how do I find out my max deadlift without going to snapcity?
I've deadlifted like once in my life. Do I just throw some plates on and try to feel it out?

You can just start with the bar and work your way from there. Also you'll only get your ticket to snapcity if you fuck up your form, on deadlifts you just can't afford to do it wrong. Just ask a gym staff member to teach you the right form if you need to (no-one cares if you need help getting a deadlift 'right', they only care if they see you doing it 'wrong').

use microplates numbnuts. you can also adjust volume. progressive overload isn't just about more weight. you can increase the volume too. if you can lift 230 x6, and later x7 or whatever it will make you stronger

What's up m8s? Looking for some friendly advice. Left is me. I ran stronglifts on/off with little dedication for about a year. I made some progress but barely any aesthetic gains. Currently running that PPL from the metallica dipshit on reddit with a friend. Pretty much just started and I'm pretty damn committed to getting in shape this time and not missing workouts.
Should I just eat at a deficit while running the PPL or just around maintenance?

Hurt my upper back/lats doing shoulder press when I was still starting out lifting almost a year ago with shit form and I'm still in pain.
Went to a chiropractor who did some Gua Sha Therapy (muscle scraping) on me which helped a lot, and now all he seems to do is deep tissue massage and some joint cracking.
Should I start going to a massage therapist instead? I'm spending a shit load of money on my chyro. I know you guys can't tell what's wrong with my muscles just from this post but does anyone have any similar experiences and would deep tissue massage just relieve the pain or eventually solve the problem completely?
