little buggy, but the next version will be teh awesome!
>botnet
>teh awesome
>might be a little buggy
>microsoft
>great price
>next version
it's on life support, it's shit and buggy, it's owned by microsoft, a prism company that collects and sells your data, and you can get a better phone on the used market or a new one for the same price that fucks it up. saged
Shut up pajeet
I got memed into buying into the WP8 market
Thankfully I paid the minimum for a Lumia 520
While I'd give my kidney for Windows Phone done properly (8.1 is still the best mobile OS I've ever used), it's just not gonna happen.

Whats the price shill? The 950 makes a great dumb phone with a awesome camera with raw capabilities.

Did some cleaning and found my old Dell D820. It has a T7200, 4gb ram and a 1680x1050 screen. Built like a tank. Surprisingly comfy after all these years.
Decided to clean the fan and put some new thermal paste as it ran pretty hot.
The hdd is slow as balls though and considered replacing it with an SSD? Are there any compatibility issues I'm not aware of?
>>61866154
>dumping money in to an ancient laptop
>>61866154
As long as it's at least SATA 2 it's worth dumping an SSD in it. More RAM would be nice as well.
>>61866219
>Buying a SATA SSD you can use in any current system is dumping money in to an ancient laptop.

Can programming books be skimmed as a beginner?
As in read more books faster > read fewer books slower?
Depends
Probably not
Maybe
You'll most likely want to test out the stuff in the book as you read through it, to help you grasp the different programing concepts
>>61865871
Unless you're already well acquainted with some basics of how computers do things, no.
Also, your pic related is not very good for beginners. C Programming: A Modern Approach by K. N. King is a lot better. For some reason, ig wiki doesn't have a link to it: ebook-dl com/book/247
>>61865871
Sure. If you want to go head first into the language, you could definitely skim C++ Primer just to get a feel for what it's about. Then muck about in an IDE with build+run.
But at the end of the day, you'd still have to read up on how the language works. Books are the fastest, but you could also use StackOverflow/etc.
>K&R
There's no reason to skim a book that's only 190 pages though.
What are some laptops with good keyboards?
>>61865710
I have no idea, except old thinkpad with descent keyboard.
I've got some sort of Clevo model that's got quite a nice keyboard on it. It's not that much different from others but the keys have a nice click to them and they feel nice to type with.
