that girls cannot be cool. "That x" implies an asshole. Assholes are not cool.
How do you go about making fun and interesting androgynous villains?
Mention that they have a slender body type, have a soft neutral voice, and never give them a he/she pronoun.
Basically make Griffith.
PROTIP: Not like Tetsuya Nomura

Editi unfreezes, but before she can act on her words Tam throw up her hand, shaking her head violently, the pain now finally catching up with her. Her stuttered breathing grows heavier and more sporadic.
"Go."
"DO NOT take me with you."
Tam's words fall upon the relatively disinterested and unenthused Turtle, who beings to walk away and leave - no longer intent on waiting for the mission's inevitable end, paired with back pats and brownie points.
Editi's avatar spurs.
"No."
"You're coming with me. Dead or alive."
Tommy chimes in.
"You know I won't leave you behind."
As Tommy and Editi continue addressing the fallen Tam, Takeda remains uncertain of what to do. Call command? Involve himself? Detach from the situation like Turtle? There wasn't much of an answer to the situation.
Tommy makes a final call out to the rest of the team.
"Oh, guys. Tam is going full X-com Eldar. We're taking her back."

“So what do you say?” you ask.
You and your crew have been gathered in one of the huts in the little Kaleesh village in the shadow of Fearghus’ palace. The Kaleesh were outside, celebrating the victory with ceremonial dance and song around the bonfire. While you were invited to feast and to dance with them, business must come first. And right now your business was with Fearghus. He rubs his chin, pensive. Vikker leans forward. “Listen, Fearghus, we just drove off those droids for you. We made things easy on you, no reason that Nauti-whatshisface is gonna send more just to rub out some no name place like this. Not unless he really was serious about destroying you all.”
“I am aware,” says Fearghus. “Very well. Let me tell you what happened. I was approached by Echani mercenaries in his employ, much like your friend here.” He motions to Whisper, who is carefully examining the head of a D-Wing. “They offered me 50,000 credits to have an important piece of cargo called the Force Harvester moved through hutt channels to another destination. And so I did, but to be sure I would be silent, they threatened me and the village with destruction should I divulge these details.” He looks clearly uncomfortable even telling you now.
“What else can you tell us?” you say.
“I called in my last favors with what hutts still tolerated me to have it moved. I didn’t tell them what it was, but they clearly were getting horrific feelings from it like I did,” he explains. “They moved it to the Outer Rim. To the Vahaba asteroid fields.”
“Vahaba?” Vikker blinks, grinding his tusks together.
“You know the place?” you ask.

“Used to be a big Alderaanian trader out there. Mined ores and fabricated metals. Then they got too greedy for their own good and became pirates. They’re so heavily armed out in that field that even the Empire doesn’t go near there unless in force.” he says. “What do a bunch of miners want with cargo that heavy?”
“I don’t know,” says Fearghus. “But that is all I know, I swear. The Echani were very clear to keep things on the downlow. Whatever they have in that asteroid field is out of my reach.” Fair enough, you wouldn’t expect a hutt who thinks he’s a Kaleesh to understand the importance of mining.”
“Vik.” He turns his head to you. “I think we need to accept that maybe our good friend Nautilus has managed to get into the Vahaban miners’ good graces and now they’re working for him. For all we know, that’s how he can afford to get all of these droids and mod them out like this.” Vikker nods slowly, then shakes his head in disappointment. “Listen, Fearghus, thanks for the information.”
“Yes, yes, of course,” he says. “You’re sure the droids will not be back?”
“I’m sure,” you say as you stand up. “We ought to get going. Maybe we can still catch the Harvester there before it moves again. Or better yet, maybe the Vahaba asteroid field is his base of operations.” You look over at Fearghus. “Listen, Fearghus, I don’t suppose you have any friends I can buy parts and scraps from?”
“Oh?” He tilts his head. “Well… I mean, there is one person.”

“Rhys!” Jennis D’Leer is quickly to hug you and kiss you on the cheek. “Aw, my baby! Haha!” She hangs onto you, motioning to the wrecks of all the Tri-droids, D-Wings, and Vultures shot down over the battle. “What are ya doin’ here?”
Fearghus clears his throat. “He needed someone that was selling things.”
“Oh?” Jennis lifts up her goggles, dropping out of your arms and looking around. “Well, I mean-…” She rubs her neck, sticking her tongue out a bit. “Yeah, I guess I’m selling stuff. I’m not entirely sure what you’d want with old Tri-droids. I’m just breaking things down for parts right now.”
“What about me selling things to you?” you ask.
“Oh, now, Rhys.” She holds up her hands. “I’m ain’t a Muun, sweetie, I ain’t made of money. I can’t buy things, it’s why I’m a scavvy.” She motions to your droids currently warding off some very desperate scavvers. “Now your droids though…”
“Back, back!” yells R5. R2 cowers behind R3 as they wield their weapons, trying to ward away the greedy and hungry scavvers looking to make a quick credit off of a functional astromech. “Back I say, you filthy hooligans!” R3 immediately slices on the chest with his buzzsaw, sending him to the ground in pain. The others immediately flee when it’s clear the droids are putting up a fight.
Jennis crosses her arms. “I don’t have much to sell I’m afraid, but I suppose I can give you a look around my wares if you want.”
> “I’ll see what you have anyway, Jennis.”
> “On second thought, maybe I’ll pass.”

aww yeah SW:FHQ this and banished quest make for a good day this is a great quest
After conquering the nearest city, your small empire has become sturdy enough to be more or less self sufficient. The farmers grow enough food, and the merchants, though hard pressed without outside trade, have adjusted to the point that the local economy is stable. What's more, your lieutenants have made full recoveries, and are excited to hold a ritual so dark and evil, only the truly demented dare partake in it's fiendish rites. A morning meeting.
You sit at the head of the conference table. At your right is Vanessa, you're beautiful and manipulative daughter, who gives you a heart shaped card every father's day. On your left is Duncan, the brown-nosing assassin who has made attempts and failures to follow in your footsteps. As Duncan shuffles a stack of papers addressing the more mundane topics of evil rule, Vanessa moves on to more interesting business.
"As you know, Daddy, Marigold is a bit of a stand out in the minion pool. As much as I hate to say it, I recommend promoting her. I think if the minions see opportunities for advancement based on performance, it will motivate them to go above and beyond."
"Yes, well, that's all good in theory." Duncan's voice is as effeminate as ever. "But it might also lead to sabotage and infighting. I think it's best to keep the minions on a tight leash, so as not to inspire ambition amongst them."
Ultimately, it's your call. You lean back in your swivel chair and contemplate the options.
>Make Marigold "Captain" of the Minions
>Make Marigold Puppet Mayor of the city
>Make Marigold a Lieutenant
>Leave her where she is, maybe give her a mug or a plaque
>Other

You decide to create and subsequently fill the position of Captain. Vanessa makes a note of it.
"I'll have a more suitable costume made up for her. I'm thinking black leather. But then, I'm always thinking black leather aren't I?"
"Sir, I also want to bring up the matter of that boy you assigned to me. While I was mending, I started him on simple strength training and a protein and calcium rich diet. He's growing like a weed now. I don't think he's ready for combat, but he's eager to serve."
On the subject of Marigold's outfit:
>Keep it simple, just add an accent or two
>Make it intimidating
>Make it erotic
On the subject of the boy:
>Keep training him for now
>Allow him to join the minions

How many Dark Eldar are there? They seem to have the reproduction issue pretty much sorted out, what with them just growing new Eldar in vats and resurrecting all the significant ones who die. They're also safe in the Webway with little beyond other Dark Eldar to harm them, and they've had 10,000 years to grow. While they obviously kill each other a lot, surely they should have build up quite a population by now?
>>45534189
Tons, iirc.
Not enough to compete with more populous races, but their population is stable enough that they can basically waste lives on raids and not have significant upset in their horrible hell dimension back home.
>>45534189
There are as many elves as the plot requires.
>>45534189
Judging by the size of the Dark City, trillions easy. Certainly not enough to compete with the Imperium or Orks, but still a stupid high amount of bodies.
Does chaotic or neutral evil exist IRL aside from the mentally ill?
Absolutely. Anyone that values freedom over the protection that law gives them is chaotic. Anyone that wouldn't go out of their way to help someone is at least neutral.
Someone that sacrifices to help another is good.
Someone that goes something good without any cost is neutral.
Someone that refuses to help without self benefit is evil.
>>45530057
Neutral evil is just a selfish person, OP. It's literally the alignment for a regular guy who isn't really concerned with altruism or even hospitality (except where it benefits him).
>>45530057
Anon at least 10% of humanity are Perfectly Functional Sociopath, who if not Lawful Evil are surely Neutral Evil. There are working member of the society not just simply mentally deranged.

How does a complete beginner go about getting into Dungeons and Dragons?
As a warning, people will tell you not to play D&D. What they mean is not to let it and/or Pathfinder be the only things you ever play.
Start with AD&D or 2e if you're interested. They're more simplistic and easier to get a hold of than the newer, more needlessly complex ones.
>>45525462
Depends on how you want to do it, check your local card shops, round up a few friends, and/or find a DM who is willing to help out new players.
>>45525462
Easy, just google for gaming stores near you, then show up and tell the employees (most of whom will be widely knowledgeable about role-playing games in addition to being friendly and approachable) that you're a newbie interested in getting into tabletop. They'll direct you to an established group. Now don't worry, as I'm sure you've picked up on from browsing /tg/, experienced tabletop guys are famously welcoming to new players. Your first game will probably be D&D 3.5 or Pathfinder, don't worry if you don't know what these terms mean yet. This is great because D&D is the perfect game for RPG newbies, being well-balanced across all player classes and intuitively simple to just pick up and play. But the most important step of all: have fun!
What would you think of a fantasy setting that resembles the D&D standard, except that within the past 50 years or so it's become the popular fashion for dragons to slum it among humanoids, with some minor magic to get around on two legs and fit into humanoid buildings and so on?
Well unless the dragon population exploded in the past century it'd be extremely rare to even meet one. But if so then it'd be like having a civil house guest, except that if the house guest gets mad or angry you risk having him kill everyone in the neighborhood.
It's a trick, they're after your gold.
Yes, the sovereign under your mattress and the change that fell behind the sofa.
I think it'd make a great fanfic, you should get to writing it. Don't forget to make sure that your self insert has sex with all the dragon ladies.
ITT: We determine once and for all the superior setting for playing games of make-believe.
Depends on the players

Depends on the setting.
Here ye, here ye! I hereby call to order yet another exciting, and important meeting of the world renowned Adventurers Guild! Now, as all of you Initiates are currently aware, today was supposed to mark the start of guilds 227th annual "Dost Thou Even Hoist Competition". Unfortunately, due to a package that was recently delivered by "The Magical Guild of Imprecise Packagers", and what I can only assume to be some kind of prank on the part of the Mages Guild, the guild sub-basement and its subsequent dungeon, is now currently inhabited by a grand total of seven Tarrasques, as well as a large army of Mind Flayers and their Thralls. As such, the event has been postponed until we can appropriately deal with the infestation. Preferably, before the "King-Of-Stags" tries to convert them to his shitty death cult/ barn door religion.
>>45522297
So who exactly signed for these packages, not to mention, how did we not know there was something STILL ALIVE inside!?!
>>45522297
I'd also like to know WHY the Mages Guild keeps fucking us over... I mean seriously!
Also, does anyone know who keeps going into the kitchen and putting dead mice into all of the spice containers? It's getting to the point where I don't even want to use the salt shakers
