I'm doing SS and pulled my groin chasing my kid around. WebMD says it could take 4-6 weeks to heal and not to do strenuous exercise or you'll make it worse. I'm somewhere between stage 1 and 2, as I can't lift my left leg until going through a spasm of pain.

I'm nervous about losing my leg gains if I don't squat or deadlift for a month and a half. Anybody here deal with a groin injury while doing an LP program? Did you do isolation exercises for your legs while recovering or just drop legs altogether?

Be very very careful anon,
I had a nigling groin injury for a couple of weeks. Took time off then went back to it with no stretching or rehab. Played a much around game of football (soccer) over extended my leg and tore my adductor tendon off the bone.

I'm trying to get back into lifting Rippetoe's Starting Strength after not lifting for 4 years since college. I see shit like

if you really want to exercise more days, just do a upper/lower splti (PPL/PHUL) you can't do full body 5x a week

muscle groups need at least 48 hrs rest to see results/progression. best case scenario working the same muscles every day you just become really tired and sore, worst case scenario you end up injuring yourself

if you want you can do 3 days of lifting/3 days of cardio, but you need to eat a lot

I have a relatively high BMI of 25.1 so I'm not sure wether I should lose weight before I start lifting in the gym. I've only done bodyweight stuff for two month and I don't feel like I'm making progress (two month is nothing I know, doesn't help that it's boring af)

I don't really look overweight do I?
What do you think my bodyfat-percentage is?
Should I stop caring, start lifting weights and cut later?

how do I know if I'm depressed or just low t? I'm poor without health insurance so I can't really afford to get blood work done or afford treatment anyway.

Been feeling like I have an intense pressure on my chest and I just don't enjoy anything anymore.

Or do it on your own and check your CBC, test, etc.. levels online and go in to take a blood sample, they handle everything and give your results online

Its not bad. Just make sure to alternate.

There's high risk of popping or tearing a bicep on the arm that is underhand.

As well as the fact that it can cause trap imbalances.

After deadlifting for 5 years, I can honestly say that you probably shouldn't mix your grip. The muscle imbalances for me seemed to extend to most of my back musculature as well as my traps.

And having a strong grip and big forearms is nice. So, just Deload and double overhand that shit

I would start with full body, mostly compounds. It will give your body a chance to get used to lifting and get those stabilizers ready to go. Eventually move on to splits or whatever.
