I have just bought this out of impulse.
What can you tell me about the game?
I keep trying to learn the game but instead I just end up masturbating to the cards.
Maybe you'll be lucky enough to learn about it
They're are two decks in that box a "land" deck composed of stones and a "spell" deck composed of either things...once per turn you can take a stone from your stone deck a stone and put it into play...other than that it magic with a strange commander card.....
Also power creep.

So it's some deranged waifu version of edh?
I'm looking for character art for futuristic military officers, preferably without the absurdly of WH40K character designs.

What would a nuclear castle look like?
>>48343905
How about you describe what the fuck you actually mean first?
>>48344047
Imagine a nuclear-powered castle my friend.
>>48344091
Cheyenne mountain?
How would a warrior culture even reach a space age? How could they unify long enough to reach space age technology? If they unified, thwy can't be a warrior culture, and they'd need a decent amount of time unified to reach space age tech. Over that time, wouldn't they just stop being a warrior culture?
>they'd need a decent amount of time unified to reach space age tech.
Which is why Earth had one-world-government and Nigeria mattered in 1930.
Oh wait.

Yeah but we're talking moon travel vs FTL
What sort gods do Flumphs worship?
>>48341485
Flying spaghetti monster, ironically
Flumphs are too enlightened to worship gods. They know the true nature of divine beings and cannot "believe" in them the way than other races do.
If you're interested in using flumphs I would suggest giving them a word for gods that doesn't mean "God" like "psychovore" or "belief eater" if you are one of those folk who believe that gods have a metabolism based on people worshiping them.
>>48341485
>They have their own rules for being tipped over and turtling
Adorable
Why are MUDs, as well as most other forums dedicated to /tg/-like stuff, so toxic?
>>48339744
Because the people this hobby attracts are toxic in and of themselves.
>>48339760
This is pretty true. A lot of gamers who really get into it are pretty toxic and can't handle reality all that well. In our fantasies we get to be whatever the hell we like. I admit, I'm one of these. My last group was me (total jackass), a super-shy guy who couldn't handle dealing with people, a super-obnoxious guy who couldn't handle dealing with people, and a guy who made it his life's work to piss off everyone else at the table and act like a little troll. I mean like even worse than me.
OP, mind giving us an example? MUDs/MUSHes in particular you base this off of?
>>48339760
>>48340869
Strongly disagree.
MUDs and forums dedicated to gaming stuff are toxic. So are forums dedicated to videogames, politics, pig farming, and knitting. So are website comments sections and anywhere anyone can speak anonymously.
The internet is toxic, and many humans are toxic. /tg/ stuff is no worse than most, and better than many.
Sup /tg/. My players are going to enter a magical wasteland in our next session. Old cliche of a former magical civilization that was destroyed in a great war and left uninhabitable.
What things would you expect a party to encounter in this sort of environment?
>>48339384
Nothing of note. It's a wasteland after all.
>>48339384
More cliches, obviously. Such as arcane artifacts of amazing power that no-one in the last 10,000 years has picked up. Because of terrible monsters that have infested the ruins for the last 10,000 years.
Etc. etc. etc.
Living spells
Giant bugs
Devolved humanoids
Muslims
Mad Max
Candy Mountain
So, how does this thing compare to other generic fantasy dungeon crawlers? To those with a slightly dark-ish bent (Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, Symbaroum, etc.)? Is it worth getting? Good and bad points? Any interesting stories about it?
It's lame
>>48322601
I've enjoyed it, we've played a few sessions so far. It's got simple rules, it makes things flow quickly and easily.
I'd recommend it, and as they pump out loads of content that you can get cheap, it's a well supported system.
Play Diablo 3 instead.
Way to gamey for my taste.

Ring of Elru from Overlord, Wizard Stick from Disney Princess, Sceptre of Power from Spyro classic.

>you will neverdie amidst the blood and carnage of glorious battle.
is there any other way to play barbarians aside from the "i live for battle, will die in battle, and after death go to *insert off-brand valhalla* to battle forever!" trope?
not that i would play them any other way.
I wanted to play a high int barbarian with a scholar background centered around the unique phenomenon of nerd rage but our party already had 2 barbarians
They could just be clumsy and strong. Genuinely trying to help and reducing everything to rubble/pulp in the process.
They could be literally retarded, with real retard strength action.
They could just be super pissed off, no valhalla aspect or enjoyment of battle required.
Batshit insanity could also give you blood lust/psychotic battle tendencies without living for battle. Maybe they're convinced nothing truly stays dead unless the seriously reduce their parts per million.
I dunno. They don't have to love battle, they just have to be overzealous walking blenders.
>>48398547
Could be a very pragmatic 'pushed too far' attitude adopted from having fought off ruthless pursuers or enemies.
Someone who was sent to a Turkish prison and had to disembowel someone everyday with their bare hands or a chair leg will learn very quickly how to fight like a complete berserker without necessarily enjoying it or having any particular background in it.
This probably gets asked all the time, but how is D&D 5th Edition?
I played 3rd Edition back in high school but skipped 4th Edition after moving to Japan. I'd like to get my friends here into D&D and was wondering if 5th Edition would be a good place to start?
It'spretty good.
>>48397508
Its great. Its like 3rd edition but simpler and more balanced. Power levels are slightly lower though.
>>48397508
>and was wondering if 5th Edition would be a good place to start?
Yes and yes. It's undisputed that 5e is a good place to start.

So what do we know about the Cloaked Brothers, the templars' more subtle cousins?
>>48386581
>Spankable elven asses edition
Which type of Elf do you think would enjoy getting their butt spanked the most?
>>48386610
High Elf. Very uptight, especially Caledorians.
>>48386610
Dark Elves, especially those Witchwhores.
They'd murderer you after though. Pretty painfully and slowly I imagine. Not out of anger or anything, mostly out of principle; they were probably going to get around to murdering you in the name of Khaine anyway, so they might as well do it right after a nice bout of kinkiness.
A player shows up to the first session with a bard character sheet and a real life instrument. Is he that guy or best guy? Discuss.
>>48386289
Is it a woodwind or brass instrument?
Because if he's bringing brass to a game, he's a fucking troglodyte.
>>48386352
Strings or woodwind.
>>48386289
Depends how good he will roll that perform check.
Who here thinks Nahiri is going to be redeemed in some upcoming set? Who here thinks she CAN be redeemed and have it not be utter bullshit? Please leave any waifuism at the door
For the record, I actually really like Nahiri as a character. I'm just worried that Wizards doesn't know that she a a character that was once noble and pure, and through events that were only partially her fault has been driven irreversibly insane and evil.
She was driven insane by her stay in the hellavault so what she's doing is probably more the result of insanity than genuine hatred. I see some evangel in the next step slap her with some sanity-restoring magic and she goes mono-white "let me help sempai"
>>48377920
She looks like a meth user.
How do I keep my group from constantly straying into ERP territory?
>>48370674
Drag them so close to your magical realm that they become celibate.
>>48370674
Just run an ERP game you pussy.
>>48370840
Are there any good systems for that?
