I've running SS for 2 and a half month, i'm worried about my grip, it gives away easily, everything is going fine but this, should i deload or isolate my forearms?
Skelly here, i've improve a lot but my weak ass forearms are stalling.
for deadlifts i assume?
First make sure your form is correct, if it is then:
>Start using chalk
if you still need more grip strength then
>Switch to hook grip
Last resort is switching to alternate grip
If youre already on alternate grip and your grip strength is failing youre just a weak motherfucker
Rippetoes choice of grip made a difference of hundred+ pounds at his best deadlifts, read up on it
>three deadlift singles, with ~50% of your 1RM
>hold them as long as possible
>do this every day you lift, it's light enough on your back that it doesn't interfere with recovery from real deadlifts

>weak motherfucker
I know, i've been sedentary all my life so i'm very weak
Alright boys, I've looked on the sticky and couldn't find anything
Whats the best way to get in shape for freestyle/folk style wrestling
Anything regarding diet, strength, speed, or stamina is helpful to me
Look up Virginia Techs Hydration and Nutrition plan for wrestlers...Im a hs wrestling coach, went to VT camp a couple yrs back...great stuff!!!
As for strength and stamina, look at Jordan Burrows workout..hope this helps...good luck..keep grinding

Wrestling hard with people as good or better than yourself is top tier training.
Next tier is training with a 4 day split for strength and alternating sprints and long distance on rest days.

Honestly guys, I started lifting because of a breakup. I was insecure with myself, my weight, my mentality, and decided one day that things were going to change for me.
Over the course of 2 years, I started lifting hard and looking for mentors on the internet. I saw some pretty decent gains and reached a body weight of 185 lbs.
Still unhappy with where I was, I decided to do a self evaluation and realized my intensity was good, but my diet needed a ton of work.
This is when I increased my calorie intake overall to about 4500 per day and with that, upped my intensity even more. I was an athlete in my younger days and knew how to push myself, however, this was a whole new game and in the last year, I am really focusing on my mind to muscle connection.
Feel free to ask me anything or make comments. I strive to better myself physically and mentally every day as well as gain new knowledge.
My physique isn't top of the line, but I'm working towards a 215 body weight, and then cutting to 205 and maintaining with 8-10% body fat.

This has to be Bait or a copypasta no one can be so fucking retarded.

You are just one of the fucking aesthetic Generation kids. Go die of a overdose at a rave party and leave us be you fucking mongoloid.
Can I go straight into PPL or is the "strength base" meme a real thing?
Beginners can achieve more results with less work. You don't need all that volume to start.
>>42645354
Suppose that time under tention, feeling the muscle is real and all that jazz. Now, what do you think would build more muslce. 225lbs bench press mind muscle connection or 135lbs bench press? Do the math.
The same goes for volume work. If a guy does 3x5 405 squat, he can easily do 5x10 with 315. Now you have a nother guy who does 5x10 but with 225. Who do you think would have bigger legs?
>>42645354
To be honest just start with PPL but only work out 3 times a week, focus hard on getting enough sleep and ESPECIALLY enough food. Man food is so fucking important for progress you have no idea.
I'm a new comer to the gym, what's the best routine and exercises to do and what would you rate my routine atm?
Monday - Chest and triceps
Tuesday - Back and biceps
Wednesday - Legs and core
Thursday - Shoulders
Friday - Cardio

>legs are sore for the next 15 years
wew lad
How to deal with post workout soreness? Recently started working out, just ran my first ever 5k and my legs were so sore the next day and now 2 days later they are still hurting. I feel like every time I work out I need to take 2 or 3 days off to recover and it's really slowing my gains. Am I just going too hard too fast?
I've also tried to just push through the pain but I just end up with some pathetic 15 minute workout before I feel like I can't continue.
It's normal, it's called DOMS.
Just keep working out consistently and it won't hurt anymore.
If you've been working out for a couple months and you're sore as fuck, there's only 2 scenarios:
1. You took a break (couple days to a week) from working out and started again
2. You worked out a body part that you neglected
Be sure you're actually eating enough food to enable your body to recover. I'm guessing youre eating under maintanence to lose weight?
does anyone know the song playing in the background?

>tfw 6 ft and 130~ skeleton
could we have a /fit/ before and after / progress thread? Preferably people who started at my size.
Just eat one large pizza with loads of cheese, a bag of raw cashews and like one (big) scoops mass shake a day and you will gain. Easily over 3500 and protons covered
Why does recomp take so long? I don't want to bulk at all.
