>the druid who takes assassination jobs look like they were wild animal attacks and hunting accidents
>the priest who does backalley healings on prominent members of the criminal underworld to fund their corrupt church
Both of those are great.
The thief who steals.
standard: $300-$700 for cards that rotate out in 6 months
Modern: $500-$3500 for a deck that will never rotate out
Commander: $500-$2500 for a singleton format aimed at being fun and casual.
Standard cards start out around $60 at release, to jump down to 20$ in 3 months time.
Cards jumping 500%-5000% when there is even a slight hint that people might want them or are already overplayed staple cards.
Face facts, there is something wrong with the economy of this game.

Before you ask, yes I do work, but the problem is that this game which is nothing more than cardstock and ink shouldn't be limited to people who can shit out 2000$ on a whim.
That could pay for:
A smart tv.
Down payment on a car (or a shitty car)
First and last months rent.
Paying off credit card debt
Appliances like fridges stoves washers and dryers.
Home repair.
College/univeristy shit.
A fuck ton of weed.
A vacation on a boat or to a casino.
But no, lets spend it on cardboard.
You jelly poor fag, lol can't even afford what i have (which is really rare BTW, just so you know)

Abigail's hands begin to shake on your cheeks, and she sniffles.
"You're... you're really okay, right?" She asks.
"Yeah, I'll be fine" You say.
She plants her head into your chest, and you hear muffled sobs.
"What's wrong?" You ask.
"I thought..." *hic* "I thought I'd lost you..."
"Come on, I wouldn't go down to something like that" You say.
"But you w-" She pauses, and sighs. "Yeah... I guess you're a bit tougher than that" She lifts her head off your chest and rubs her eyes.
You raise an eyebrow at her.
It's not really a matter of toughness... You honestly could have just died there, and it wouldn't have mattered.

She's distraught. No need to make her feel stupid too.

If the two unknown legions were purged like some say, what the hell could they have done that was worse than the World Eaters and Night Lords? What would have happened if they were purged instead?

There is no Civ General
Seems to be a lot of them popping up now days. Some of them are even pretty good.
Feel free to discuss and share civs.

Why would you need that incomplete image with awfully stretched images, when all those races are on the classic image?
Also, the last two civ generals died a silent dead, so I don't think we actually need this one.

Hey /tg/, this Friday I'm planning on getting together with some friends and playing a campaign I'm making based on The Thing (not to be confused with Ben).
Problem is, I'm not sure what I should be doing with the campaign. Should I just do a re-hash of the movie, or maybe I should detract a little bit? My original idea was that since it's Call Of Cthulhu, if the original PCs get wiped out, the second part of the act comes into play, where I planned to have a few months go by before a rescue team is sent out to investigate what has happened at this Antarctic Research Base.
Any thoughts or ideas you think you could throw my way?

We had a thing monster in a game. It was pretty cool and scary at first but eventually ruined by magical realm. One thing to keep in mind, is that the thing can infect animals, like birds for example.

Honestly, I'd run a game based on the scrapped sequel series:

“I had our finest craftsmen make this weapon, and my Celestines and I blessed it personally.” The Canoness beamed proudly as she handed over the Bolter, “it is nothing more than a humble offering as thanks for your and your chapter’s defense of our homeworld.” Not for the first time, the Chapter Master of the Angels Sanguine was thankful for his face-concealing helmet. The worship of the Primarch Sanguinus as an Imperial Saint had long been a cause of some embarrassment to the Blood Angels (and much consternation to the Iron Hands), but the Sisterhood of Saint Sanguinus were on an entirely different level. Monuments to the Primarch blanketed their homeworld, his visaged adored every chapel, coin, and hab-door, and the sisters themselves incorporated the blood-tear into their fleur-de-lis. “And for you,” he replied, “My chainsword, wielded by every Master of our Chapter since the time of the Scouring, thank you for fighting by our side.” The Cannoness’ face lit up as crimson as her robe, try as she might to contain herself, she could not suppress a small squeal of delight as she touched the weapon. “Mayyouwalkalwaysintheemperor’slightIhopewemeetagainsomeday,” she stammered out, before blushing and hurrying back to her sisters.
>>44731122
On his battle barge, the Chapter Master considered the gift with his techmarines. ”Should we give it to a Scout, milord? It IS expertly made.” The Chapter Master betrayed no hint of emotion as he took in the craftsmanship of the weapon.
“Hmm,”
his eyes gazed down the length of the barrel, to the trigger, and then to the stock
“Hmm?”
where an exquisitely carved scene of Sanguinius fighting demons had been embossed in gold.
“Oh,”
the skill of the artist was beyond question, and great care had even been taken in the accuracy of the Crusade era armor and weapons. Sanguinus himself dominated the image, his blade having just bisected the foul demon Ka'Bandha, his left hand crushing the skull of a Bloodcrusher, and his piercing blue eyes looking with determination at the unholy horde before him.
“Uhh,”
Sanguinus’s golden hair flowed for nearly a meter behind his head, its silken strands unblemished by the grind of battle. Nor was any piece of his body besmirched, save for his hand now covered in demonic blood. His toned chest was broad and muscular, with the dark pattern of the Black Carapace visible beneath it. His strong, powerful thighs stood proudly upon a mountain of defeated demons, his left buttcheek shone brightly in the sunlight
“Hmm”
as his semi-erect penis hung down nearly a foot between his legs.
Clearly it was of expert craftsmanship, yes, but just as clearly his entire chapter would be the laughingstock of other Astartes were one of his brothers to wield it in battle.
“Contact the Temple of Holy Relics, tell them we’ve discovered a blessed artifact that we’d like to give them.”
It was a lovely present though.

Thread flavour: How do you like your HTR teams? Ded killy, bigger trenchcoats than the players, or twirling moustache villains?
We've been doing a practice session for our upcoming campaign, which will be the first time most of us have played shadowrun. This happened in the second practice session.
>the hacker, a dwarf going by Technoviking (in all three senses of the word), has hobo with a shotgun quality, opts to sleep outside other player's apartment after doing some hacking at their place
>awaken to the sound of a screaming viking yelling at the rest of us to get downstairs to fight the devil
>walk out of apartment door to see a half naked dwarf only wearing Securetech PPP (Protect People's Privates) wielding an axe and facing down a devil rat on the sidewalk
>wat
>watch the dwarf fail to hit the rat for a couple passes, he doesn't even have 10 dice against the rat's 10 R+I
>recap: a mostly naked techno viking is fighting a rat with an axe in broad daylight in renton
>fuggit, put a round in the rat, and at the same time, the rigger fires up a rotodrone to put a burst in too
>the techno revels in his victory, removes any traces of bullet wounds with his axe, severs the head, and punts it back into the alley
>scream of elation
>GM asks for perception test, everybody swivels around and spots the schoolgirl behind the techno just recording everything on her commlink
>me with my gun and trenchcoat, the rat exploding, and the mostly naked techno
>the techno loses his composure, just yells his warcry at her
>she screams and runs away
>nearly gets hit by fourth teammate who lived nearby and was arriving by scoot
>techno doesnt feel like chasing, goes into VR to brick her commlink
>hurray ASIST
>face plants into the dead rat
>crashes the girl's commlink, corrupts the live stream she was broadcasting
>P2.0 now has a trending video of some lunatic viking impersonator mutilating a rat, then falling into it for some reason
Houses are important, you guys.
>>44724312
And from another perspective...
>be me
>skipping school because it is SO lame
>naked dude gets chased out of an alley by a devil rat
>oh shit time for some viral video money
>start filming as he completely fails to hit the rat
>some woman walks out of the apartment building, stares, then shoots the rat
>the viking dude goes mental, hacking at the rat
>kicks the head into the alley, does a victory dance like he just scoreda goal
>Oh fuck video of the year
>viking looks up from the rat
>looks in my direction
>looks at me
>oh drek
>viking screams at me like an animal
>turn around to run, some fucking asshole nearly runs me over on a scoot
>what kind of grown man rides a scoot?
>run away, filming while I run
>get home, find out my link is trashed, video corrupted!
>piece of drek sony
>top P2.0 for the next week
>so what link do I get now
>How do you like your HTR teams? Ded killy, bigger trenchcoats than the players, or twirling moustache villains?
My HTR teams vary based on the corp, but I'm actually pretty hype about the Augmented Special Tactics Division of Knight Errant that I'm working on. Small division of biocompatible Knight Errant officers, loaded up with muscle replacements, reaction enhancers, and dermal armor, then trained by the high-tier prime runner team that KE keeps on payroll (eventual antagonists depending on how things go down) to operate specifically against runner teams. Matrix-heavy, magic-light, and ded killy against major targets.
The division's just starting to form as of my campaign opening, so they won't be a factor for quite a while. A few runs will either weaken or strengthen the base that I've got for them.
