Why is it that I get laughed at when explaining that there could have been a much more intelligent and superior race before us? Specifically when I mention megaliths and the pyramids etc.
I don't even see how this is such a crazy explanation. I visited Egypt mid 2010 and saw the Valley of the Kings, the Pyramids etc. How can people tell me that "primitive" beings were able to cut and shape granite blocks to absolute intricacy, haul them down the nile and proceed to build a structure so precise and absolute, while matching it up to star alignments and use the structure to signal the commencement of the equinox?
What are your thoughts on all of this? Aliens, people that had tools and ways of constructing things that we haven't figured out yet or was there a number of civilisations before us that have been wiped out and we have restarted our evolution again?
I enjoy reading about people's views on this :)

Tl;dr: where do you so us humans in the next few years/decades?
I'm not asking so much as how the human race will end. But rather, whats your opinion/thoughts about where we're heading?
The time we live in now is vastly different from the 90's and so on. Artificial intelligence is just on the horizon. We're basically living in a SciFi reality that's still in it's infancy.
So much is possible, but hasn't happened yet. Does /x/ think we'll destroy ourselves before we reach a universal utopia? Are we even capable of such a thing?
Part of me is still optimistic about man kind. But i feel at this point it could go either way.

Something strange is happening. I can't stop thinking about some weird object. It looks like a huge pyramid made out of obsidian or black glass with sharp edges and very smooth sides. I have been admiring its perfection for days now. Last night I had a dream in which it was towering next to my house.
Have any of you had similar experiences or am I just going insane?
This picture is something I found on google which somewhat looks like it but its sides aren't reflective.
