Is an (artificial) permanent bliss state is sustainable for the human body, chemically speaking?

Probably not. For the same reasons we can't live beyond about 500 doses of LSD. Brain is toast.

Does anyone know of a chemical reaction with clay particles that will turn clay into a hard rock-like substance, like concrete? I'm not looking for additions of other forms of cement like lime or portland TO clay. I'm looking for something that can TURN clay into cement.
Just b urself
What are you trying to do?
The only way I can think of to do a clay cement would be to bake your entire wall by buidling a kiln around it after laying the bricks with clay instead of mortar.
>turn clay into a hard rock-like substance
You mean like... firing clay?
how do you become a hard worker? Am I fucked if I'm just not smart enough? Would a person with an ...
I've heard before that you need an iq of 115 to graduate college with good grades or get into graduate school? Is this true for almost all? Would most others be pushed to hard in the vast majority of cases, I feel a bit absurd even entertaining the idea of iq being a factor, it's probably a testament to how poor of a worker I am that I'd ask a question like that
But sure what do you guys have to say, how did you or do you become a hard worker?
>>9130279
>>9130279
Depends on how "stupid" you are. Sure IQ determines how fast you learn and how high your limit is.
But I am certain that once a certain level of intelligence is reached you can learn pretty much anything, al be it slower than smart people.
However these is a difference between learning and producing. It's very unlikely that you'll become part of the best of the world in your speciality unless you have a high IQ.
>how do you become a hard worker?
Sadly, just like IQ this is also part of the genetic lottery.
Think of yourself not just as an actor that acts upon the world, but as something that takes input and acts based on that.
You have to find out which stimuly (or lack thereof) makes you work hard.
For me it's going to the library, it's the only place I can study without procrastinating.
>>9130279
>how do you become a hard worker?

it's genetic lmao :^)
but seriously, pretty much anything is partly genes
What book would you recommend for me to work through after covering pic related?
I just finished my mechanical engineering degree, didn't choose any of the optional mathematics modules but now want to learn some more in my free time
There is "Advanced Engineering Mathematics" by the same author which is also pretty good.
I also recommend you go through Numerical Methods for Engineers by Chapra and Canale.
>>9130274
I really love this book.
You can try the advanced eng. math. by Stroud next.

Odd is given by:
N + N+2 + N+4...N+Infinity
Even is given by:

Thus unless it specifices at a specific Nth term, they are equal

The great debate:
Write your thesis in serif or non-serif font? Obviously in LaTeX.
Serif, of course.
>>9130027
I really like for the main text to be in serif, but I feel like sans looks clearer when labeling stuff on figures. Should I make the figure descriptions sans as well for the figures and the description to be more consistent, or serif for consistency with the main text?
>>9130034
I also have the figures in sans-serif. All the text part is in serif font though. I think it looks kinda off if your main text is in serif font but the figure description is in non-serif.
In the end it all comes down to your preference. Just try out different options, print them out and look what's best for you.

what does /sci/ actually think of this thing?
i see it passed around but does it cover precalc and trig well enough to confidently get into 1st year stuff without wishing you brushed up on it?
Honestly no. It goes into stuff that you absolutely have no use for in first year calc. Just do ch. 1, the logarithm chapter and the trig chapters in stewart's precalc and you should be fine.
Not a fan of it. Especially for people who haven't done math in a while or had a shit highschool.
Just get a normal Precalc book.
Personally I can't stand the layout of modern textbooks like Stewart's so I prefer

>>9129858
It's pretty great.
You can skip the section on isometries/congruences and the such, it doesn't really matter much.
How the fuck do I solve this, /sci/?
Assume you're given a rectangular sheet of paper with corners labelled as pictured. Your task is to fold B onto B' such that [math]\overline{AE}[/math] has minimal length.
Once you've done that, assuming you were told the ratio of [math]\overline{AB}:\overline{BC}[/math], what is the ratio of [math]\overline{BE}:\overline{EC}[/math]?
Keep in mind this is a question primarily about folding paper. So [math]\overline{BE} =\overline{B'E}[/math]. That's what the circle illustrates. Furthermore, the red triangle and the blue triangle are congruent right triangles.
I am a turbobrainlet. Prove you're at least smarter than me.
>>9129741
It's quite trivial. But why would I be helping a redditor?
>>9129741
Without loss of generality let
[math] A = (0,a) [/math]
[math] B = (0,0) [/math]
[math] E = (1,0) [/math]
then
[math] B' = \left( \frac{2 a^2}{a^2 - 1}, \frac{2 a}{a^2 - 1} \right) [/math]
[math] C = \left( \frac{2 a^2}{a^2 - 1} , 0 \right)[/math]
[math] D = \left( 0 , \frac{2 a}{a^2 - 1} \right) [/math]
So the ratio is just
[math] \frac{1}{\frac{2 a^2}{a^2 - 1} - 1} = \frac{a^2 - 1}{a^2 + 1} [/math]

Can any mathematician give me an algorithm that scales up to any number of dimensions how to do an axis-angle rotation?
>>9129624
Something that can be programmed on computer
Here's what I have going so far. If anybody can help I would appreciate or is this enough to solve for all the unknown already. I just haven't completely tried it out yet.
There are several restrictions we can use in a system of equations to arrive at the rotation. First, the distance of the moved point or any point of rotation has a distance from the origin of rotation the same as the starting point. The distance to the end point of the axis of rotation vector is also maintained, as are any number of points between the end point and the origin of rotation, which if I'm not mistaken give an endless number of additional restrictions, but one more is essential. The total distance between two points in a rotation approaches radians * radius / 2 pi, and so we can break that down to an infinitesimal and add those up because of circumference equation.
Another method I was thinking of involved using slices with an upgraded polytope in a higher dimension to make up the hypersurface where a rotation could be done using spherical coordinates along each expansion of dimensions following a single path of polytope neighbours.
>>9129624
>axis
You mean plane-angle rotation. For plane in the i-th and j-th dimension, it's just the identity matrix were eii and ejj are removed and replaced by cos(angle)*eii + cos(angle)*ejj -
sin(angle)*eij + sin(angle)*eji
