This thread is for people who are at the halfway point (or somewhere near it) towards whatever goal they have set. Obviously if you are at the halfway point then whatever you are doing is working but it can be easy to lose focus. Post your current point in your fitness goal, what you used to get there, why you are doing this goal, and motivate the poster above you.
6 ft 1 - 33 years old
Was at 225 pounds last year at this time
Currently at 192 with my goal weight being 170
Decided to lose weight because I was a lazy fat ass. Using 8/16 intermittent fasting, cardio, and cut most surgery foods and other crap foods from my diet. I've gone from a size 38 pants to a size 34 and still slimming down.

Was at 220 in March, finally decided to get my life in order. Down to 180 and put on some muscle along the way. Starting school Monday. We're gonna all gonna make it!

Holy fuck 40 pounds in 6 months is great. congrats
When did you realise you don't need muscles to get girls? I did this year when I started to develop my personality and stopped being a coward. I got laid with 8/10s because I impressed them with my wit rather than a sixpack.

son, you dont work out for pussy, you only work out for yourself. pussy and such is just a nice sideeffect
My spine clicks when I bend forwards and I'm scared to squat/deadlift. Backstory:
>about 6 weeks ago start getting pain in lower back, just to the right of my spine
>would come just as I reracked squats
>felt like something I had with deadlifts when I was a total noob, which went away when I worked out how to brace
>hardly debilitating pain so just keep going and focus a bit more on bracing (turns out I still wasn't doing this optimally, but still ok)
>after this has been occurring for a couple of weeks it starts to affect even my 1pl8 warmup set
>then, do a set that felt really bad when reracking
>stop squatting/deadlifting indefinitely (four or five weeks now)
>few people on /plg/ say its disc related and to do mcgill's big three and spinal decompression
>been doing mcgill since, and static hangs whenever I'm in the gym, but missed two weeks for other reasons
>small amount of pain from bending over fast etc for a few days after I decided to stop squatting
>after a week no pain but the occasional niggle, eg if bending forwards to reach something while on one leg
>no pain or niggles for about two weeks now
>but still worried because my spine is clicking when I bend forwards
>no pain or discomfort associated with it, and I wouldn't notice it without putting my hand on my lower back to feel it
>seems to click more on the left (the pain having been on the right)
>seems to lessen when I stretch out my lower back
>if i lean a bit either side/take one foot off the floor, there's no clicking
>a week ago I decided to do some very light squats to test it out, 8x60kg which had been giving me discomfort before, felt fine
Should I be worried? Do I need to see a chiro or can I slowly start squatting again? Thank.

go to a doctor or chiropractor, get an x-ray and a professional opinion
Oh God /fit/. How fucked am I?
>mcDicks for lunch, 20 McNuggers
>big bag of chips after workout + 4 SCOOPS C'MON
>Pizza and Coca Cola for dinner
>chocolate bar afterwards coz felt hungry
pathetic protein intake.
only 140 or so?
come on
>>42639959
Fucking pig go for a run
well that's not good, but getting upset about it won't fix anything. just slowly start eating more actual food that you cook yourself (sweet potatoes, eggs, meat, vegetables, dairy etc.) in a balanced diet
>huge fucking guy struggling with 80kg ohp
>I struggle wth 70kg
I'll get you soon you tall fucker, only 10kg to go
but you'll never be his size
a tall guy doing 80 is impressive
a short guy going 80 is to be expected for any short guy who lifts
>>42639932
manlets forget they have shorter ROM
I didn't realise how big Dallas McCarver actually was.
>>42639899
lol and manlet there trains so hard
>that look of never being McCarver mode
>order bottle of water for a drink with your Burger King
>feel like a supermodel
We're all gonna make it!
i haven't lifted a single weight in 6 months and i still come here to give people lifting and nutrition advice

>>42639855
Nope
>>42639855
You're not helping yourself but you're still helping others
We're not mad, we're thankful
>>42639855
Injury or laziness? B honest.
has anyone used any of these programs like insanity or t25 or whatever while cutting? do you lose significant muscle when doing them because there isnt weight training aspect to them?
i know about eating at a deficit and losing 1lb a week are the main goals of cutting and shit but im just wondering if anyone has gone this rout to lose their bulk weight and get down quicker....
>>42639806
Muscle that is used, does not go away. Muscle dissapears when it is no longer needed. Your body will burn fat away BEFORE used muscles.
>>42639806
dont waste money on those shitty programms. look it up on the internet. 30 minute research and you have even better stuff
>>42640664
>paying money for any program
>2017
>have access to internet
>be elite hacker because 4chan
nigga please
Can we get a gross food gorging thread? Like the absolute peak example of you at your worst?
I have eaten pizza that I threw away the night before in the bin and then fished it out the next day (it was in the closed pizza box but still).
Eaten fast food from multiple different places for the same "meal". Some of you must have good stories.
>>42639725
I was in a cut, and I was serving food to my dogs. I was so hungry that the dog food smell made me salivate and even more hungry. Without thinking I ate a little bit: it wasn't that bad.
Suddenly I find myself eating directly from the bag with a tablespoon.
I probably ate 1500+ calories of dog food and went over my TDEE.
It wasn't that bad though: it was chicken based, with a lot of protein.
If I eat nothing besides some small things like a few bell peppers/lettuce in the day then have one meal that is like a large takeaway pizza is this actually a bad thing if I'm consuming on average less calories than balanced meals
>>42639720
> Germans trying to diet
You guys eat too much bread anyway.
Yes that is a bad idea, while you'll lose weight due to lower caloric intake you will not be hitting your Macro/Micro goals and be missing a lot of daily vitamin and mineral intake.
>>42639764
>german
you wish, that guy is one of the illustrious alt right amerifats
How to achieve the /lilpeep/ mode /fit/ ?
Fast until pic related ?
I honestly don't understand these people. Do they just not eat? Very shitty appetite? How do so many "males" get to this position? What the hell is wrong with them?
This guy must've been eating sub 1000 calories for years
>>42639531
lmao you're the type of person who thinks anyone who's thin is anorexic and "needs to put some meat on their bones"
This is a normal body anywhere outside of the US or Mexico
OP you eat maybe one meal a day, or two smaller ones
>>42639809
lel, I've been to Europe and all I see are a bunch of skinnyfats with bellies who couldn't even bench the bar.
It's impressive that a guy on as much gear as Rich managed to avoid palumboism entirely.
only thing the drug dealer avoided was a drug police
>>42639406
Because he probably wasn't taking inuslin
I've been trying exercises for all parts of the traps and I found the MIDDLE trapezius is worked the best with:
- Reverse flies (those for posterior delt) hit the middle traps like 100%
- Wide barbell and wide cable rows hit them like 75-80%
But what about deadlifts? They make my traps sore, but how much do they work the middle section? 50%? 60%?
do bent over shrugs if you wanna hit it directly
example

>-Wide barbell and wide cable rows hit them like 75-80%
these both are actually really good trap exercises. You have to clinch your shoulder blades at the end of the movement. I would add face-pulls to the list, again, clinch your shoulder blades for full trap activation
The big question would be: Can one use deadlifts (and maybe adding snatch grip deadlifts) as the only exercises for the middle section of the traps?
Am I the only one who can't believe Rich Piana is fucking dead?
It was all so quick
Of all people I didn't expect him to fucking die

I know anon
>You will never lurk a fresh Rich Piana Youtube comment section
>>42639377
I don't lift on weekends, but yesterday I lifted for Rich. Rip big guy, you will be dearly missed. Also I hope his ex cunt Sara doesn't get a dime.
