What classes do we not see enough BBEGs of? What is one you want to see?
I was thinking of how I don't have any examples of Bard BBEGs.
Rangers.

Bards mainly buff other people, so rarely are they main villains.
Welcome rudebois and rudegyals to the latest edition of Star Wars A New Quest,
Last time on the short edition of STANQ; You woke up in a monster girl prison with a slightly mentally off roommate, acted like top dog in the yard despite being a small fry in a limiter collar, started fights with a rat, some giantesses, and some harpies, before being shock collared, waking up in your cell, electing to have half of your room mates leftovers instead of going cafeteria, and that's where we left off.

"No worries you couldn't get extra food bro, what's that you're reading by the way?"
"A history of this planet for non monster prisoners to understand etiquette, something you could surely use"
"Why?"
"These aren't people amigo, they're savages, tribals, until the empire landed here, they were still behaving like ewoks, throwing pointy sticks and rocks at each other"
"All of them?"
"Hell harpies would drop rocks and use claws but I digress, each clan would have their own heirarchy, the giants have their queen who as of right now remains uncaptured, but her princess daughter is top dog, the harpies have their matriarch, the lamias have their grand council, only 2 of the 9 being in here, and so on and so forth."
"Sounds complicated"
"Listen up pendjedo" your Bith roommate announces, "Don't start fights, the warden dropped two extra packs of rations here as protection money since you probably got jacked yesterday, I took one since we're roomies and you owe me, and information like i'm giving right now isn't free either"
"So, these are savages, hardly any men, why are they so hard to woo?"
"You tried wooing them? Which ones?"
"The red giant and the harpy matriarch"
"So you tried fucking the leaders of the gang and expected it done in one afternoon? This aren't some zeltron putas, these are bosses"
"Huh, what about martial arts?"
"The monsters only know grappling, striking is not of much use to learn, but if you get friendly wiht a sith prison guard, that's extra help and they could teach you"

You are still in the surgical suite. There are medical instruments scattered around the room, and an automatic surgeon machine hunches menacingly over the operating table. It is still set into remote operation mode.
The corpse you are dragging behind you is starting to creep you out a little.

What alignment is Raiden at the end of Metal Gear Rising after his character development of realizing he likes to kill people?
Chaotic Neutral with Good leanings.
>>44720820
Enjoying killing doesn't make you automatically evil. See Punisher. Although he does have that Jack the Ripper persona...
He's also fairly lawful. He does do black ops stuff but he doesn't run around cutting down random innocent people.
>>44720820
Raiden encompasses all alignments, with the story of Metal Gear Rising being a story of his ascension to bodhisattva.
imagine this, a werewolf centaur PC. it has a werewolf's torso, but instead of normal horse body below, it has a giant wolf body. thoughts on this?
>>44719986
Interesting/10
>>44719986
Well, he's "part man-part horse". But then he goes werebeast and becomes "part man-part wolf" or he is always "part man-part wolf"? because if he's always "part man-part wolf" he is not a werewolf, but only a centaur rip-off.

>giant wolf body
You mean a warg?
Waking up in a dirty alleyway with nothing but the clothes on your back in the middle of winter in an alleyway that you most certainly don't recognize would be scary for anyone. It's probably a bit worse when you also don't
remember anything about yourself aside from your name, and how old you think you might be.
Hell you aren't even sure about the name thing, everythnig is a little fuzzy right about now.
Picking yourself up off the ground, that new stance didn't last too long as your head started pounding with the worst pain you'd ever felt, amnesia or not. Falling back to your knees, you begin clutching at your head in a feeble attempt to make the pain stop, at least for a moment. What lasted for really only about thirty seconds felt more along the lines of several hours.
It feels like every molecule of your being is on fire, screaming for relief from the hell that you're experiencing, finally uable to hold it back anymore, you tear your hand off of your head and smash it into the ground in front of you, having nearly gone mad from the pain. When the concrete gives way to your hand, being broken to pieces by the blow, the pain finally starts to die down.
That wasn't normal.
You had felt no pain from doing that, let alone the strength that seemed to have come from nowhere being quite a surprise. Your hand was fine as well, having no visible cuts or bruises from punching the ground.
Weird.
>>44719842
The pain that you had been feeling up until now was fading away, until finally you felt 'normal' aside from the hunger in your gut, screaming at you to find something to eat and to do it quickly. Whoever you are, well, maybe that answer can wait until you've managed to get some food in your belly.

Planning to run this list soon.
Would you have fun playing against it?
Would you table it in 2 turns?
>>44719458
>Would you table it in two turns?
Nah, need time for reserves to arrive on both sides, and the Knight is basically an entire turn to itself.
Make it three.
Does the average chapter have to rigidly adhere to having a 1000 marines? Or could recruitment and companies spread out across various systems on various duties mean that by necessity they have to have anywhere up to a company of marines extra?
>>44718409
Most chapter hover around plus or minus 100 I think.
>>44718409
Not rigidly, just around that number to ensure no one chapter master is having direct command and interaction with to many marines in case he becomes corrupted.
If the Chaptee is a bunch of rules lawyering faggots, that 1000-marine rule technically only includes infantry, not tank crews, pilots, or support units like Apothecaries or Librarians. So a chapter that wanted to be both overstrength and codex compliant could request a shitload of Rhinos, Preds, fighters, and other vehicles and shove all their excess into drivers and support types.
Do we really need the charisma stat or social interaction skills in RPGs? Do they really accomplish anything that can't be solved by a bit of back-and-forth with the GM?
Maybe.
I dunno.
I always saw charisma as another possible option for some encounters. I mean it can get pretty boring if every encounter was just go from A to B, kill guys, rinse and repeat. Plus watching people roll shitty on bluff checks can be fucking hilarious when they to recover from fucking up.
Is it possible to make Ogres threatening as in main or secondary villains like Orcs? How would you do it?
>>44717272
Make them rapists. They don't just want to kill you, they want to pervert the pure human bloodline and breed abominations.
>>44717272
A Single ogre can threaten a hamlet.
A Pair of Ogres can threaten a village
A Gang of Ogres can threaten a township
An army of Ogres can threaten a nation.
A kingdom of Ogres threatens the world.
Don't let Ogres make kingdoms.

In a city steeped in history and blood, a single police detective works to fight back the constant and unyielding tide of crime and injustice. With gun in hand, he fights an endless war against the dark intentions of his fellow man, both mortal and immortal. Your goal, not to save this world of ever wrestling morality, but to bring justice to the victims, and save one life at a time. If you can make it another day, and if you can solve another case, you can sleep knowing you cleaned up one spot of filth, no matter how small.
The quest will begin when you have chosen your form.
Votes will decide most choices, and most choices will consist of some multiple choice and a write in option.

Human: The natural occupants of this world, and the most numerous. You will be afforded greater opportunity and financial advantage due to your perceived weakness when compared to the types of criminals you will be asked to take on. Humans have little supernatural affinity, but in rare cases have been known to perform feats that put them on par with more dangerous forms of life.
Construct: Once made from clay, stone, or wood, modern homunculi are usually wrought from steel. While nearly all of them are subservient machines, a small percentage achieve self-awareness, and are permitted civil rights by the government. You will be seen as a second class citizen, but your nearly indestructible body will make the pain easier to bare.
Dhampir: The result of a cross-breeding of human and a creature of the night. Feature a nearly human appearance, and the ability to subsist on blood as well as charm others. If you are discovered, many will ostracize you, but many will also praise your bravery.
Skeleton: Ancient beings created by magic long forgotten. Feared by some, skeletons are nonetheless brilliant sources of ancient knowledge and wisdom. Sadly, many mortal pleasure are lost to them.
Half-Breed: An unholy union of a demon or devil and a mortal. Though physically capable to the point of absurdity, they often have a hard time battling their baser instincts. Many have risen to prominence, but almost none have done so without violence.
>>44716315
>Construct
Let's be the oppressed citizen that protects everyone.
>>44716315
Humans will begin with a large cash advantage, Dhampirs with connections to local pillars, Constructs with contacts in the slums, Skeletons with ancient knowledge, and Half-Breeds with enemies in the underground
Are Orks who worship chaos gods possible? Wanted to create an Ork army who worshiping Nurgle.
>>44715005
There have been instances of Orks mistaking a statue of Nurgle for Gork/Mork because it was green. As long as you can come up with a decent reason for it, Orks can fit nearly any idea.
Yes. There is a picture of Nurgle-tainted Orks in the Daemonhunters codex.

Well, we had a Genestealer Cult aligned with Khorn, but that was a long time ago.
/tlg/ - Tiny Leaders General
Best format every edition.
im currently running kira but i need another general to switch out to any ideas? something control-y would be nice
>>44714871
Finally, a place to discuss this format!
Everybody I know doesn't play anymore because the format was founded on a gimmick that didn't justify itself being separate from EDH.
>>44714944
Well, friend, I have a couple ideas.
If you want pure control, Barrin is your guy.
However, if you would like to really switch it up and go mill for a bit, Laquatus is great.
Cheers.
Which system has the worst grappling rules?
All of the ones that have grappling rules.
>>44714571
3.PF and all those that build off that foundation. Too abstract to satisfy the crunchy detail crowd, too slow and complicated to satisfy the roll-and-shout gamist/narrativists crowd. It fails on both approaches.
>>44714571
Probably FATAL, since you risk accidentally raping your grapple target to death every time.
Your physical training for your magic isn't going well. You've spent weeks straining yourself, only to find minor improvements in your abilities, but you think you have a solution.
What you need is a focus. Power is shaped by will and understanding, you know that already. Well understanding comes only with time and age, as well the Elders have taught your clan, but power and will... The crystals hold power and when you create a magical artefact, it never runs dry, so perhaps you can eke a little extra power from the crystal dust Ebba saved when you carved the statue for Nila? Further, by shaping something to work magic with, you channel your will into it... Perhaps you might yet make something worthwhile from this? Inspired, you set to work. Sera assists you by finding a length of wood suitable for a spear, but you have something different in mind. Little by little, you scrape and carve, whittling the top into something that fits. All power comes from the gods, so you set to work on their likeness.
Deciding on the gods to honour is hard. All have traits worth their praise and if you left any off, they may be offended... In the end, you carve down the shaft, notching their likeness into the wood. Ulh's watchful hawk head; Lugal's antlered, regal form; Ursa's strength; Soqed's predatory grin...You leave none out, even if your blindness ensures they are not perfect copies. Sera and Ebba, thankfully, find the time to help correct you, acting as your eyes, when your touch fails you.
>>44714481
Once the staff is carved, you mix the crystal dust with ash from the fire and a little water, making a crude paint and trust Ebba to help you apply it just right. She picks out scales, eyes, claws, teeth and horns, so that they sparkle and gleam in the light. It takes you a long time, but finally, you can feel the power of the result. Next to the Fool's Solace, you can't help but feel it is lacking, but it still has plenty of power. The difference is minor but perceptible; you have created the first tool for magic. Magic has permeated the wood as well. It's strong and resilient, far more so than any lesser wood. Not unbreakable perhaps, but much less prone to sundering all the same.
You have created a Fine Shaman's Staff! This staff adds +2 to any roll to cast shamanic magic or invoke the gods of the wild. It is also highly durable.

How much food do we have? If we bring land at late spring it still is enough to harvest right?
>>44714666
Correct! You currently have enough to last you until early summer and then feed three of your family until midsummer
Planting currently occurs in late spring (mostly because no-one wants to get their ass in gear in early spring) and harvest is in late fall. If you cultivate land this turn, it'll count for this year's harvest.
