Looking back, is there anyone else that found this release actually quite disappointing? I mean, how many plastic kits actually are there? 5 or 6? And even then they had to sell it as THREE separate books (Skitarii, Cult and Knights) for maximum shekels.
>GW finally has the gumption to do AdMech
>basically everyone relevant from the Design Studio has either left or is in a figurehead role like Jervis Johnson, leaving the kids
I wonder how it might have worked out if people like Andy Chambers and Rick Priestley were still around when GW insisted that every army needed a Super-heavy and a flyer making.
>>44707961
My main disappointment is that I always imagined the Skitarii as 30% high-tech, best-of-the-best soldiers looking like something out of a USMC recruitment ad made by Robert Heinlein, 10% special snowflake weird science Magos, and 60% robots and servitors.
But that's really a personal opinion thing.
>>44708279
Well, they are still pretty damn elite compared to the Imperial Guard. Just not compared to Space Marines or Sisters.
>>44708301
I was talking about aesthetics.
So Parson's not Chief Warlord anymore and there's about to be war in the Magic Kingdom.
Thoughts?
Why don't you go to /co/ or somewhere? Nobody will care there either, but still.
>>44707959
As of the last panel, Gobwin Knob just got 3 new casters...
How long do you think they'll last?
>>44707979
Because Erfworld's a piece of media based on /tg/ materials, and has /tg/ denizens as its target audience? I'm sorry if you're annoyed that it's popped up here, but /co/ wouldn't care about it. So if there's discussion to be had of this, it's to be had here.

Current Project: making a compendium of vehicles for fourth edition.
How you can contribute: write up a short but interesting description of a real, mass-produced vehicle. Ideally the vehicle should be common, a good representative of it's type and/or an iconic design.
Really helpful mode: try to find out vital stats: empty weight, top speed, acceleration, maximum load, number of seats, armour or hull thickness, range (or at least fuel capacity), price (new), included equipment and weapons and the dates it was produced.
Extra helpful mode: convert those stats to GURPS rules.
Currently looking for more civilian cars and motorcycles, plus emergency services vehicles (fire engines, etc) and construction equipment.
All other GURPS discussion is of course on topic as well.
A guide to helping with the vehicles project.
Latest version of the collection.
Now with Airships, Bulldozers, Cargo Ships, Dirt Bikes, Excavators and the A-10 Thunderbolt II
So, re-asking then.
Anyone here ever played GURPS with randoms on Roll20?
How did it go? What timezone were they from?
Is masturbating to Emperor heresy? I think it's a sing of endless admiration oh how much I would give to experience his mighty cock and have his blessings spilled all over me.
>>44707609
Nigga, you gay.
>>44707643
It's not gay if it's for the Emperor.
>>44707680
Quick! Fuck those slaaneshi priests.
But sir, that's heresy.
FOR THE EMPEROR!
It really is a get out of gaol free card.
Which system can I use to run this?
It has to cover martial arts with some robot techniques and interchangeable body parts if possible. The simpler the rules, the better!
That system about postapoc loli-zombies seems a good fit, if you don't mind the fact that you apparently can't play the lone wolf in it.
>>44707413
>cyberbrains
>robot bodies/prosthetics
>Multiple copies of people running around
>Whole of the solar system is colonized, earth is a postapoc shithole.
I would say Eclipse Phase, but it lacks the specialized martial arts for synthetic bodies.

GURPS Martial Arts + Transhuman Space
You wake up in a dark room lying on your back. The ground is dirt, and if you look up you can see the moon through an open wooden door. You think you might be in a basement. In your right hand, you are holding a necklace of some kind.
What do you do?
You hear a woman's voice. "Gary? Are you out here?" She's outside the basement.
>>44707340
I say "Gary" in response.
>>44707340
I put on the necklace.
So it's the middle of Summer, your group walks into a forest and is caught in a full on blizzard. What do you do?
>>44706396
Find some shelter. Duh.
Ask the DM if we're on the northern or southern hemisphere of the planet, and if it has an orbit similar to Earth's.
>>44706396
Look at the trees, if I see thorns, I swear I'm going to punch the GM.
We already got fucking stuck there once.
Never again.
Fuck the Hedge.
>one of the greatest heroes of recent Imperial history
>flaunts the use of a xenos weapon
Why hasn't some Inquisitor offed him because of this flagrant heresy?
>>44706255
Because a radical Inquisitor would stop them.
>>44706255
Because no one would fucking dare.
>>44706255
Because he is a Hero if the Imperium.
And they'd have to get through the rest of the Steel Legion.

Thoughts on Legolas?
They picked a good actor to portray him I thought, but he had no real place in the Hobbit movies.
>>44705519
This.
Fun to watch and he did his part well. Just that his part wasn't needed.
So I need some help and advice. I'm an old hand at 3.5 but this isn't really an area I have any experience with. I have a group of new players and I've done some pretty good character development with most of them. But one character in particular, I wanted to give a crisis of conscience/personality. So I want to give this rogue a powerful, evil dagger, that will slowly attempt to take over his personality. .comi think it will be a great test for him, and a great character development. Very similar to the Ring of Tolkiens tale. However, I have no idea what the mechanics of such a temptation would be. Any experience related to such options would be awesome.
>>44705204
Intelligent item rules are as follows for 3.5.
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/intelligentItems.htm#itemsAgainstCharacters
I would make the item cursed so it can't be thrown away, gives great bonuses, but whenever it forces a check against the item's ego raise the DC by 1 each time.
Have the player character lose charisma over time if the PC doesn't turn evil. When it reaches 0 the PC becomes an NPC.
That is perfect. Exactly the reference I was hoping for. Thank you sir.
You are not a very good DM.
So do you guys use any Oaths or prayers or chants or whatever in any of your games, if so what are they - The Paladin Oath of lawful goodness, the Knights Oath to be chivalrous, the Necromancers chant to rise the dead etc etc?
Besides the Knights Oath from Dragonheart I've never heard a cool oath.
>A knight is sworn to valor.
>His heart knows only virtue.
>His blade defends the helpless.
>His might upholds the weak.
>His word speaks only truth.
>His wrath undoes the wicked.
I make up little diddies or describe a little ritual for whenever my character casts a specific spell for the very first time in-game. That's about as far as I'm willing to go.
I find it works best when the oath is also tied to "use your fucking brain, tho". This prevents going full lawful stupid while still representing the ideals.
Copied this in a .txt from a post some anon made here couple of weeks ago.
>Honesty. Don't lie or cheat. Let your word beyour promise.
>Courage. Never fear to act, though caution is wise.
>Compassion. Aid others, protect the weak, and punish those who threaten them. Show mercy to your foes, but temper it with wisdom.
>Honor. Treat others with fairness, and let your honorable deeds be an example to them. Do as much good as possible while causing the least amount of harm.
>Duty. Be responsible for your actions and their consequences, protect those entrusted to your care, and obey those who have just authority over you
My Weird War 2 investigators (Brits) are braving the roof of the world to find out what the Nazis discovered there 2 years earlier ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vmh4GLddGG8 ). Of course it will turn out to be a powerful supernatural threat which the Reich intents to use for winning the war in Europe. Not that things aren't looking up for them already, it's early 1942.
So far the party has discovered a monastery which was under a powerful geas after the Ahnenerbe expedition found information about their target and left a demon spike plugged into a ley line nearby to inhibit anybody near the monastery talking about the relevant topics.
The heroes discovered the thing, battled a guard entity, and were able to free the area from the device.
Then they moved on to Lhasa where the new year's celebrations were just beginning (they last weeks). Of course as foreigners they had to jump through hoops meeting with officials and gathering support for their presence there. Their secret mission was soon revealed and they got the chief of police, one of the few Tibetans fluent in English after an education in good old England, on their side.
Their Swiss travel journalist companion turned out to be a German spy. Well, they saw it coming a mile off, but they didn't have anything on him and couldn't bring themselves to just kill the guy. Anyway, they needed the advice of a revered Lama who had put the Ahnenerbe on the right trail 2 years earlier. The spy however managed to bribe/blackmail another monk into hiding the Lama under false pretenses just as the party entered Lhasa. They used documentation by a Nepalese spy to reconstruct the movements of Ahnenerbe and find the way to their secret target: Shangri-La.
