I have a relative who's a huge fan of the Catan games. For his Christmas present, I want to produce some 3D printed tiles for the game, they're relatively cheap to print but take 3 hours for a pair. How many of each type of tile would be enough to make a meaningful contribution to the game?
4 Sheep (Light green)
4 Wood (Dark green)
4 Wheat (Yellow)
3 Brick (Red)
3 Stone (Grey)
And then there are the trading ports. One for each resource plus four 3:1 Trading port tiles

Thank you very much. I was afraid I'd asked the wrong board.
Don't forget to add 1 desert. The bad robber(t) lives there
200 years from now the Earth is a brackish swamp and humanity has become a cross between naked-molerats and Floridians in order to survive. And is more upbeat and optimistic than in cyberpunk or Eclipse Phase, but not as optimistic as Transhuman Space. What kind of archetypes of exciting, adventurous type people will our future have? What kind of adventures will they go on?

So Floridans, then?
So From the New World but with Florida Man?
Hey /tg/, how do you guys go about dealing with players who fudge stats and rolls when you yourself are also a player? Bit of background first
>Be in group for ~4 years
>Friends from highschool and some others come and go, we're all pretty close now
>Notice in earlier years that our barbarian player A, never fails a roll and has never critically fumbled, to the point where it's suspect
>He openly tells me that if he rolls under 10 he adds 10 to that before adding his modifier
>Cue newer player R, mostly just flat out lies about dice rolls, did that to a major degree in a shadowrun campaign I ran too
>Finally comes P, who's one of the originals. I noticed in the new campaign I'm in with him as a gm, he fudges damage and saves from things to make things super lethal because he thinks high body count+unsaveable traps means a good campaign. Also I'm with him as a player in another campaign and can see that his character ability modifiers are fudged (eg. 15 with a +5 mod).
I just wanna play a fair game with people where the cheaters don't outshine everyone else by cheating because they can't handle shit going wrong. Is that really too much to ask??
>>50513350
Not that it matters but I forgot one more part about A
>Has impossible point buy builds for both him and his girlfriend in P's campaign that P doesn't call out because a)He isn't the type to read or understand rules and b)A hosts our campaign so we're worried it'd piss him off
>>50513350
If you're at a table, have everyone roll in the center except the gm. If you're online you should see everyone's rolls anyways. Problems solved.
Have your GM examine character sheets before entry. Also done. If the group does not support either of these, then there's no way it will change because the GM doesn't care enough.
The GM can't cheat. They control the game, and they're free to do anything as long as they believe it makes the game more fun. If they're mistaken and it's harming the experience, that's the problem rather than the fudging itself.
The rest, though? It's difficult. I'd say 'don't play with them', but I know a lot of people don't have that luxury.
hey guys, i can't get enough Ogryn pics and knowledge, I've been reading everything i can find on them,
Personally they're my favorite thing in 40k, And i've been thinking about writing a story about an Bone 'ed Psyker who somehow can't easily be corrupted,
>>50512909
Lore says they are from heavy gravity planets. Scientifically speaking that's bullshit, but ogryn are cool.I really don't know anything else about them actually, other than the whole child like innocence and great faith in the emperor bit. Just wanted to contribute so i could say, write it man. I wanna read it.
>manly tears

Ogryns got the short end of the stick in the RPG. You got a grand total of two weapons that you can use, due to the "clumsy" rule.
Also, how do claustrophobic people move from planet to planet? I doubt spaceship are much to their liking, deploying them must be a nightmare
>>50513041
Aren't the squats the ones supposed to hail from high-gravity worlds? IIRC Ogryns originate from death worlds were intellignece was unecessary compared to big muscles, making them evolve as mindless brutes.
>>50513569
Imperial ships are not so much space faring vessels as giant monasteries in space, there is PLENTY of possible space, if you're willing to use it.

Jumpers! tell me, have you ever shifted the balance of wars? if so how and when?
did you supply arms to the nazi's granting them moonbases when they further researched your equipment? Did you Tactically nuke mount doom to help the fellowship?
Tell me your warstories and how you turned the tide, or profited from the war effort.
What perks in Bloodborne are best for imitating Lady Maria's blood abilities?
Beeple-beep beep! Why exactly is the Imperium so poorly run and officiated, particularly with issues like supply chains and basic logistics? Isn't that the essential backbone of an army and effectively priority #1?
OP, stop forcing this meme.
>>50512283
Well i hate your meme, but i actually want to discuss this question. The simple reason, as far as i see it, is because it is literally impossible. It's not that the imperium is just that incompetent, they literally cannot effectively manage their supply chains due to the nature of warp travel. The nature of warp travel is such that you can arrive before you leave, or so late as to have completely missed the reason for your departure. It's random. They have no control over it. It's kinda hard to run a supply chain when its trip through the hell dimension determines when it gets there, not your time table.
because its supposed to be a ridiculous over the top parody
if it was just guardsmen getting shot dead that isnt funny, but if the guardsmen are being bombarded with poison gas, space-AIDS, future missiles, normal missiles, lasers, while at the same at time complaining about how the human meat they were forced to cook today was just a bit worse than yesterday, than that becomes a bit more entertaining
things like opening a food crate, only to discover 12 tonnes of toilet paper, and then saying "hey, it tastes better than the ration" is probably closer to the point than igniting some discussion about the logistics of a schizo-tech empire in the year 40,000
Excuse me, Commissar? I was monitoring the perimeter picters a few evenings back. And well, I know we're supposed to be defending the wildlife from the 'nids, keep them away from their biomass, but I think it's well above and beyond the call of duty for you to raise the morale of those grox like that, if you catch my drift sir.
Now, I know there'd be uproar if say, the rank and file, or the Ecclesiarchy got a pict-recording, and neither of us want that, so I secreted it away in a safe place. But I'm just saying, if I should get a bolt to the head, or an "accident" happens to me, it might be found. Do we understand each other? Sir?
Please, stop trying to force your stupid meme.
It's super fucking gay.

Villains.
How necessary are they, really?
>>50511709
Well, sometimes the antagonist can be a hero, I guess.
>>50511730
and the players can be the villains
i always wanted to play a villains game
>>50511709
>Villains.
>How necessary are they, really?
there are plots and adventures where there is no real antagonist, but in 80% of stories you need an antagonist in order to have conflict, because without conflict there is no story to be told.
Orks should be removed from the setting, they are just punching bags like the IG both would be better as footnotes in the lore rather than actual armies.
>>50511647
Agreed, they literally can't win anything. Even when their whole race got together the Imperium still kicked their asses and sent them running.
Not to mention the head-a-splode-null trick means Orks aren't even dangerous. Just need a Wierdboy and a Culexus and you could literally kill all Orks on Armageddon in a second.
Orks should be relegated to background lore, like the Hrud, where it just notes when a Chapter killed 'this or that billions of Orks' one day when they were taking a break. At this point all that separates Orks from minor xenos anyway is that they have miniatures no-one wants to play with.
>>50512497
Despite their clearly biased tone off this post, how well do Orks actually sell by comparison to the other xenos?

Do you intentionally power down your decks for your group?
>>50511073
I have a friend who plays card games online. I've asked him if he would like to play magic, and he says he doesn't want to because of the time and money investment, so I was thinking of buying him a slightly tuned up pre-con for Christmas. Alternatively, I'm an experienced deckbuilder so I could build it from ground up, but I don't want to spend too much money on it or it will make things weird
Anyway he might not accept the deck as a gift, so I might have to keep it for myself. Which deck should I get? Needs to be cheap to tune up, doesn't have to be too high-power but it should still win occasionally. It also has to be fun and straightforward. Meren is an obvious option but he's overplayed so please not him.
>>50511115
I had a similar experience with a friend of mine, I chose Zada, Hedron Grinder. He actually flies under the radar a lot, but can explode out if left alone. He's incredibly straight forward, and he was >50 for the initial cards. Most of his stronger choices are cheap too, unless you want to go super crazy with things like blood moon and the like. I don't know what type of playstyle your friend, or you favor, but Zada has been a blast and since my friend moved away I ended up buying the deck for myself and it's one of my favorites.
>>50511159
>I don't know what type of playstyle your friend
Yeah I was just trying to stalk his Shadowverse profile to check what kind of stuff he plays lmao
Zada isn't a bad option but I think I might go for something a bit more stable, kind of like alesha hatebears or something like that. I don't know if mono-red is a good way to enter the format since he will have to play against UG degeneracy
edric flying men would be an option if it wasn't for the fact that he won't know what spells are worth counterspelling and so on
How do you Magic?

Study science so advanced that with a few material components, a few perfectly-balanced words, and the right hand/finger wiggling, you can completely rewrite reality. The science isn't perfect- it takes hours for a beginner magic-user to fully cast a spell. Even an experienced mage needs to spend an hour or so casting magic.
Then design spells that allow you to bundle a spellcast into two distinct parts- the 'primary' part, which is the good part of a few minutes at the best, and the 'activation part', which takes only a few seconds' movement or action.
Then, every morning, cast most of the spell. Not all of it- not unless you want to cast it on the spot- only the primary bundled part. Leave the activation part of the spell until later. Repeat this for as many spells as you can, until your brain buzzes with the crackling arcane energy of magic in the back of your mind (or until you start to forget the activation parts of spells. Forgetting those are bad.)
Then later, when you need to actually have the benefit of a spell, cast the 'activation' parcel of a pairspell, and BANG. Magic missiles from your fingertips.I just explained D&D wizard-style prepared arcane magic for you guys.
