Tell me your kobold stories. Characters, villains, groups, adventures!
>>50884853
Kobolds mostly have only primitive technology and only the most basic of tools but every now and then they make something so utterly devestatingly 'Effective' that it can make a dwarven woman blush.
One such example is the case of "The fire wagon of Jeune-Neige plains".
Beset by numerous kobolds a traveling merchant named Iman Basil had decided abandoned his cart on the road to Northern Vallery village,
the Kobolds, ever crafty used the wagon's contents (10 sets of plate armor, cooking oil, a hose) and the wagon itself to make what can only be described as "A small dragon on wheels".
They used this "Fire wagon" to raid nearly every village in the Jeune-Neige area, burning down houses and running over villages. They were only stopped when a band of adventurers that convinced them that an actual dragon was insulted by the machine and is coming to kill them.
kobolds are for clever traps

For all your questions on Dark Heresy (1st and 2nd Editions), Rogue Trader, Deathwatch, Black Crusade, and Only War.
Not the wargame, not Chapter Master, not Space Hulk. Inquisitor is okay, but not many people know about it.
Not sure between starting Dark Heresy 1e and 2e? Pick 2e.
>Why did FFG lose the 40k RPG License?
Because they were bought by Asmodee and that caused some sort of licensing conflict.
>Will GW make their own 40k RPGs now?
Probably not. But if they do it will likely be worse than you could possibly imagine.

Magos Belisarius Cawl has returned after 10,000 years to Cadia, at the head of an alliance with the Dark Eldar to support Imperial efforts at Cadia. What is the strangest alliance you've made in game, and would it have made sense in lore before Fall of Cadia?

>Magos Belisarius Cawl has returned after 10,000 years to Cadia, at the head of an alliance with the Dark Eldar to support Imperial efforts at Cadia.

"no"
Nu-canon not true canon. It should be a bannable offense, or at least shunnable, to anyone who claims GW's works are canon. Only FFG is the true source of canon now.

I disbelieve your assertion. Can I get a citation?

Gathering Storm: Fall of Cadia QA on GW's twitch. The Black Templars, Sisters, and Mechanicum made a deal with the Dark Eldar to use the webway to get to Cadia in time for Abbadon's black crusade.
It's Da Archive! Your Entire Life Has Been Leading Up To This Moment! .
It Will Be The Best 9 Hours Of Your Gaming Career!
STEP 1 Go to the last thread if you haven't looked at it. it has a ton of stuff, including filled requests directly posted to the board. .>>50653883 Look through the the posted open source pdfs and pics and stuff..
Files posted directly to 4chan are not added to Da Archive.
STEP 2 Grab your Documents: Da Archive is multiple documents.
Da Archive: Usually Getting Bigger. and hopefully better.
Da Archive Annex is where the newest links go before I scrub them and put them in Da Archive.
Da Archive Updates are where the new links get put. It will be raw and unpolished, with lots of coded links. Sorry for the bother..
Da Wish List is comprised of unfulfilled desires. Please look through it and try to help.
STEP 4 Get a coffee or other beverage, get comfortable and browse through the blasted thing. It is only about 70 pages long. If you skim over the Personal Collections without really looking you will miss 10,000 pdfs.
STEP 7 If you want MORE, you can go to find more PDFs in storage here: http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/search/subject/PDF%20share/ and here: http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/search/subject/PDFs/
STEP 42
Please give as much information as you can when you make a request. The more information you give (cover, a link to product, name of designer/writer/publisher) - the more chances someone might recognize it and upload it.
If you post a list of requests, Please make them a column, not a sentence.
ie
Zombie Hookerz
Lysergia Fur, The AnthroBrit Invasion RPG
Slutty NPCs for Everyone.
Dirty Backstabbers
Step 44 Links that are blacked out will not be added to Da Archive.
STEP 5 Please be patient with the irrepressible urchins who request without looking first. They help bump the thread, and they want to look at something that's not porn. They might even read it. You don't have to answer them, although that also bumps the thread.
STEP 6 Rumors of Da Archivist being an A.I. from the Deep Web are unfounded. It does not have mysterious ulterior motives. He is a real person and a moderately well adjusted Luddite Amish geek who lives in Intercourse, PA; who hides his laptop in the hayloft of the barn with a solar panel.
P.S. - Remember, We are Better than all of the rest of the horrible internet and Good Manners ALWAYS gets more results. Wise up or please go elsewhere.
STEP Zillion Please post dead links and I will remove them to keep the archive up to date. Be specific, there are dozens of copies of some Pdfs.
STEP 3.14
Step 33 1/3 Anons could also help by going through the lists and checking for dead links and notifying the board.
Please ONLY POST OPEN SOURCE PDFS DIRECTLY IN THIS THREAD. link the others from elsewhere.
Excessive infractions could cause TPTB to remove the ability to post any pdfs at all.
Check for copyrights before you post anything directly.
Please be respectful and don't belittle others' requests because you dislike the game. Imagine the horrific RPGs I've run across. 'Dragon Dildo Warriors', 'Cheetos & Dew', and 'We're All Little Girls (Frilly Dresses Are Mandatory At the Table)' spring to mind
.My personal quest is to help Mageguru's noble cause -

Could a marine in terminator armor survive atmospheric re-entry, or would the armor or marine be cooked to death? If they could survive re-entry, could they survive the fall to orbit?
I mean, the spartan IIs in halo could and they're supposed to be shit compared to a space marine.
>>50904008
fall from orbit*
Maybe?
iirc the armor was built originally for working inside fusion reactors or something
>>50904008
I'm pretty sure the impact would kill the marine inside.
The armor would probably be fine though.
So I dont really know exactly where to ask this question but alot of art threads around here tend to have characters wear those "Half shoe" things if they are rouges, druids, or really anything.
I gotta ask how good of foot wear are these in a practical sense? Does leaving your toes/part of your foot exposed give an advantage of anything?
>>50903882
Something something something Zulus. Apparently it allows you to run faster.
>>50903882
>Does leaving your toes/part of your foot exposed give an advantage of anything?
Broadly speaking, no. Feet are pretty well designed for balance and traction, but there's a reason we wear shoes.
I suppose it keeps you a bit warmer than going bare foot, but again: shoes.
>>50903922
>Apparently it allows you to run faster.
Just like running into a gunfight in a silly dress makes bullets less likely to hit you?

Lots of Masterpiece Ornithopters will see play. This is more like full art land.
>>50876834
The whole point of Masterpieces is to increase the supply of expensive cards that have received limited printings, I.E. Arcbound Ravager and Ensnaring Bridge. Masterpieces of those cards will actually be /cheaper/ than original printings, since the masterpieces will cause the price to drop to a reasonable amount.
Ornithopter doesn't need a Masterpiece reprint. It's played in 1 competitive modern deck, has been printed in 11 sets, and costs $1 for a full play-set.
>Before the party departs for diplomatic/discovery centered exploration, they are invited to a very formal Christmas party in the largest space-station in Earth's orbit: The Watchtower.

I like it. So who are the bad guys? Space krauts?

An attempted coup by a rebellion forming in what is essentially the human empire. They are the bad guys. They are the shitty type of rebels. Little sympathy, for the most part.

I've always wondered about this rotating rings: Let
s say the ring is stationary and you suspend yourself above the ring "floor". Then the ring starts rotating to provide artificial gravity. Would you still remain suspended "in mid air" provided you had no walls or obstacles to collide with?
So, what are some good shows, books, and so on if I want inspiration for a modern fantasy/horror campaign?
So far, I have:
>Hellblazer (comics)
>Much of Grant Morrison's work (comics)
>Illuminatus!
>Supernatural (TV)
>True Detective (TV)
Sons of Anarchy
>Switch out Nords for Scandinavian soul-snatches
>Mexi-gangs become Azteca possessed killers
>The begins to actually protect the town from demonic incursion
>Suffer the negative consequences of killing people despite saving their lives.

I once found this great comic called Nameless. It has a great occult feel and successfully makes itself unique compared to Lovecraft and other horror writers. Also the only sci-fi that can be found is a moon base and drones with tvs on them

>tfw when the human invaders realize that the massive forest realm they thought filled with Wood Elves is just the borders of our massive High Elven kingdom.
You should have seen the looks on their faces when they finally cut through the forest, fighting through ents and guerilla fighters for seven months. Then when they finally came out the other side, having lost half their armies, to see our legions of spearmen in white armor, dragon-riders, city-busting mages, and dwarven mercenary cannon crews.
Should we grind their cities to dust and enslave the survivors, or shall we just kill the lot of them? This joke was fun, but these bastards did kill all our ents.

I'm looking for races almost nobody uses or that are considered jokes. Making a homebrew apocalypse-fantasy setting and trying to break tropes. Give me any crazy ideas you've had and I can work with them.
Already included are kobolds that essentially replace dwarves, being master craftsmen and being the only ones with working factories. I've also made Kobolds somewhat less reptilian and made it so that they are heat resistant, more akin to desert iguanas or Australian lizards.
Robots also essentially replace humans due to the fact that most humans died but major factories, still ran by automated systems, keep making robots.
Personally, i'm looking for ways to include oni, skeletons, and monkey men. Any and all ideas are available, from mutation to magic.
>>50917540
Animated skeletons that modify themselves by finding and attaching bones to their existing structure. They'll meet up, trade parts and bones on occasion and will modify themselves to their personal tastes. Multi arms, deer skulls, teeth, centaur skelly, etc.
For example, a skeleton wants to become more charismatic. He'll hunt down old archives with obituaries, find a comedian, find his grave and trade out a knee or elbow and gain some of his comedic talent.
Sunflower people who follow the moon instead of the sun, feeding eldritch parasites and other unknowable beings within their fleshy bodies.

The NPC that plays the biggest role for us is the fucking Dwarven mogul that owns our asses.
Now I am really debating.
My first level feat is caught between two things:
Deific Obedience (Iomedae)
and
Two Weapon Fighting
As is my melee is barely serviceable, with two weapon fighting it fixes it somewhat. However the Deific Obedience fits the character and the bonus to diplomacy/knowledge nobility is enticing.
On the melee front things get a lot better at level 4 once studied combat comes online, as well I begin moving into spells such as Alter Self for dex bonuses.
It's sad that sword cane is so bad.
