How do i know what's my patronus?
I'm getting this playpen for my ferrets. It's 29 inches tall. If they end up being able to climb it, what can I put at the top to keep them from escaping? Would pool noodles work?
Whatever it is they'll escape from it
If they can climb it, the absolutely only thing thats going to stop them is a lid.
>>2354200
There's gotta be something at home depot or Lowe's that can fix it. Maybe put something against the inside of the bars so they can't climb to begin with.
What animal do you consider funny?
Mine are Pelicans. They got huge beaks and sometimes they consume other birds because they're not very bright in the head.
Domestic geese. They look goofy as fuck when they try to be intimidating with their hissing.

Hey /an/,
Cat brought in this kitten today, not sure how old it is, or really how to take care of it. The mom isn't interested in the baby, and the baby isn't interested in the bottle, and I' m not sure if it's full or it doesn't understand. Please help? Google isn't quite doing its job.
>>2353888
Its easier to feed them with a dropper which you can get from a pharmacy. You will have to google what type of milk to use, and the frequency of feeds.
>>2353893
I bought a bottle feeder from Petsmart, with a nipple, plus some milk made for kittens, which states the amounts I need. What I want to know is how old it is, and why it isn't eating.
I heard something about light belly massage clockwise
cat moms lick like that to stimulate gut moving
you'd better to search that to confirm
How can I raise a pet mole?

Why do these people hate dogs, /an/? Is a fundamental piece of their soul missing? Is it a gene that they don't carry? Perhaps a racial basis? Why do you like dogs and what do you think of dog-haters?
Dog haters, same questions to you. Are dog-lovers just insane? Why do you dislike dogs and what do you think of dog lovers?
This is about dogs and our opinions of them, not about cats vs dogs or any other pet war

Let's see where /an/ stands!
Perhaps it could be interesting to give background info
I'm 18 and from the USA, I love dogs and every dog-hater I've met has been a fucked up person. I think dogs are one of the best animals and do think they are le humanity's pet.
I have one dog, but live with three others that aren't mine.

apparently marsupials are mammals. The timeline I came from marsupials were a class of animal all on their own
who else is from there?
I think you're confusing marsupials being different from most placental mammals, with them having not been mammals at all.
>>2352478
Youre just an idiot OP
There are two types of mammals, marsupials and placental mammals

it's just the shape of their mouth that gives the appearance of them smiling.
Stop anthropomorphizing animals.
Animals don't care about you, only the food you provide them.

>nb4 "OPs a faggot, that fish has to travel three feet to breath"
NOPE
See this? There is a tupe running in it and an air pump creating a small pocket, or under-water cave, that he can (and has) swim up into for a breath of fresh air. It also creates bubbles every 3 seconds (kinked it so the flow slowed and didn't create a strong current), and up top...
>>2351841
...he has a small, pre-cycled filter that I keep in the water (there by keeping wet, THERE BY not killing off the good bacteria) that I run for two to three hours a day to clean the water a bit and not tired out my fish with the strong flow created by such a tall tank.
Come at me bros.
That looks like trash
I really don't get vulture hate. People hate them for being smelly and making ugly noises, but vultures are actually clean, majestic, beautiful creatures, and any vulture is a better singer than your fat ugly aunt that sings while taking a shower.
Vultures are seen as a symbol of death, but that should be us, human beings, as we kill animals every day for our own selfish needs.
As for the eating rotten flesh thing, this is not disgusting at all, as our stomaches have developed to kill all the things that would do any harm to a precious vulture. And eating rotten flesh isn't uncommon anyway, as we eat at fast food restaurants every day.
I say we, human beings, should respect vultures more, and appreciate their beauty and intelligence.

Sorry, meant their

Every spring a bunch of turkey vultures will perch on the peak of pic related, and air out their wings.
It's still kinda creepy.
It's cool to watch them soar and glide on the thermals, for such a big bird it doesn't look like it takes much effort to stay airborne.

I get black vultures. much better to look at if you think the pink heads are weird
What kind of slug is this and how do I take care of it?
>>2351493
Banana slug.
You get a cheap 10 gallon tank and take care of it like any other slug on google.
Will die if your summer temps get too warm though.
Keep it around 50-70 degrees. Too hot will literally kill it, too cold will make it hibernate.
https://snailsandslugs.wordpress.com/2010/10/04/terrarium/
There's dozens of guides on making a terrarium. Ultimately you want to keep the environment moist but not soaked, and want to clean up any standing water and rotting food to prevent mold and anything that may hurt the mollusk.
>>2351534
Also slugs do not give a shit about having a large environment. You could keep a handful of them in a gallon tank. The issue is if you want a self-replenishing colony of slugs that'll periodically breed and lay eggs you'd want to go for something slightly bigger and a bigger tank means more work with cleaning up.
If you want to make a full terrarium tank you could include things like earthworms and pillbugs which won't hurt the slugs and will have symbiotic benefits with the soil and detritus.
How many birdos can you identify by sound alone?
I know like maybe 15 if I'm lucky.
Any tips for getting better? I have the songs/calls sound files but most of them just end up sounding like the same repeated tweets and chirps to me.
>>2351106
I read that some bird expert guy reccomends picking out an individual bird and listening to/watching it sing. He said studying individuals first makes it easier to then learn species because you can see the variation within them.
>>2351106
Oh, look at its big eyes
>>2351106
I think at least all of them barring maybe one or two.
How can small beaks beta birds even compete?
>>2351061
I interned at a rescue once, they need a long ass cage because these birbs are always getting their beak stuck in shit.
