dont do it brah, my cholesterol went high as fuck after eating of tons eggs/bacon for a few years while lifting for tasty protein
stopped eating eggs all together after the results came back, and 4 months later got retested and cholesterol was good.

you don't need any of that shit. only whole grains, fruits, veggies, probiotics, and miniscule amounts of meat and dairy
>>41749690
listen here you no gains having mother fucker...
I'm currently following the leddit ppl routine:
PULL
Deadlifts 1x5+/Barbell rows 4x5, 1x5+ (alternate, so if you did deadlifts on Monday, you would do rows on Thursday, and so on)
3x8-12 Pulldowns OR Pullups OR chinups
3x8-12 seated cable rows OR chest supported rows
5x15-20 face pulls
4x8-12 hammer curls
4x8-12 dumbbell curls
PUSH
4x5, 1x5+ bench press/4x5, 1x5+ overhead press (alternate in the same fashion as the rows and deadlifts)
3x8-12 overhead press/3x8-12 bench press (do the opposite movement: if you bench pressed first, overhead press here)
3x8-12 incline dumbbell press
3x8-12 triceps pushdowns SS 3x15-20 lateral raises
3x8-12 overhead triceps extensions SS 3x15-20 lateral raises
LEGS
2x5, 1x5+ squat
3x8-12 Romanian Deadlift
3x8-12 leg press
3x8-12 leg curls
5x8-12 calf raises
I now want to implement farmers walks into my routine due to shit grip strength, and I was wondering what day it would be ideal to do it. As you can see, I deadlift on pull and leg day, but I do lateral raises on push day so I'm not really sure what day that would be optimal in regards to recovery.
>>41749407
leg day, because it's mainly a leg exercise.
>cock won't give me cancer you weak willed faggot.
>optimal recovery
>ppl
choose one
>>41749554
Alright. Im left with the impression that it's a stronger emphasis on traps and forearms, but that might be wrong (?)
>>41749560
I'm making way better gains on PPL than I ever did doing full body. It might not be optimal, but I really enjoy hitting the gym that often anyway
>that guy who is slowly poisoning himself because doesn't keep his fish oil supplements refrigerated
my fish oil container says "store in a cool dry place". checkmate
do these magic pills make you stronger? leaner? muscular?
AFAIK people just take them because it's supposed to make them "healthier" in a non-measurable abstract or stupidly long-term way.
>>41749359
>"store in a cool dry place"
Also known as: refrigerator
Touchdown.
Move this to the QTDDTOT thread if needed, but I'm genuinely curious - How/why is it that so many people on here have parents/family that are unsupportive of, if not directly hindering their fitness goals? I regularly see threads on here about parents throwing away supplements, refusing to feed their (albeit 20-something) children out of their own pockets to whatever extent, or intentionally putting unwanted ingredients into their meals. My parents became regular gym-goers after a lifestyle of eating out often caught up with us (I just kept getting fatter for a few more years), and when I decided to start getting /fit/, they were more than happy to help me by shopping for the foods I'd cook/eat for myself and giving me feedback/advice with my diet and routine. Tbh as much as I recognize and appreciate how much they do for me, I feel like this is what good parents should be doing like jesus fuck, do you not want your kids to be fit and healthy?

Crabs dont wanna see another crab escape
Thoughts on nutrient timing? Do you think it's important?
>evolved eating whatever we could whenever it was available
Fuck no it isn't.
>>41749344
doesn't really matter for beginners.
the closer you get to your genetic potential, the more it matters.
it's important in the sense of "don't be a retard who lifts after not eating for 5 hours" and the like.
>wanna be a lean cunt
>roommate keeps ordering pizza
>trying to get down to low BF%
>parents keep buying junk food and not finishing it
Room mates actually share food?
That's pretty gay.
Then again sharing a house with a non-blood relative male is pretty gay.

Yesterday I decided to start running in the mornings to get back in shape
I have a small route I take and it's a good start since I am very much out of shape.
First run was awful, ran to the end of the route and couldn't run back, walked back home with like 3 long pauses.
This morning was pretty good, I ran the same route, at the end I took a small breather and started running back. Had to walk few times between the runs but a lot better than the first day.
My question is, how long does it take for actual improvement to take place? When can I run this small route I have from beginning to the end and back without pauses? When can I run this route twice without losing my breath?
And don't worry, I won't stop this routine no matter what your answers might be. Just no troll answers please
>>41749142
>I won't stop this routine no matter what your answers might be
Then just do it until you progress fuckface
>>41749142
>How long
You gave us fuck all information you moron. What was your pace, the distance, your experience.
For a fat fuck like me it could be something short like a 3km/2mi run, or for someone normal something around the 10km/6mi.
You'll get there anyway. Train for Time>Distance>speed when you're just starting. Don't be that guy running a 7 minutes mile unable to run 5k in 30 minutes.
>>41749142
the progress one experiences when getting back to running (which I assume is what you're doing)
is literally the fastest of any kind of physical improvement. Stamina is developed faster than any other trait, and any trait develops better when you suck at it ("noob gainz"), and the pace is even accelerated if you are coming back to something your body has already adapted to in the past.
if you can't run twice as long withing a month you're probably a sixty year old white woman.
Anybody try this powder? Ran out of my usual and had to improvise until i can order more.
Also, sups general
The Women's protein is better.
>>41749113
Not sure if meme
I already get enough man protein from my boyfriend
I don't have a lot of free time in my life anymore.
Would staying up all night on a saturday, and getting more sleep on Sunday night be a viable idea?
I'm not so stupid to try it without figuring it out.
>>41748997
Yes, if you can get your body used to it.
t. guy who stays up for 48 hours then sleeps for 24
>>41748997
You can try, but it doesn't work out for me. If I don't sleep at all at night, I'm a zombie for the rest of the next day, so it's a fucking waste of time anyway.
It's more of a mental fatigue than physical, my brain just refuses to think about anything more complex than "wanna go to bed"
>>41749035
>>41749051
Seeing as I've got a 5 day a week job, it's probably not very viable.
After all, I once did an all nighter playing games a long time ago. Worst feeling in my life.
>day 3 of nofap
>day 3 of nofood
>day 5 of nopoo
>>41748986
This is unironically my life, I can go 3 to 5 days without shitting.
I haven't been lifting for the last 6 months though and I should eat more.
The worst is when it all comes down in one fucking batch, and you're fucked if you're not at home and with no restroom in sight.
I had to shit in fucking bushes one time, wiping my ass with a t-shirt
I can only lift 3 times per week because of my job and other hobbies. /k/ and stuff.
Wed, Fri and Sun.
Can I still make it?
Definitely
If fullbody then of couse

This is the training /a/ music thread.
What is your best shit to push through that last set/km?
I'll start : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11RonjF4tjI

This guy is almost 7 feet tall.
I'm 6 foot.
I'm not gonna make it...
>>41748708
Fuck that sack of shit. Mr. "I'm so fucking morally superior". I hope the God Emperor indicts that fuckstick.
>>41749293
>Mr. "I'm so fucking morally superior"
but he IS morally superior to trump. trump's campaign has been nothing but resignations and bullshit. hasn't a huge chunk of his cabinet resigned or received ethics wavers because of conflicting interests, or simply gotten shitcanned?
comey has his problems, but i've actually gained respect for him over the last 8-10 months.
/fit/, i need your help!
Ive been lifting consistently for 8 months while i was in a student dorm, went to the local gym, shit was great. But a month ago ive moved home, to a small village (about 200 ppl live here).
I stopped lifting since, degrading into skelly mode tight now.
Now, the problem is, the only available gym here is absolutely poverty, only got a bench and a squat rack, a 22 lbs bar and weights.
The only pair of 45 lbs plates are different in diameter, and are small as shit.
The question is, what could i do insted of deadlifts? Will the different diameter fuck my muscle balance up on other lifts?
I really fucking want to get back to lifting once my finals are over
>>41748397
go to the woods and pick up trees idiot
>>41748469
Would lifting in the woods help me achieve bearmode?

So I've been doing SS for a little while and eating as much as I can, but I feel like I might be gaining too quickly.
Is this weight gain normal or too rapid and am I just gaining a lot of fat.
I eat roughly 3500 calories a day, and I'm 6'4. Lifts are 95, 135, 190, 275.
>>41748369
Don't worry too much about it. Most of your weight gain came from water.
>>41748393
Cool, cheers man :)
Dont fall for the dirty bulking meme.
A small calorie surplus is all you need, else you will be gaining alot of fat
