In the same vein, 4c Loam. A deck designed to hate on all blue decks in the format, and has 45/55 MU against DnT. The only blue deck that it doesn't fare well against is SnS, but currently that deck isn't too highly represented (though it's making a comeback). I guess it's time to play more Containment Priests.

Reposting here from last thread cause it died before anyone could comment.

So, I'm using a Celestial Working to create a horse for my RDS-using Eclipse caste. However, this won't just be any old horse. This horse I'm calling Ifris, The Burning Wind. He's an intelligent horse with a fiery mane and hooves who can breath and eat fire and specializes in being incredibly fast. As per the Ambition descriptions, he's supposed to be on par with a 2nd Circle Demon. However, I'm not really satisfied with his stats yet, particularly his charms. He has to be in the same ballpark as a 2nd Circle Demon, but some of what I wrote down feels...well, I can't tell if some of them are too strong or two weak, and I feel like I should have more charms that fit the theme of being an incredibly fast, loyal mount, but I'm out of ideas that fit that description.

Besides breathing and eating fire, Ifris is also on-par with humans in intelligence, and can even speak. He also develops an unbreakable Defining Tie to his master (me), which can only be changed if his previous master is dead, and as such he instantly knows if his master ever dies. He's got a Speed bonus of +5, and has the Brutal Kick and Swift Hooved abilities since he's a horse.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. This is Mr. Blue Sky, lead (read: only) developer for VeloCITY, the Jet Set Radio-inspired homebrew about shredding asphalt and shredding turntables.

Long time, no see. And boy, do I have an update for you guys.

This is version 1.3, and this is by far the most significant set of changes to the rules ever since the game as we know it was first introduced. After talking with some old players and going through notes, some significant changes were made to the stats used in the game, which has rammification across the entire document. Here's the short version:
>Strength, Agility, Balance and Grit are now known as movement stats and are directly tied and synchronized to their respective core stat (Body, Speed, Mind, and Soul respectively). Upgrading the core stat automatically upgrades the movement stat.
>With the new substat vacancies, there are four new substats to take their place.
>>BODY - Resilience: The damage resistance stat, separate from Stamina
>>BODY - Brawl: The dedicated melee to-hit stat, separate from Coordination
>>SPEED - Stealth: Self-explanatory
>>SPEED - Larceny: Less-than-legal skills, like breaking-and-entering, pickpocketing, sleight-of-hand, etc.

As mentioned, this has rammifications across the entire document, so changes have been made accordingly to accomodate, on top of some additional mechanics clarified and with changed formulas. Changes include natural healing rate, how much energy you can spend, how much Style you can save, and the combat rules, among others. With the new stat line, most of the example characters have been removed, and Tomahawk is the sole sample character again. You'll notice this made the document tiny again, so now I can post it on 4chan directly again.

I apologize for the radio silence for a long time, but I'm glad I could come back to you with something so monumental. Read through the whole thing, let me know what you think, and enjoy!

Used to be Carcharodons, Red Scorpions, and the other Badab War chapters but they became very popular. Minotaurs were always pretty popular and well supported. Raptors got really popular.

Astral Claws is about the most well supported unpopular legion, and Executioners and Star Phantoms are criminally underrated but have zero support with no special models or decals.

How could you explain doors re-locking in a fantasy setting, low magic, medieval city. In which an apocalypse has just occured and there would be few survivors?
Keep in mind, the paths and roadways would be blocked off to prevent players from veering off story.
Also consider the city to have a dungeon underground sewer giving access to areas of the city needed to be accessed for plot reasons and no buildings are built above 2-3 stories high -except- old religious / royal or wealthy merchants bricklaid stone and wood mansions, towers, estates and the towns VERY first Tavern/Inn, there since the beginning of the town. Security, military and guard barracks can also be build of stone and are always in specific areas of the city for strategic purposes.
However, consider the guards and military to either be away or destroyed for this scenario.
Now the players have access to chunks of the city and must navigate to the Castle to rescue someone. Ther city being in a mostly destroyed prediciment, requires the players to navigate back and forth through a (cleverly constructed labrynth I designed) maze of crumbling buildings while at the same time they are being assaulted by an unending onslaught of rotting corpses pouring out from Gods know where.
In a sci-fi game I could easily explain how mechanical operated computer controlled locking systems can be hacked, hijacked or rank classsification controlled, open or close, locked or unlocked without player intervention.

But I can't think of a way to do this in a fantasy setting without resorting to magic, (rather not), or mechanism controlled, (can't explain a reason for it).

So now what do I do? Hope the players won't notice or say anything to make me explain why it's happening? Or just ignore the break in logic?

Massive old school stone doors could be linked to pressure pads and such.
Party steps on a stone in the room and a locking stone slides into place behind the door.

Or for standard wooden looking doors,
Clockwork Locks perhaps, On a spring loaded timer, Turning the key winds the spring which starts a countdown which will eventually clock the lock in place again.

Security cameras are Periscope like Mirrors stretching out through the corridors, All build into the walls,under the floors, All around the place, and all leading back to a control room like place which is just like a room full of Holes leading to mirrors. Like some Grand Pipe organ thing. Impossible for the party to know where they lead. Also look exactly like the sewage pipes so if the party tries to break one or two, Cover them in shit.

Same room could have a series of Cables and Pullies leading to all the doors in the castle/Compex. They Pull a crank, and spring loaded bolts click into place, Lock mechanism is built into the frame instead of into the door.

Or trained Door goblins.
Live in the corridors and have a network of small holes, When they see a door opened they pop down and lock them. A networked of Goblins who all work for the owners of whomever and they go about their business keeping the place safe, Guy who owns it pays them back with Shelter and Scraps.

OR door can only be opened by a key, no handle, as soon as it's closed it locks again, It's on a spring or something.

Doors all open on an Angle and slowly slide closed just from the way they operate.

Okay, lets get started. Halo Mythic has been actively developed for 4 years, now. Today is actually our 4th anniversary of the first beta posted here! We're old.

My LGS is doing our post release proxies allowed tournament tonight to test new cards, so Im running infinite Arla Stones combo for shits and giggles. Jamming it in a bunny shell so I can side into Faria lifegain bunnies for the even more retarded combo. Who doesnt love dropping a 13/13 and 4 10/12s for 5 mana?

Playing a stealthy character is worthless. Unless the entire group is adapt at sneaking around, any time you try to use your stealth you will be forced to effectively play a solo mission. No good DM will focus on a single player alone while the rest of the group just sits around doing nothing. And even if you get a shitty DM who allows you to play a solo stealth mission, if you're caught then you're alone behind enemy lines. At that point either you get caught/killed and you're fucked, or the enemy has to be so weak you can singlehandedly take them on (which raises the question why you even bothered to sneak in when the four of you could just take out any resistance).

Any tracking/survival related skill is useless, because finding the enemy is a necessity. It's not a skill, it's a DM's plot device disguised as a skill with a high opportunity cost.

Find a better system that doesn't suck on stealthy players for fucking up a single roll, or a better GM to use more creatively the rules.

I personally found this problem to be rather shitty, then I stopped thinking inside the D&D box. If you fail a stealth check when infiltrating, the guards patrolling notice something, but don't outright get you, and if they were simply lazily patrolling before, now they'll be on their edges.
Make it that you have some increases in alert level among guards, or some differences. An enemy target you might want to apprehend (a guy you must break out of prison, a target for a hitman, a man with informations hiding in his lair) might move, or be moved, from his previous spot to a bunker or a high security cell, or call for some guards to increase security from other places to his position. Stealth DCs increase if enemies are actively patrolling instead of standing where they are, letting time pass. High alert levels can add more types of guards, or even monsters to be deployed.
A patrol group might get out to check on the perimeters where your party waits for you, and get questioned or even attacked. On the other hand, your players can make distractions, or even attack the building from another direction to ensure enemy forces are divided.

You can be outright found only if you really fucking fail by 10 or more points, or if you raised. Even so, make a single guard fightable by a player. Heck, even a couple shouldn't be much of a problem, they are just lvl 1 warriors at first. If you don't let them ring the alarm and kill them before they can call reinforcements, you're fine. Make use of more than just stealth, use acrobatics, escape artist, bluff, disguise and climb rolls to avoid enemies or send them the wrong way. Use a ranged attack with a rock to make it look like someone make a noise a few paces to the left. The DM should give you routes, describe the environment and such to grant more options.
