It'll give you pocket money, references, and experience in where you'll be if you drop out. Let retail hell motivate you to study seriously and get into a better work environment later. You should be able to graduate in your mid 20s and transition into professional work before you're 30.

Depending on whether you want to stay single and save for retirement or search for a partner to get married and start a family you should have a comfortable income with plenty left over.
