My favorite lift is the olympic lift and I want to work more to incorporate it into my workout as more or less a "core lift"
I couldn't help but notice everything here is mostly focused around the squat and the deadlift, which I do enjoy doing but I definitely don't think they're more important than the olympic or clean and jerk.
SS, SL, Madcow, Bill Starr and even Westside don't seem to have it in their routines.Does anyone know of one that incorporates it in a way that isn't volume based?

I... What? There is no such thing as the Olympic lift. There is the snatch, and clean and jerk. You probably mean snatch when you say "the Olympic lift". I'd honestly recommend just looking for a usaw certified barbell club, and lifting under the coach. Olympic lifting has a much harder barrier than any other strength sport to enter.

Is this a pinched nerve? I'm pretty sure I got it from benching since that's when it hurts the most. It's generally sore even though I've been massaging it all day. I've heated it and put on ice. My PT told me to do the corner stretch which helps a lot. What do yo guys suggest I do?

I've always lived a very active lifestyle where I was strong as an ox, but my diet was always shit so I just looked fat. Last year I took control of my diet and begin seriously exercising. I was seeing amazing results, and went from 220lbs to 163. Then I had an opportunity to go off to this great job that paid mucho money.
So that meant I was sitting at a computer for like 10 -14 hours a day. All of us who were in great shape before we got hired started to fall out of it. I'm all about discipline over motivation, but it wouldn't have even made sense any of us to work out because we were all getting such little sleep in the first place. All we could do was try to control our diets, and often times we made the wrong choices because it frequently came down to being in the office for your 13th hour to meet a deadline and either eat greasy food or no food at all. It reached a point where I went from my healthy 160 to 180.
Then I used the experience of my old job to get a new one. Let me tell you, it's great and laid back, but I just got back into my old diet / workout regime. I'm at 184.
I actually have had a very different experience from you, OP. For me it felt great, I had an instant boost of energy and confidence, I only felt DOMS for like one day, libido is up, and I feel like a million bucks. I can't wait to work out again.
Also just for the record, 1.25 miles is like nothing. You should be doing that in 8 minutes tops.

You're absolutely right about feeling better. My body hurts but it's such a good hurt. I wake up in the morning feeling more rested than I have in a really long time. And the mood boost and over feeling of better health is addicting.
I stopped working out because of a shoulder injury. Also just kind of burned out. My shoulder is still sore. I'm hopeful it's just an imbalance that never corrected itself over the last year.

EAT LESS. If you intake less calories than you burn you will lose weight, especially in your current weight and eating habits. Cut down to 1500Kc a day and you will lose a couple Kgs a week like nothing, you don't need any cardio. When you've dropped 15Kg start jogging.
