What does tg think of The Beast Arises series so far? I read IAS, and just ordered book 2.

My thoughts
>IF could have used better characterization
>Bolter porn was a little bland since the chromes were such a weak foe.

You have to admit you didn't quite expect Tahenohan to be learned in the art of cheesemaking. She gave very little indication of being able to do that, and you have to wonder where and how she learned it, though she certainly had a long and interesting enough life to still have plenty hidden up her somewhat wide necromancer's sleeves.

She has you help her fetch large iron bins full of fresh enough milk. You couldn't help but ask her where she got those since there's not quite enough cattle in New Royo to warrant such a supply and you don't think this is goat milk, even though you do have goats around the place. Apparently this shipment came from Maner just yesterday, along with several news from the front, most of which seem to be idle gossip or weird rumours. You have to wonder if it's because the Royal Army is keeping its mouth as shut as possible to avoid spreading panic, which is understandable considering the recent undead scare, or if the Shadow Marches really are that peaceful.

Almost bordering on boring, you'd say, though there's no way that a war would bring anything but suffering, and you didn't exactly come here to get that.

Thanks to the charcoal and the help of plenty of dry grass and twigs to use as combustible and firestarter, you and Tahenohan heat up the stone tanks and you follow her directions, which mostly consist in stirring slowly with a large wooden pad and waiting for a "clean break". You're not sure what that means, and you're not sure what she added to the milk either, but she occasionally breaks the surface with her finger, though she doesn't seem to be quite satisfied yet. She is also very careful about the temperature and often checks the fire, either stoking it or waiting for it to die down, and having you stir faster or harder if she deems the temperature too high.

Which 2 do you choose as your protectors? They are loyal and they hang out with you. You start out at home with your protectors. Whether you stay there or scram and go into hiding is up to you.

I am playing a necromancer in D&D 5e. How can I hide necromancy? Cause in the current setting necromancy is seen as evil. Stuff like not casting certain in front of paladin or keeping spells in a separate boo.

Approximately every 10 minutes, I will post an update. I will also ask for a next action to take, and/or a die roll. The first reply that makes sense for the situation (making it clear that you read the latest update) and provides ALL the requested info, will be used to determine the next update. >Evil events have overtaken your Northlands Kingdom. Your father, the old king, is dead - assassinated by rivals to the throne. These usurpers now hold the palace with their mercenary royal guard. You have escaped, and must collect 500 gold pieces to raise a force to smash them and retake your heritage. Furthermore, the usurpers have powerful friends overseas they have summoned. If you can’t return and claim victory in ten weeks, their allies will arrive and you will lose your kingdom forever.

>To escape the mercenary royal guard, your loyal servant Ogab smuggled you into a merchant caravan to the southern border. At dawn you roll out of the merchant wagons into a ditch, dust off your clothes, loosen your swordbelt, and get ready to start the first day of your adventure.

At the start of each day, one primary goal/action for your party is decided. Possible actions you may take include:
• Travel to a new hex (the most common action)
• Rest in current hex, to heal wounds and improve hunting
• Create a cache of items, or search for a previously placed cache
• Seek news and information (in a town, castle, or temple)
• Seek to hire followers (in a town or castle)
• Seek an audience with the local lord (in a town, castle or temple)
• Submit an offering (at a temple)

A wind blows over our slightly broken ship, as most of the crew, including myself and Ochamu and Yotshi, gather at the front of it, trying to get a good look at the pier with the four pirate ships docked at it, gently bobbing up and down in the waves. No one is talking, either because they're too shocked, or judging by the massive cloud of fear gathering above us, scared. I sigh and tilt my cap down, grabbing it by the bite mark in it's lip, smirking.

"Well, we can't just charge up the staircase" Captain sighs, rubbing his chin in front of the rest of us "They'll know we'll be coming, and could hurt the innocents on the island, and we can't just shell the place either for the same reason"

He groans, grabbing where a piece of railing used to be for a few second, before looking down it, as the fat marine with chains wrapped around his arms walk up to him and grins.

"Good, I see you've been reading that book of yours, now...I think if we got some ropes, hooks and a few brave men we could scale the cliff walls and infiltrate without drawing to much attention to ourselves" He says, leaning over the side as Ginegin slowly turns back to me, his lips curling up as he slowly begins to grin, his shark like teeth glinting in the sunshine.

"Aye...we could do that, Or we could just" he says flatly as he reaches towards me, I feel a chill down my spine "Oh don't worry, you know I have AN EXCELLENT THROWING ARM ADELA"

"Ginegin...no" the fat marine says lazily, not even bothering to turn around

Today was your first day as a student at the University in the shining coastal city of Crimson Beach, NH. You've been here just long to learn your way around Uptown, Downtown and College Town. You know, the places you're actually likely to go to.

Its been a pretty great first day. Picked up your first semester classes' curriculum papers and met the professors running the show as well as a few classmates that showed up. On top of that, your roommate dropped before classes started, so now you have a dorm room all to yourself. How lucky!

Its been sunny and warm, but not as baking as August days tend to be. It feels like maybe Fall might begin a little early this year. Now if only someone would tell the gnats that have been swarming around your face for the last 30 seconds. You swat at them uselessly for a second before giving up and just dealing with it. Hey... what's with that panel van all alone in the center of the parking lot?

You approach it. It looks like its seen better days and seems like the kind of van that would be reported instantly if it were within 200 yards of an elementary school. See as no one else on campus seems to think this thing is sketchy, it must've been here for a while. Though to you it looks like whoever parked it here won't be able to move it again. The door handles on all of the doors have been either broken or removed. Another thing that perceive while examining the sliding door is a digital beeping noise. It kind of reminds you of 24. You know with the timer in between segments that was counting... down. oh.
