I love the look of wolfhounds and deerhounds but they aren't a good fit for me with the size and short life span.

I'd try for schnauzer or airedale/welsh terrier mixes from a shelter or on Petfinder. I've seen a few, mixed with god knows what, tend to have similar body shapes but are much smaller.

Doesn't sound like OP is just getting a dog just for it's looks because they already know these breeds are incompatible for them. Besides, even with adoption or rescue situations it'd be ridiculous if you think people don't get pets because it's general appearance appealed to them initially.

Looks like earmites m8. Cat had them for a while (indoor cat, not sure how that happened but whatever). Anyway, too a lot of eardrops to fix but nothing too bad.

I am now coming to grips with the fact that this can very well be Chili's last summer, Christmas, or hell even April.
I have never really put much thought into how much this little asshole has been there for me, has gotten me laid and made LAYDEES feel at home and comfortable (ohhhh she's sooo cute and sweet anon), also if you get the "LAYDEES" reference, you're forever my bro.
I have lost extremely close friends and even roommates who have lived with me to accidental deaths and freak incidents and have attended funerals. Even made speeches without losing my cool besides the typical sob for a minute or two.
I just feel when my cat decides to finally cash out, I may actually have a hard time coping with it/may become depressed.
Is there anyone else who can relate?

The whole point of the jar is let them live, and I sent the poor thing to its death thinking they would get along
