What's up m8s? Looking for some friendly advice. Left is me. I ran stronglifts on/off with little dedication for about a year. I made some progress but barely any aesthetic gains. Currently running that PPL from the metallica dipshit on reddit with a friend. Pretty much just started and I'm pretty damn committed to getting in shape this time and not missing workouts.
Should I just eat at a deficit while running the PPL or just around maintenance?

Well do you want to look fat or not? If not, lift while on a deficit.
As a beginner, you can eat at a deficit and still make gains as long as you are taking in enough protein
Basically you can eat small and get big (until a certain point)

i was 5'6 140 lbs skelly fat mode
in 3 weeks i got to 127 by only getting rid of crap food, especially coke, sodas etc, counting calories and doing moderate calisthenics, shit is easy as fuck.
