Hey /tg/ Anons.
Has anyone tried putting stats on Saitama from OPM yet?
Can his power even be quantified, or should he remain stat-less?
I believe you're looking for this thread you started earlier.
>>44643469
Saitama is one of those things that you just don't stat.
Unplayable games thread.
>>44672709
I have always wanted to play this but nobody else does.
Maybe I should run a Wraith Quest.
>>44672741
It puts too much work on the DM, due to the whole shadow thing for each player, and how abstract the mechanics are in general.
>>44672780
You could drop the Shadow and still have a great game.
Are there other social justice classes? We have the Social Justice Warrior, who ignores all outside input and attacks people blindly, but what role do the other classes hold?
Is the SJCleric the one that adds onto someone else's argument and agrees with the warrior? Is the SJRogue the one that silently reports pages? Is the SJPaladin the one that constantly justifies their shitty behaviour in the name of Social Justice? What's the role of a SJ Ranger? I can't even bear to mind the abilities of a social justice BardDo they all have negative points in Charisma?
>>44671908
They also have a negative wisdom and intelligence score.
>>44671908
The Social Justice Necromancer constantly resurrects dead arguments and brings back shit that happened a long, long time in the past, using it as evidence society is unjust today.

Tell us about the languages in your settings /tg/.
Do you go with the usual Common, Dwarfish Elvish etc.?
Or does each major culture have their own tongue, resulting in multiple human, dwarf, elf, orc etc. languages?
What about dialects and regional variations?
If you're not in Generic Fantasy Land, what other species and languages are there in your setting?
Any interesting idioms and expressions you thought of that you/ your players actually use?
Bumping with a question, before I go to sleep.
Have any of you ever written a conlang?
I haven't, I'm afraid.
>>44671434
In my settings Common is secretly Esperanto.

If turnamancers can create self-moving vehicles and dirtamancers can improve cities and city features, I can make cities that automatically manage themselves for the production/$$$ bonus without having an assigned warlord? Or would the conveyor belts and robots associated just increase the bonus being managed gave? Either way, that'd be a huge benefit to a side to just have ongoing, so I could be doing useful shit with my units instead of having to idle to budget.

Of all the Social Darwinist societies one of the best takes on them is the Neimoidians from Star Wars. Basically Neimodians raise their young in large communal hatcheries giving them limited food while forcing them to fight over it for the first few years of their lives. Those that survive this process were fearful of deprivation and death and so tended towards greed, ruthlessness in dealings along with an aversion to putting themselves into harms way.

>>44670932
Well, if you can pester your GM to let you have a Flarestar, and stat the whole party as Duros doctors and biologists, you can make your Star Wars campaign about ayy lmaos going around probing everything and everyone.
>>44670526
what once-barely-canon-now-nothing-EU source are you getting this from? Last time I checked all the Neimoidians were is greys with comically bad droid armies and vaguely racist accents.

The Malifaux rulebook is probably a good start. Official art and such. The setting also has elements that pretty much rip off Deadlands (and do their own thing with them to be fair) so try looking at that also.

I ran this in high school and college, mostly Marienburg back then and then a few adventures in 2nd edition in 2005. We had a lot of fun with 1st edition but 2nd didn't last long despite the fact that it was a much tighter design. If I was going to run this again I would not use either 1e or 2e, but would use Runequest 6 for the rules, and create sorcery and battle magic schools. RQ just has a much better combat system and XP/advancement is easy. What would be lost is the career advancement system, which is sad but it could be bolted on to RQ with a bit of work (you basically pre-select your RQ career choices if you pick a career.

Right, that's enough weird for today.
"If everyone's al-- let's go home"
"Did you not wish to look around further, Lady Maria?" I shake my head, Eriadne's eyes going from blue to dark blue dotted with gold. It's so nice to look at, not strange at all if you get used to it a little more. I wonder if she could. like, draw hearts on it or somethi- what. I glance at Liliana, but no there's nothing of that to be seen here. Anyways.
"Uhm, maybe, but we've like been here for a while and that mushroom thingy is probably not here". She smiles. She really SHOULD do that more often-- she's not smiling because I totally messed up that sentence is she? Eeep, need to get rid of these though--
-will give support/power if wanted/required/accepted-
--just like that, they're gone, the sudden calm inside my head feeling every bit like that of a quiet spring morning. Right, that's…not bad.
-welcome/permitted/accepted?-
I give what I hope is *only* a mental nod, turning my attention outside. Hey, don't question a free meal, right?
"As you say, then". My friend nods curtly, beginning to almost /glide/ down the way we came. Hey, don't you…never mind. I'm almost jealous how she can go from one thing to another just like that. Like she never even doubts anything, and once she's decided that's where here heart is.
With a frown, Evangelyne gathers up the two clerics - what's Liliana so pleased about anyways - and moves to follow, with Sora, the twins and I bringing up the rear. Uuuh, I kinda want to be in front and make sure there's no danger, but… the foreigner coughs.

Has anyone had an idea for a board game before and tried to develop it?
What would be the best way to do so?
>>44627902
I’ve always wanted to design board games but I have lots of problems in the early prototyping stage that I never get past. I went into the new Game Design General thinking there would be stuff about board game design, but it’s mostly RPG homebrew. Honestly, if you’re interested in it, I’d recommend the subreddit /r/tabletopgamedesign.
Aside from the $500 I'm into KD:M, my next highest total is for BattleCON. I'm sitting around $140 for that, and I still need to buy Devastation + Extended. I'm still debating buying Claus and Windall from their online store, but $14 for a single character is fucking steep.
If I could afford it, I'd buy The Queen's Gambit, but I think the new version will have to do.
I'm in for quite a bit. At a quick guess, I'd say I'm close to $1000 (excluding KD:M).

Valkyrie.
I would like to hear from FFG as to why there are no stats for one proper instead of a cargo variant, especially in OW.
>>44608714
My Shipfu is definitely a Gun-Cutter. It's all snug and portable and just about as devastating as a Valkyrie but with a lot more utility.
A question my players will pick up on immediately. What sort of stuff would the Ordo Chronos be packing? Our Inquisitor time travelled and he's evaded the time-police thus far, but they'll catch him soon and I'd like for the encounter to be memorable and unique so I don't want everyone to have hellguns and plasma pistols and be wearing carapace armour. But I can't think of anything beyond "Stasis grenades"

Sonic screwdrivers
>playing tabletop RPG, having a good time
>"I'm a better roleplayer than this other guy, so I should be rewarded with more mechanical bonuses and NPC contacts! I don't want to play at all if it's not a contest!"
Why is this attitude so common? Why can't roleplayers just have fun creating a story and contribute as much as they're capable of?
>>44694494
Because people are shitty.
I feel you. On a related note:
>player roleplays out a long, very convincing argument to an npc about why exactly they should do the thing, very well-acted
>rolls a 2, char not built for diplomancy
>DM: Okay, I'm gunna give you a bonus because that was too well-roleplayed to just be a 2, he agrees with you and does the thing
>A different player has a character built for diplomancy, wants to roleplay the party face and negotiator and stuff, but is not very good at roleplaying
>Stumbles through a vague argument on why the npc should do the thing, stutters through it, meh roleplaying
>rolls an 18
>DM: okay, that was a high roll, but your in-character argument was really weak and not convincing at all, you still fail.
FUCK. This isn't even a problem i have and it makes me mad. You are effectively prohibiting people who aren't that good at roleplaying from ever playing a diplo/persuasion-based character! And if i'm such a good roleplayer, why should i ever invest in those skills? If you want your in game argument to be the deciding factor, go play a roleplay-heavy system that supports that!
>>44694780
I wholeheartedly agree
