I know in storytelling, you can describe a mossed attack as a parry, a block, a GODDAMN FORCEFIELD, whatever you want, but I want players to have agency to be able to decide what to do and have mechanical benefits therein

>friend invites me to play with him and his group
>fuck it, join group
>our group was 5 people, me and another guy were the only "normal" ones
>another is pretty cool but obsessed with d&d
>some girl
>our DM was sketchy af, grew up in "the hood" poor af and scary
>befreind all the people
>play d&d through 8th + 9th grades, have some minor arguments
>tenth grade
>guy obsessed with D&D (tom) and our DM (jim) have been getting in alot of fights recently
>8th grade Jim and the girl (samantha) get together
>jim lowkey abuses her
>one session she and him gwt in huge fight
>she is crying and he is in her face whisper yelling while everyone else is scared
>jim is on edge
>we're all terrified
>later on, tom and jim get in fight, jim hits tom

>tom decides he's had enough, decides to go home
>i follow suit
>session ends 3 hours early
>everyone gets in fights over next couple days on Discord
>luckily jim stopped going to our school earlier so we dont have to deal with him

For example, would it make sense for Dragons and Orcs to evolve on a South America-like continent, and Dwarves and Elves evolve on a Europe-like continent?

Realistically? No.
In a fantasy world? It doesn't matter.
Evolution doesn't work towards a goal. On Earth, when continents separated evolutionary paths diverged. While most geographical features and biomes were present on all continents, the random nature of genetic mutation coupled with natural selection - or evolution - produced varied species filling the same ecological niches. For example, Australia's red kangaroo and North America's pronghorn antelope occupy the same niche while looking completely different.

Of course. Evolution is all about breeding and competition. If they aren't anywhere near each other, why would one species evolving affect the other?

Yes.

Geographies? Probably not. But you do need to recreate some conditions to create intelligence. We had certain pressures that happened to allow for intelligence, such as our upright stance, our omnivorous diet, our social development, and our relative lack of competition.

Were being bipedal, adaptability to different environments, and having no competition the only factors that guaranteed Humans could evolve higher intelligence?

A cyborg would be a human who was modified with the addition of mechanical and electronic parts.
Pinochio was a carved wooden object, and from the start was never human, never contained any mechanical or electronic parts, and thus could never be a cyborg.
Under some definitions of golem, he might qualify, as he's a human shaped, magically animated object crafted by human hands, but even then, he doesn't really fit the classic definition of a golem, since they are not self willed, and can only follow the instructions they are created with.
This is sort of like asking if Dumbo the elephant was an automobile, or a plate of spaghetti.
The answer, as >>52028314 says, is neither.
