I've been interested in converting D&D into minecraft, and have started setting some shit up. I want to create a 3-D, real-time D&D that isn't limited by premade campaigns and can be morphed into anything-- the proccess for worldbuilding is pretty simple right now, I just need to convert everything.
Some things, obviously, will not me able to me preserved-- such as complex spells what alter things mid-combat-- but I'd like to know what you think.
What version would you guys reccomend I use, and is there anything you think I should keep in mind?
Mods can help a lot. Just don't take the too overpowered ones. Pick simple magic ones.
>>49622781
I'm doing almost everything with custom NPCs and RPGitems-- simple enemies with low intelligence, like animals or undead, are controlled by NPCs, while anything I consider relatively intelligent-- while they will have an NPC model-- will be reccomended as "controlled" instead of just using a shitty AI. I can also somewhat mod, so I've made a bunch of tweaks to RPGitems.
>>49622727
>real-time D&D
Woah what do you mean by this? As in doing away with rounds? I like the idea of using Minecraft + GM tools to quickly lay down maps in a 3D space, but emulating D&D combat in realtime, is a massive and probably unrewarding task.
Infinity is a 28mm scale futuristic skirmish game by Corvus Belli in which Europe has already been destroyed a long time ago.

To reply whether TAGs are shit or not, I'm not the guy who said they're shit, but I can tell you that those 2 or 3 TAGs are cheese, but your standard squalo, o yoroi, guijia, lizard, gecko, etc. are far below them on the power curve.
I dunno, maybe take 2 TAGs if you want them to be good, most people have stuff to deal with 1 TAG, but 2 TAGs will be a massive pain. You'll have nothing else other than an engineer, hacker, and a bunch of cheap cheerleaders and specialists.
Nominate in this thread what you consider "cheese" Heavy Infantry.
For example:
>Swiss Guard
>Asura
>Yan Huo
>Achilles
>Haramaki Link Teams

Fantasy Craft has a playable race called Drakes. Basically you start as a small dragon creature and grow from there. It's also got giants and tree men and robotic constructs as stock playable races. It's pretty boss.PS I would rescue that dragon from the evil princess.

FAQ:
>What the fuck is this?
Somewhat a campaign of crack-infused free-form roleplay in the grim darkness of the far future.
>When do you guys make these threads?
Usually mondays at 4PM GMT, but they sometimes extend to Tuesdays if we got caught in the middle of something when the thread died and it was too late to make another one the same day.
>Can I join in?
Sure, just think of a character and have fun, you can find most info in 1d4chan albeit it's ussually a little bit out of date in comparison to where the threads are.
>Is there any requirement in character creation.
Not really, we've had Xeno infiltrators, Chaos infiltrators, Villains, Heroes, Normal Guardsmen, Crazed Guardsmen, Assassins, Psykers, Space Marines, Inquisitors, Squats... just think whathever and join the fun.
>Is it allowed to have more than a single character?
Yes as long as you don't use it to powerplay.
>So how you guys do the playan'?
We tend to use spoilers for OOC chat, but nothing is set in stone.
We tend to use greentexts for describing a character's actions, but again nothing is set in stone.
Use d20s for combat checks and d100s for other things you want to roll, higher Is better.
It's important to know that the regiment is now in the employ of a radical Ordo Xenos Inquisitor, with influence from an Ordo Malleus Inquisitor and under the watch of an Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor. Yes we've been through a lot of shit.

THE HEKTOR HERESY is a collaborative writing project that aims to re-tell the age old story of the Fall of Mankind into the Grim Darkness of the Future. We started by supposing a slightly different end to the Age of Strife, with different Primarchs being born in the Himalayzian Mountains and a different (but recognisably 40k) galaxy awaiting the Great Crusade. Things are now getting to the point where Hektor's rebellion is being covered.
We're happy to welcome new contributors. If you'd like to have a read of the project (and please, don't pitch an idea without having read anything!), there are a few possible starting points. The main page is:

So I had a couple thoughts about the Augurs and their Acolytes on the way to work.
What if rather than the Skaven constantly backstabbing one another shape they presently have, we shape them more like Vampire Count Thralls?
Also just get rid of the current Skaven/Sith backstabbing apprentice thing, at least until after the Heresy. At present the Legion reads like it would have been made into one of the Unknowns pretty fast.

I'm basically fuming that I still can't field the Terminators in the base Kill Team. Played a Ravenwing and Deathwing in HoR but we wanted to try out something simpler so I have to get rid of my favourite unit.
Which one is better-
>Sternguard Squad w/ Storm Bolters
>Scout Squad w/ EITHER Camo cloaks or Sniper Rifles
I'm thinking the Camo cloaks, run Chapter Tactics Ravenguard or Raptors for a good time

So one thing I've had questions about is what are you supposed to do when fighting a highly melee based army as Imperial Guard? For me it almost always end the same way with the enemy closing the distance in the first turn and tearing my army to pieces in the second turn. I don't know if I'm too retarded to know what I'm doing wrong so if this is just what happens.

So, who prepared for end of first jump by carrying in your arms as many suitcases and bags as you could to carry out as many goodies as possible?
>>49626116
IIRC (and I probably don't) this largely came in to explain how you get to keep the stuff from the start of the Pokemon jump before the warehouse (as you were supposed to do the warehouse afterwards).
As for how this interacts with companions I have no idea. Companions weren't a thing when this came up initially.
What I generally go with myself is that you keep the stuff on you but it appears in your warehouse at the start of the next jump. That way you can still keep your red hat from Pokemon but you can't game every powerless/warehouseless drawback by wearing your power armour at the end of every jump. It also makes it so you don't accidentally give the game away immediately by suddenly wearing power armour in a setting that doesn't exist in.
I might have played myself.
>New chain
>Jump 5 is Tales of Symphonia
>Meltokio
>Get bored, find and befriend Zelos
>End up partying really hard
>Wake up the next morning to find a lot of the city on fire, the Church of Martel mobilized to keep the peace, an elven woman I don't recognize in my bed, and Zelos hanging upside down from a lamp post right outside, snoring and wearing a 'KISS THE COOK' apron.
>In the chaos and unexpectedness of it all, I forgot to turn off Jumper fertility.
>Spend the remainder of the jump trying to support my young half-elf offspring.
Tales of Phantasia is then jump 6.
>Spend hours screaming at myself for making so many good perks and not being able to take them all
>Meet my first companions
>One of them is a redhead named Rosia Talos.
>She's a rare human who can use the in-setting magic
>Claims to be from a bloodline that descended from a mythical angel that sounded suspiciously like my Trance form
>oh fuck
>She's also chunni as fuck and believes this means she's destined for greatness.
>Cringe-inducing Skits ensue.>Eventually break the news to her about what I am and what really happened.
>She's devastated and we're not on speaking terms for a while.
>Eventually, we reconcile, and decides she's just going to carve her own path to greatness, while learning about other worlds on the chain.
>She eventually starts calling me 'Dad' or 'Gramps'.
For the unenlightened, Tales of Symphonia and Phantasia are in the same universe, about 1,000 years apart.

Hazard stripes edition
First for Genestealer Cults.
Reposting from last thread for thoughts since it archived:
WIP on my first GSC neophyte, thoughts?
Someone mentioned hazard black/yellow stripes on the weapon but was thinking of only doing this on heavy weapons/mining equipment like rock saws, mining lasers e.t.c, thoughts?
Second for reposting because I still can't find the fucking pages.
Anyone know if there were ever Godbreaker Clash or IK Renegade rules written for Wraithknights and Orkanauts? Are they from some WD and if so, which one?
Can a normal person without augmentation or training use polymorphine?
Are Callidus deformed under their suit since they're never shown out of it?
Do they have any form of "normal" life outside of being an assassin?
How does their suits morph into regular clothes when they shift?
Is there a given reason for the callidus being mostly female?
>>49617331
>Can a normal person without augmentation or training use polymorphine?
Maybe but probably not
>Are Callidus deformed under their suit since they're never shown out of it?
only if you want them to be. 40k is that kind of game.
