Hello /fit/

I need some help getting involved with meditation, I do it once a month and don't stick with it, try third eye activation and have the most vivid dreams and find it hard to get motivated to stick with it.

Any tips? Help? Books? Videos? Stories from your personal life?

More or less, but you'd still need at least a brief period of clean bulking prior to the deficit to have muscle to fall back on. Since you're it going for ottormode the bulk cycle wouldn't have to be long.

I finally talked to this strong as fuck chick at the gym today. She mentioned reading some stuff by a couple guys. I just got off BF4 and forgot the one name I remembered.

She said he had some good stuff on lifting form. Name was Lance Norman? Norman Lane? something like that...anyone know? I'm fucking dumb I didn't write it down or open a browser page when I had it fresh in my memory.

its all about the face

So I'm a dude who wants to look what I consider to be cute. I've lost a ton of weight and want to have some pretty decent muscles, etc, so I've been lifting too.

But I've considered taking a water fasting thing to get my belly flat and show my work better, will it kill muscles as fast as fat or a little less?

as a guy with super long femurs, i feel like it wouldn't be optimal for me to squat. That being said would behind the back dead lifts give me big quads ?

You should squat, i have long femurs too and long femur colum it just means you should take wider stance and place your feet more outwards. You might wanna try both high and low bar to see which suit better for you but you squats is the ultimate exercise for gains trust me

I can touch base with my toes just fine but how do I build up to pic related? I wanna be a bendy noodle.

stretch 3 times a day in that position.

spread your legs as far as you comfortably can, and then alternate the following two stretches for about 2-5min each day:

- Arms up, back straight, core braced and try to lean forward while keeping the back straight. lean as far as possible, hold 5 seconds, breathe in and while breathing out lean a bit more forward each time. When you are as far as you think you can go change to stretch 2

- let you back become loose and try walking forward with your fingers, again use your breathing to get farther. switch back to stretch 1 if you don't get flatter after breathing.

also don't forget to stretch the opposing musles afterwards so you can move the next day.

A good way to tell if its worth getting is whether it has enough sodium in it. If they have sodium below or equal to the other electrolytes then you won't feel any effect in my experience. I like Nuun tablets, they taste good and have way higher mineral concentrations than Gatorade and Pedialyte. Salt Stick is probably the best balanced electrolyte mix I think, but its less convenient to carry around gel caps.

You can also just but the various minerals you want in pill form and take those, its the same thing.

Question:

Can I not just have half of my calories/protein before working out, then the other half right after working out, and not eat the rest of the time?

Also does sugar free gum have any impact on fat storage/blood sugar? There's like 2 calories per piece so ~0.5g carbs

For the first question, sure. As long as you're getting it somehow...people here and elsewhere would tell you eating before is better than after, or after better than before, but it doesn't matter.

For the second question, probably. not. Though I'm not knowledgeable about sugar-free things.
