We have a culture of disbelief, and a lot of the time when people DO have a real experience, they either think they were just seeing things or they normalize the experience.

It's just developed to the point where even if a decent picture or video gets leaked, most people will just immediately chalk it up to a fake as "that's not how it's supposed to be".

The best way to handle hiding the paranormal is under a very thin veil; the more serious things are protected, the more suspicious the public gets. Hide in plain sight, etc.

Here's why most of it is fake:

1) attention whores. The majority of people on TV, if not all, and on other forms of media (such as 4chan) crave attention. They want their 15 seconds of fame in this digital world.

2) the enjoyment of story creation. People thoroughly enjoy writing fiction and reading fiction. Supply and demand. We have hundreds of thousands of fictional books at our fingertips. Surely these fictional books can't all be fiction, can they?

3) to support a cause, such as religion. Simple as that.

4) commercial purposes. Take Ghost hunters for example. You really think all those places they visited were haunted? No...they wanted free advertisement, countrywide...no, worldwide.

I'm able to explain this one, but have been waiting for a thread like this to pop up:

So, I religiously salt just about everything. Mainly because I love salt, but also because I'm paranoid af. Salt being just about the easiest way to "scare off" spooks, yeah, I put that shit on everything.. including in my coffee.

So this one morning, I go to grab another cup of coffee, and I notice a small amount of salt on the top of the coffee maker. Now this strikes me as odd, because I don't sprinkle it there only in the coffee maker, never on it, I live alone, and I don't see how I could have got it on there by mistake. Whatever, I shrug it off.

The next day, I go to grab another cup of coffee, and what do you know, salt on top of the coffee maker again. This happens again. And again. And again.

So now I'm thinking that my paranoid nature has attracted the attention of a spook. Some ghost who wants to mess with me and say "hey numbnuts, salt don't do shit". So I'm talking out loud to this "spook" while getting a cup of coffee this one time, and then I notice it. I put the sugar lid on top of the coffee maker. There was never any salt, it was sugar that fell off the lid the whole damn time.

I'm a hypnotist, never did street hypnosis tho. for quick easy inductions make sure to pace and lead, give instructions, use yes sets, activate their imagination, keep their attention laser focused.
