What happens if I stick my dick in a black hole?

Your dick would be shredded into infinite amounts of infinitely small peices

Not at all. At worst you would go down to subatomic particles, but your body has a finite (although extremely large) number of those

Hi /sci/ can one of you explain our existence in terms of what we are made up of?

I read a bit about quarks and gluons but it seemed confusing to me as I am not a scientist.

What are we made up of and what happens when we die?

Are we made up of energy/radiation and then we decompose into carbon particles and we become part of the "universe" (We are all stardust?) does our energy radiate off into space or do our bodies keep recycling itself in a never ending cycle of energy being used and re-used in different forms?

Appreciate any expertise on this matter.

You are made of cells, which are made of molecules, which are made of atoms, which are made of protons, neutrons, and electrons. All the other subatomic shit doesn't matter.

When you die, your body rots, decomposes, and is fed on by scavengers. Unless you're cremated, in which case you're reduced to piles of carbon and thrown into the winds.

Everything is part of the universe. There's no spiritual meaning in this. Yes, your energy radiates into space, it radiates off towards anything visible. Energy also comes to you from everything that can see you. The Earth gets energy from the sun, and for the most part the amount of matter on Earth is constant.

What would happen if a dragon breathing ice would fight with a normal fire-breathing dragon? Both dragons would be the same size and the ice-breathing dragon flame's temperature would be -1000 degrees of celsius and the normal dragon flame's temperature +1000 degrees of celsius.

Would their combined effects cancel each other out so that instead there would be only empty space or one 0-degree flame?

Okay so I made a thread the other day but nobody really liked it where I related particles to people.

What if particles are like numbers instead?

Proton is +1
Neutron is +0
Electron is -1

We are all in a computer simulation defined by various numbers and the particles make up the numbers.

Also black holes are imaginary numbers on a fabric of real numbers. Same thing applies to souls. Souls are basically the same as black holes. Souls are particles too. Everything in the universe is a particle and can be assigned a total set of smaller numbers (particles) which make it up.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

I figure that numbers exist in a faded or ethereal sense until acted on by an observer, after which time they immediately reach base level reality. Numbers have memory based on the last value they were assigned. But that value changes every time someone assigns emotions to them and changes the total value.

It's not really hashed out yet but I was just wondering what more educated people might think.

How difficult is it be to complete a double major in computer science and mathematics?
I already know how to program and I've started studying first year math to get ahead, but I'm scared the workload will be too much to handle.

if it's too much simply concentrate on cs and finding a job
>>

I could just do math as a minor, but I really wanted to do both. Not to mention a heavy math background also looks good to grad school admissions and employers as well.
>>
Yo, math and CS double major here. If it really is too much in the coming semesters, it's honestly alright to drop math into a minor.

That being said, I've found it very useful to peek ahead and plan my classes at least two semesters in advance. I got all my general requirements done by taking one class devoted to that each semester. I cycle math and CS by taking two from first major and one from the second, and then alternating to one from the first major and two from the second, etc.

In this fashion, I never try and put more than 4 classes on my plate at a time, since math is a big commitment to studying and computer science is a big commitment to time (think large projects). It pays off when you have classes that intersect topics from both, or when you can knock off requirements from both with a single class.

For more than any practical purpose, this is something you do because you want to do so. Unless you really want to *go out of your way* to study this in order to enrich yourself, don't do it, since it will put more stress on you at least on the first two semesters when you're acclimating to college and even more stress when you need to be taking things like real analysis and advanced algorithms (at which point CS classes will have started to require a few hard proof classes as well) in the same semester.

>>
>>9133926
Kinda stupid testing my ability to solve novel problems with shapes and patterns. There's many more scenarios of novel problems besides shapes that you can use your fluid intelligence in, and naturally some of these problems you'll be better in and some you'll be shit in. It's quite unfair to judge someone's intelligence in all scenarios based on their one attempt with predicting obscure patterns.

How come?

Hi /sci/, so about three days ago I made a thread asking people to help me with a problem related with an epsilon-delta proof and a guy posted a way to do it. However, I made the mistake of thinking that the thread would still be there after I came back from a class. I remember how he did it for the most part, but I forgot the end of the proof and I've got to a point where I'm stuck and I don't know what to do next. Could anyone help me? Or is the guy that helped me last time still there?

Why do scientists say that the eye can be fed oxygen via the capillaries behind it (this is how they are oxygenated when you're sleeping) but at the same say contacts must be removed to allow the eyes to breathe? How can you trust the mechanism to work while sleeping but not with contacts in?

What's the highest energy density that has been achieved for something that won't explode under the right conditions?

Everything explodes under the right conditions.

But black holes have the highest densities inside them, and they can be made not to explode for trillions of trillions of trillions of trillions of trillions of trillions of trillions of years, roughly speaking. (if you know an easier way of writting 10^80, let me know)
