How long before AMD hits Intel where it will really hurt?
Look, I can complain about CPUs meant for server sockets too.
The great debate.
ONE REASON why pale moon isn't superior to firefox/waterfox/seamonkey
>why you should buy x299
no games currently need more than 4 cores. while that might change in the future, x299 gives you the option to change cpu to newer generations for years to come
>but x299 is overpriced and you can't use all the...
well, this 400$ cpu smashes 1200$ high end threadripper. so that makes up for the price of a x299, I would say
come at me, ryzen fanboys
>gaming benchmarks on a HEDT platform
Are you literally and physically retarded?
Are you gonna compare xeon and epyc server chips with gaming benchmarks too? Dumb fuck.
What Linux do I use if I don't want to tinker with anything and want everything to work out of the box?
Why don't right-wingers make their own tech company to compete with SJWgle?
Is this just a MEME or is it a better browser if you care about privacy and like firefox addons?
Which linux distro do mexicans use?
What does /g/ think of 8BitGuy?
Delivery is a little odd and he's kind of goofy looking, but cool, and informative content. Interesting to see some of the unglamorous ways he restores stuff, since I use some of the same methods myself, and I thought I was doing a hack job. Though surprisingly he sometimes admits/reveals ignorance of things I thought were common knowledge, and I suspect he didn't grow up playing Atari 2600, as his dismissiveness of some of its games tingles my nerd rage.
Try looking up his short lived Cranial Pasta channel.
What's your "Go to" album to test your headphones?
The music has many features that helps test if everything is doing well.

Ryzen5 1600x w a asus strix rog gtx 1080? Did I do good?
When is it OK to stop seeding? I usually leave it at 2.0 and call it a day. Am I a bad person?
I only ever sees stuff that's hard to eat hold of, if it's a new release and saturates my bandwidth then nobody needs me, but if there's only 1 guy seeding when I dl and takes a month for me to get a 1gig file then I'll seed that bitch till I delete it.
If you want help:
>Assemble parts list
>State the budget for your build (and country if not USA)
>List games/software you use often, as well as your monitor resolution + refresh rate
>Clarify your goal for build improvements: lower price or improved specs?
How to assemble a PC, select components & more (outdated)
No i5 unless discounted
>G4560 - poverty-tier builds
>R3 1200 - Budget builds (<$500)
>R3 1300x - Good stop-gap between the 1500x and the 1200, only get a 1400 if you absolutely need multithreading
>R5 1500x - Good but up to 1600 if you can
>R5 1600 - Best value for higher fps gaming / mixed usage; 1600x if you want higher stock clocks
>R7/Used Xeon/Threadripper - Compute/Multitask/VM/mixed use; Not for just gaming
Coin miners have driven price up and stock down, waiting to buy a GPU might be wiser
>Integrated CPU Graphics - Desktop stuff and very light games
>GTX 1050(Ti) - Lower end budget cards, drop settings on newer games, RX560 beaten by both
>RX570 - [email protected]~hz maxed, running most maxed older games at 100~Hz
>RX580 and GTX1060 6GB - [email protected] maxed, [email protected] at lower settings; RX580 better in newer games
>GTX 1070 - [email protected] /[email protected] at high
>GTX 1080 - [email protected] / [email protected] maxed, [email protected] in a few games; Probably the highest end card you need for 1080p/1440p
>GTX 1080Ti - [email protected] and [email protected] maxed/high in many games
>Check your Mobo QVL before buying any RAM
>Ryzen CPUs benefits a lot from high speed RAM
ALWAYS LOOK AT PRODUCT REVIEWS!
Always consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor.
The Ryzen lineup comes with surprisingly good stock coolers. consider using them over any <$30 cooler.

Wow good timing. I resorted to /wsr/ for advice on my first build, and someone nicely pointed out OP made one.
I attempted for an 800 dollar build for gaming and for CAD. How did I do for the first time? Is there any where I can improve or recommendations? I would love to be able to squeeze more power out of it since right now pcpartpicker has me at 770 and I don't mind going over 800 much.
I love Vim but they make it hard to stay faithful.
