I never understood my mom's fascination with plants growing up. She never understood mine with my pets either. But what i didn't ever understand was why she bought the same anuals year after year. I've scaped my lawn the best i can and i filled it up with some nice gorgeous perennials. The best thing is most perennials grow like weeds. I've paid for maybe a handful of plants, if not they've been given to me or i got clippings of some nice plants from local parks.
