Serious question:

You're walking your dog or at the dog park enjoying the scenery when a pit bull comes from out of nowhere and latches on to your dog's neck and doesn't let go. What do you do? (You can only use whatever items/weapons you usually carry on your body during dog walks, trips to the park, etc)

I'm asking, because the thought does cross my mind sometimes (I've seen pit bull attacks first-hand and it's terrifying) and I don't want to be helpless in a situation like this.

First, I'd tell thepitbull owner to fuck off a steps back

This is coming from someone who doesn't know shit about dog biting, I would ask someone to call a vet ambulance (Are these real?), then I would sit on it and rest all my weight, if it doesn't let go still, I'll put my shirt or socks on my hands, and try to open it's mouth with my covered hands.

Don't know how useful it would be, but I'm pretty sure dog's bites are not THAT strong.

Is there any chance to stop the vaquita from going extinct?
52 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
wow, i had no idea this even existed. and i thought i knew cetaceans well.

but it's probably fucked due to overfishing and the fact nobody knows what the fuck it is, the most endangered animals only have a chance if the public is aware of them. and they are cute.
>>
>>2349023
Isn't the only reason the panda is still around because people think it's cute?
>>
I had a physiology course where the professor studied whales, and she talked about the vaquita like it was already extinct.

So probably not.

Some zoos do suck shit, but they're pretty important for getting the general public interested in animals and caring for some endangered animals.

zoos outside of america and europe and australia should honestly be shut down.

My roommate bought a little dog and is never home. The dog spends the majority of her life in her cage. He's ways out doing something else when he isn't at work. So I have a couple questions for anyone willing to help me out.
1. How do i convince him to stay home with his dog more? I've tried before but all he did was tell me it's fine
2. What are some side effects of a dog that's cooped up for some long? Maybe it'll help convince him
3. What can i do to help without sacrificing most of my free time?

Also the dog is an American Eskimo

Eski... Fuck, this is horribly depressing, they cant handle being alone, nothing is better for them than participating in stuff with their master, they are gentle companion dogs, and this hits me personally too. You're roommate is a fucker. Poor pupper will probably go legit insane.

I think it started. She's way more hyper. Also, I think he's ashamed of her. He never walks her, and is gonna say its his girlfriends dog when (if) ever he gets one. I think he only bought her to impress girls and for Snapchat. And I really feel bad for her. Do you have any suggestions?
>>
Not really, if he'd be willing to I'd say give her to someone who will take care of her properly, preferably someone you know not just a shelter or what have you. Any pics?

the highest end pet food brands are basically just pate with vitamins added. All of it has to be fit for human consumption by law so you won't catch any diseases from it.

It's clearly a pitbull, and based on that aggressive snarl it should be put down immediately.

What is it about this animal that inspires so much bullshit?

There's the cringey memes, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. There's also the people who identify with cats because they see themselves as aloof, intelligent, quiet, discerning people, yet they really only succeed in being aloof and tend to be insufferable pseudointellectuals. Also, cats are rarely any of those things in my experience.

I mean, I like the animal itself just fine, but I never want to talk about it in real life because cat fans just suck ass.

>pseudointellectuals
the problem is that stupid people are incapable of recognizing smart ones.

and stupid people invariably consider themselves to be intellectuals.

so if you look around and see pseudointellectuals everywhere there's a solid chance YOU'RE the pseudointellectual.

There's a 50% chance YOU are stupider than average. Think about it.

Cats are half-domesticated, so they sometimes seem being stupid and mindlessly wild. In other word: good meme material (lolcats - 4chan invention).

There is 100% chance you're not smart and don't know how statistics work.
