How about instead, you make healthy eating a lifestyle choice. You don't need to calorie count all the time - it is a good idea to do it for a bit, so you get a fair idea of what suitable portion sizes look like. Healthy eating isn't about broccoli and boiled chicken, it is about balance and making sensible choices combined with basic self responsibility.
And unlike periodic "diets" the results are long lasting and you can enjoy life.

I had the same problem. as I got stronger and built up back muscle the discomfort went away. i recommend reducing load on the squat to where it isn't painful, gradually increasing, and go hard on The Press, and other back workout like rows, and my personal favorite, handstands, will give you a killer back

This week the macros are per day:
Calories: 1790
Protein: 150 g
Carbs 160 g
Fat: 58 g
Do these sound okay? I'm just starting so really I'm just trying to get in the habit of eating healthier and cooking and starting slow in exercise. I'd like to transform my body but I want to start out by making these habits normal (less eating out, no junk food, soda, etc.). What do you think? Thank you.

Nailed it. DeFranco's limber 11 for a few months. Stretches that helped me the most are butterflies, piriformis, and hip flexor stretch. I was never able to touch my toes in the past, now i feel tight if i am only reaching my toes
