I was bored so here's a /sci/ word cloud for you. You guys need to come up with better insults.
Piggotposter should step it up, he's been slacking lately.
>the fifth dimension is multiple worlds
>the sixth dimension is a plane of possible worlds
>the seventh dimension is all worlds and their initial conditions
>the eight dimension is a plane of all worlds and their initial conditions
>the ninth dimension is all worlds including all possible laws of physics
>the tenth dimension is everything
Has a credible physicist ever claimed this or this popsci garbage?
A dimension is not a plane, and it is not a place.
Anyway, string theorists probably claim something like what you say.

>Has a credible physicist ever claimed this or this popsci garbage?
The latter.
So hypothetically, if I were to find a frozen mammoth, would I die if I ate its meat?
In a follow up question, would this be legal?
The Romans did this.
>>9122105
Romans also had the meat a few years fresher and no laws about eating extinct animals to worry about
Whats up /sci/?
How do I get better at science?

>How do I get better at science?
With practice, like you would any other skill.
Swissfag here, I'll start studying medicine this September. It will be 6 years until I'll have to decide in what direction but I'm really considering going into nuclear (aka nucular) medicine. Any thoughts about it?
Do it.
Radiation oncology is pretty cool.
I'm a physicist at a medical device manufacturer that makes brachytherapy sources. I'll probably be going back to school in the near future for medical physics, though I don't have any plans to practice clinically.
Also make sure to ignore all the "CT causes cancer" threads.
My dad got a 21 ACT score and tested into honors math (200+ something) at my state college and dropped out at like level 400 math his senior year.
I got a 26 ACT score and I tested into 105.
why
Different time periods and test means different results and scores. They also could have raised the requirements to test into calculus. Have fun taking intermediate algebra brainlet.
t. 25 ACT but tested into calc
Lets all save each other some money and post links or share files of college textbooks. I have a google doc of Chemistry, a central science 13th edition
Im looking for Chemisty 12th ed and Calculus: early transcendentals 7th ed

Hello fellow American Scientist. Did any of you did the pendulum experiment called the "Allais Effect" I would like to know the results.

>full overcast during the eclipse
who else knows that feel
Yes. Was raining.
Raining here. I-it's not like i wanted to see it anyways.
what do you guys think is the easiest from this list?
1Be able to apply matrix methods
2 Be able to apply sequences and series, probability and recursion
3 Be able to apply number systems
4 Be able to interpret data.

>documentary about some smart animal species
>the animals intellgence is expressed with the human IQ system and the value is over 120
Which one was smarter than Einstein (160)?

I'm very interested in time and time travel and I thought about this a few days ago while I was trying to sleep, but my knowledge of physics is very limited to answer this, since I'm studying it on my own when I have free time.
>inb4 time travel is not real
Let's assume, theoretically, that there is a spaceship about 50 times FTL and nearly infinite fuel. If this spaceship starts flying around earth in the opposite way of its rotation, during a few years, is possible to even access or see the past?
>pic somewhat related
if you have a giant mirror light years away from your location and you use a giant telescope to zoom in on that mirror you can see into the past
therefore, you need to transform yourself into photons and shoot yourself at the mirror to be able to travel back in time
in the amount of time it takes to get to the mirror and back, you will be able to access the time you left which by then will be the past

No, speed is absolute compared to the speed of light

"Just fuckin' tell em' you believe in the shit. When they say the Sun sucks, say "Yeah. Fuck the Sun. Long live the fuckin' beast!"

How effective is Growth Hormone in restoring lost cognitive abilities due to depression?
What about using the compound as a Nootropic?
Is there any research on the topic?
>>9118312
I always eat a large plate of beef stew.
that usually gets my spirits lift up whenever im feeling down.
>Wheither its the growth hormone in the meat
>or the vitamin B12 in the meat (lack there off is strongly correlated with depression)
>Or just the comfort that such a lovely dish provides.
It seems to help for me.
Good luck with your depression OP.
try to remain active, and talk to some people about it. that also helps
