/IWG/, I plead your help in giving me ideas for how to convert xenos deathlocks for my Blackshields.
I've got B@C and a CSM squad, and I'm slowly edging my way into using greenstuff (chainmail, tubes, and scrolls so far). Right now, I'm planning on using the meltas from these kits as the base for my conversions.
The idea I have bandying around in my head right now is of a temporal fire thrower, sorta like the Shokk-attack gun. Basically, the gun generates flame in the fourth dimension, and *usually* it appears roughly where your opponent is standing. Mishaps include fire appearing in totally different spacetime locations (spontaneous human combustion, anyone?)

Migrating.
I have a request for a guy with a bionic left arm. Reference only shows the below elbow, but it's his whole arm. If you would please cuff both of his sleeves just enough to show the normal arm and metal one. He has hair that's short on top and shaved on the sides, and sports a short beard.If you feel up for coloring, his cybernetic arm is mostly a matte black, with an odd accent here or there, doesn't need to be as detailed as the referenced one.

Once again posting my anchor for Maskamillion and the Maiden-who-Weeps-Crystal.
Her body is formed of polished obsidian and verdigrised brass, inlaid with a large black-green crystal on the center of her chest between her breasts, another smaller crystal where her navel would be, and a line of similar-colored crystal spikes down her spine.
Her head is a beautiful female face of perfectly-polished obsidian, set in an unfeeling, unmoving mask, with long, elf-like ears and a teardrop-shaped disc of acid-etched brass rising up around her head like a form of halo. Her eyes are orbs of black-green crystal, and a river of iridescent liquid crystal trails from them at all times.
Her torso is legless and armless, with a single inch of upper arm on her shoulders, and two inches of thigh in her hips. The stumps of her arms and legs are covered in caps of verdigrised brass, each set with a single black-green crystal in the center. Floating a few inches away from the leg-stumps, the Maiden-who-Weeps-Crystal has two perfectly-formed digitigrade legs of obsidian with two taloned toes and a single spike growing down from the heel like a heel - both talons and the spike are made of the black-green crystal. Floating close to her arm-stumps are two pairs of shapely female arms (that makes a total of four arms), the fingers tipped with talons of the same crystal as her toes and heels.
Finally, from the crystals on her spine, the Maiden-who-Weeps-Crystal can form a variety of forms out of liquid green crystal. Usually she keeps it as four long ribbons that writhe in the air with a life of their own, but she can easily form them into large batlike wings or long, spiderlike arms should she wish.

I really like how the Kota militia basically seemed to be using a somewhat more detailed version of the armor Luke and Sarkli wore in Rogue Squadron's Defiance on Dantooine level, with security helmets of course.

Having said that, I find the Nids to be really dull. They have a wide range of colors, wild variety of forms and some truly outlandish weaponry. Yet for all this, this unknowable scourge from beyond the stars seem all to familiar, all too terrestrial: Eat, breed, thrive, change, decimate, dominate.
If you like Tyranids, I'd like to know- is there something I'm missing? Is wanting something more complicated drive from the Tyranids counter-intuitive to their faction appeal? Or do you wish to see some new developments as well?
Pic related: I feel like they work better from the oblivious perspective of some group like the genestealer cults than for us as an omniscient audience.

In 3rd and 4th ed codex they were an unstoppable unfathomable alien tide of hideous bioforms and beasts, an alien cancer gnawing away at the imperium, with loads of side effects like SITW nightmares and impending doom feeling, plants growing at a super accelerated rate etc..|
Recent codex stuff just feels more like "big scary space bugs are coming but don't worry, a space marine can totally kill 10000 solo, and they only win cause they outnumber us so badly and they will lose most fights in their own codex"

I guess that's part of the reason I question the appeal. In a setting full of doomsday weapons and failsafes, an "impending doom" race feels almost redundant.
I've really enjoyed the genestealers more in Space Hulk because they feel very threatening there. They make Marines vulnerable (thus more human) and genuinely feel overwhelming rushing down corridors.
That sense of locality makes them more ominous to me. They're monsters lurking in the dark places we really don't want to be anyways.

It's really more of a ninja than an Assassin, apparently. It does best when it can leap from tree to tree and throw smoke- and firebombs.

Children of divinity in a modern setting? Man, I could go for that. American Gods meets hidden magic.
I haven't done it, but I can imagine how I'd do it. Aspects of gods as power sources, your divine parent gives you a chance to buy them.
Fire for gods that have fire as a domain, lets you buy innate attacks, DR (burning only), ect with a (-15%)
Some powers common to all demigods, like Regeneration (Slow), Unkillable 1 and the potential for great power (250 point + characters).
